How’s the new chapter been?
Seeing a lot of not so good reviews on the Knight. I still don’t understand how his power works and I’ve watched like maybe 4 matches with him.

This is quite likely the worst chapter release they have had. Vittorio, his perks, and Knight’s perks are solid. The Knight himself and the map are a debacle.

Well its kinda early to say how the killer actually is. But right now the generall consensus of streamers, reddit and both forums is that he´s the weakest killer atm.

I didn't like playing him on PTB so i haven't tried him on live but i know he has two major bugs where 1. His power can become unusuable 2. he can get super speed for the entire match if he uses his power at a certain point.
The new map is bugged and spawns too many pallets. But aside from that the colour scheme makes it hard to see scratch marks and personally i don't find the map fresh to play on.
Haven't tried the new perks yet, but nowhere to hide and fogwise both seem incredibly good. Perk designs are alright this chapter.
Overall the chapter is pretty meh to me, but i was never interested in the idea of a medieval chapter to begin with so i am biased in that regard.

i really like it, the knight is very fun for me to play, vittorio is a cool addition with some great looking recolors, the map is bugged at the moment so i dunno about it but the ptb version was pretty decent imo

Despise the playstyle. Give me killers like Nurse, Blight, Huntress, Oni, Billy, Wesker, Demo, etc. over these super drawn out uninteractive defensive killers. Bland and boring gameplay.

For some reason, this chapter has destabilised the entire game as a whole. From maps, to items being in overabundance (logs/rocks/etc.), interactions not working properly (like wiggling), Knight's power sometimes just not working, and so on.
It's too early to say/draw a fair conclusion I'd say.

If im a killer main depends on who you ask. Some would see me as total killer main, while total killer mains dont see me like that. I play 60/40 more favored towards killer side.
currently i switch between 24 killers back and forth, playing whoever im pleased with or in the mood for. The likes of sadako, Pig and Trickster included. I main Freddy. So i think that tells you i dont need to have the strongest of the strongest in order to enjoy the game.. And also 23 times by now i picked up a new killer once and was excited to learn how they work.
however, knight is NOT one of those cases. I knew within the PTB he would be weak, i thought he would still be fun when im able to main freddy and enjoy the games with him, knight must be good to go. But he is not. The power isnt strong enough to really asist you in any form and he is super buggy rn, both favoring but also hurting him.
And when i played my first match in the live version, i didnt even have such a bad round. It was 4 man escape but i mean i made whopping 30k bloodpoints, i got them pretty good so to say. And still i felt the tactics i had to use with him i could do with any other killer aswell, only that knights abillity is worse imo than most.
for example pig and freddy, one has basekit teleport, the other slowdown basekit. Knight is supposed to be a jack of all trades with his 3 diffrent guards but he cant do either as well as others. His visuals and design is INSANELY good, really amazing. But his gameplay feels super redundant to other killers, especcially since rn he is only viable at camping really. Which is a playstyle that wont work against good survivors and also very boring.

So twins was better? A killer that was completely broken at launch 4 out of the 6 perks completely bugged? A rushed killer is better than the knight?

It's still early but ...
Maps have some placement bugs (hopefully) that fat-shame killers.
The new map is horrible : scratch-marks are invisible or some textures are interpreted like scratch-marks.
The new killer is pretty weak and has camping potential : not exactly what I would call appealing qualities. (Against average survivors, winning isn't too difficult if you mercilessly tunnel and proxy-camp but it's not exactly fun nor glorifying)
Flash-saves are way easier now.
We should have a better picture in a week (and I'm hoping for a fix by then)

I like the visual design of Vittorio but I haven't found a ton of use for his perks. The energy one sounds interesting, but I've never been in a situation where it made sense to use it.
I like the concept of the Knight but so far I feel kind of hassled whenever I play him, like the only things I can do are fast-drop my guards at a loop or use them to camp. Also have not found a good way to use his perks.
The new map is interesting but also huge and full of pallets.
This didn't break the game as badly as some previous chapters did, but it also hasn't been smooth -- lots of new fat-shaming spots on old maps, random bugs, etc.
I give it a C+.

Killer is miserable against decent survivors.
survivor seems popular.
I think this is the first chapter I have liked the survivor overall more than the killer.
Perks seem good on both sides.
map is a dumpster fire.

I think he is a lot like sadako was at the beginning. He can be fairly decent if u adopt a certain loadout and playstyle but overall he is mediocre at best.
The true tragedy of this chapter is that it somehow managed to break the entire game. From bugs to literally bringing back godloops or bushes completely blocking shack loop for killer but not for survivor or the ability once again to get stuck in the environment. Everything is a hot mess atm which is increased by dc penalty being a thing which means u just have to sit it out when you encounter things like this.

I mean it would be nice if they took some time off and just did 1 year of QoL change improvements, fixed bugs, broken killers like Nurse, and maps. Instead of adding more and more killers, survivors, perks and maps to the game.

Fun but weak. I'd rate him on the same tier as Clown and above Pig, Freddy and Trapper. He gets an S Tier for being able to induce chuckles from me though but if you don't have a high tolerance for bugs that will definitely frustrate you at times.

I have been saying this for ages. Even 1 x 3 month cycle, dont release anything new work on the game.
Like why did this patch break the anniversary year cake hover over colours? It needs to be fixed.

A few bugs over here and over there but besides that the new killer is really fun, pretty decent and many awesome perks works with his guards like blood favor 😎. And 2 of his perks are really good, a pity that only 1 perk from vittorio is somewhat decent.

The knight is creative and tactical in my opinion. super fun despite his clunky mechanics.
i can see why survivors don't like him tho as he camp and tunnel often due to his power. Super weak killer as well which is bad because.......(drum roll)......losing is unfun.
