The devs know that the map is bugged but they are refusing to kill switch it. Their “solution” was to reduce its frequency. So if you want to play killer then I guess it’s tough **** for you.

Yeah I’ve had 6 survivors in the last 7 games bring it’s map offering. The devs need to realize that they ######### the pooch and that they need to kill switch the damn thing. Hell we couldn’t even ply RPD for a month, so what’s so special about this map?

Finally played on it with Knight. The only solution - 3 gen, which I guarded from the start. Then you win, but it is a very boring and long game. It is what it is.

They're not going to kill switch the map they just released for their next big update unless it has something seriously gamebreaking happening.

And yes, having a million pallets sucks, but seriously gamebreaking means crashes, places you can't kill people, broken totem spots, ect. This bug is still within the limits of functionality, so unfortunately, it's not getting killswitched. Which still sucks.

“It is what it is” is a phrase for when there is not a good solution. All the devs have to do here is disable this debacle of a map. They decreased the frequency which acknowledges there is a problem, but for some reason they are okay with it happening just sometimes.

This SHOULD be counted as game breaking because it goes against all the pallet logic that they’ve set up.

Like what the ######### is this!? It’s like I’m playing fake pallets on Freddy!

There’s these 5, one god pallet to the left, and another 2 right behind me.

I know, and I think the map should absolutely be kill switched, but you CAN still play the game as normal here.

It's not fun, it's not balanced, but like The Game, no one's crashing or becoming invincible or unsaveable or breaking collision. It just sucks.

Bro The Game is not THIS bad though. It has a god pallet problem yeah but that’s it, you can still loop like normal. I legit out mind gamed a survivor at a pallet and they had another pallet within 5ft of them completely negating their loss. There is literally nothing you can do on the shattered square unless you’re Nemesis in tier 2, Huntress, Nurse, or Legion and Wesker with their pallet breaking addons. This is a sick ######### joke that even the most mentally deranged wouldn’t find funny.

The devs needed somewhere to test out hubris

Thats not how killswitching works. The entire concept is designed so that individual elements can be removed from live servers temporarily when they fail smoke tests. This is the same type of failed smoke test as when clown was able to permanently haste himself: It didn't cause crashes or anything that disruptive, but it sure as hell created one sided games due to having a significant effect on the gameplay loop and reasonably led to him being killswitched while they worked on a fix. Not switching the map tells the story that they don't think its "that bad," which a dangerous response when considering the game's health and its future. Their pallet spawning logic has been throwing issues ever since the RPD rework, and this map straight up broke it entirely.

Edit: also the Game is a pretty bad example, as its overabundance of safe pallet generation is a pretty unanimous issue as well. Its only defense at this point is that the scarcity of vault generation kinda offsets it a bit.

Everyone needs to realize that the only way to force BHVR’s hand here is to stop playing the game. From the devs’ perspective right now, all they see is “‘most people are still playing the game and there are a few complainers on the forums, so we don’t really have an urgent problem here.” As long as the player count is acceptable, they’re going to take their sweet time fixing it.

Yes, but again, they aren't going to killswitch the map they just released for their big update if it's still TECHNICALLY normally playable. Clown took the hit because he was already out for ten thousand years.

I'm not telling you it's good or proper reasoning, I'm just telling you why they did it.

And I understand that, I'm just saying its not acceptable reasoning.
