is my mind playing with me???
I have searched for other threads about it and.. found nothing.
So... i was playing swf this evening and one time one of my friend was like "why is knight so fast?!" we searched for add ons and perks and all, nothing that would give speedboost. He said "everytime when he hooks someone he is like super fast."
i noticed this in at least another knight game. The rest were fine though. Now i played some bots games because i wanted to see if they changed, but i just had a pig game... After my first hook i was like "whoow hang on, why am i so fast all of the sudden?" i kept like having speedbost on pig the whole trial after my first hook, or me and my friend are just tripping today..
anyone else noticed? im like litteraly questioning my sanity rn XD

I played a few games of Pyramid Head and Oni today and didn't notice anything weird about the movement speed but knowing bhvr that could happen on certain killers.
do you have a video clip showing the speed boost gain ?
it cannot be devour hope or play with your food since you were paying attention to the killer's build and yours but yes very strange.
But it is definitely possible remember when Clown got killswitched beceause he could get increased movement speed for the whole game with his yellow bottles.
BHVR and their spaghetti code breaking random stuff is quite common.

ima play some more pig on custom tomorrow, since she is the one ive noticed it on. And Knight too. Its a good idea recording it.

The Knight does have a speed boost addon. It increases him by 10% for like 8-10 seconds (purple addon) when he summons the jailer. If you put it on with the brown addon that gives 2 jailers he basically has it up like 66% of the time.

well the knights didnt have any speed boost addon (and pig certainly doesnt have knights addon either XD )

Basicly what happened he summoned a guard but when he was in the animation he got stunned. Somehow he never get out of the "summon phase" and had the same movement speed as the orb when you place routes for the guards. He still could hit people, kicking a gen didnt break that speed either, as it can be seen in the video. It only got fixed once he used the summon option again. The video goes on a while him trying to get the last survivor hatch but i hope the important part is set right, just make sure to copy paste the timestamp aswell.
I will try to recreate this tomorrow and record it, aswell as trying to see which killers are "bugged" if they are at all. But now im convinced kinda, there seems to be something off with the movement speeds rn.

This happened on a game I played 4 hours ago. I was the Meyers and the David who was unhooked earlier started zooming in chase. It happened every single time LOS was broken at the pallet, so I thought he was cheating. But then I started wondering if it was the servers, because it kind of looked like he was a video codec buffering and trying to catch up. Really weird. Never happened again after that.

Just watched the video you linked and I have no idea if Behavior is aware of this issue and if we should expect the Knight to get killswitched very soon since it is a GAME-BREAKING bug.

luckily its very niche, i havent been able to try to recreate it but i will sure record it and file a bug section thread if it happens on my game too. Killer main yes or not, that really is too much XD

Oh, I saw this last night. I thought it was just the disparity between expecting a huge guy in armor to move slow and him actually not moving slow. But yeah, he was way too fast.

i felt that today with knight again, idk maybe really his armor is decisive.

Either the update broke something, or there is a sudden uptick in hackers. About 6-7 games out of 10 the killers are ridiculously fast, catching up between loops even if they break the pallet and have nothing that would make them quicker. Especially noticable when you switch to playing killer and watch how insanely slow your pace of catching up is.

i gotta say though yesterday when i was playing pig in custom i felt i had super speed too. So maybe just some very crazy bug. have seen this only on knight and Pig so far though, Pig in custom match against bots, where i myself felt she was faster than usual after first hook.

It's the bug Terion mentioned. Otz calls it out in his video today about Knight, too. It's a known bug within the community. Knight should probably be Killswitched until this is fixed. Granted, so should his map, too, because of the tile bug that's spawning too many pallets. Kind of just a buggy patch, unfortunately. Feels bad.
