The Knight - Terrible killer behaviour
What is it with people playing so terribly with this new (I think awful designed killer) killer!?
I have NEVER seen so much camping or tunnelling in this game, it’s pathetic.
and continuously dropping guardians around hook is really not in the spirit of the game.
PLEASE, if you play knight as killer, play with some integrity. It’s making my friends and I not want to play anymore.

That's basically The Knight 's kit. Enjoy.
17 -
If you use his power in chase it doesn't do anything so people camp and tunnel cause he's bad.
23 -
They might be trying to figure out how his Guards path/work if they're using the power around the hook. That's what I did when playing him and still let the Survivors go at the end. Whenever I used his power at a loop, the Survivor is gone and I can't figure out the direction they went because the new map looks like an endgame collapse and it's disorienting going back to the Knight's POV after placing down a Guard.
1 -
How about you tell the devs about the killer being weak, thats why people camp and tunnel as them?
How about not blaming the players for a Knight being so weak so you can't do anything else but camp or tunnel?
8 -
dont forget the make your choice knights. real soloQ stomper
6 -
Honestly it's the only good thing about him and it's a bug
15 -
??? This killer is a 4k machine
Look at that detection radius, it's insane. Into a 16 second chase
Anytime a survivor goes to an isolated tile it's been a free hit or they are forced to leave. Even shack hasn't been safe
Don't understand how people think this killer is bad, he can also instadown if you wait for the guard to hit someone before you do too
7 -
Yep, pretty much sums it up here
5 -
PLEASE, if you play knight as killer, play with some integrity.
We are the killers, not sisters of mercy.
25 -
Camping is the only thing his power is good at though. You can't use it in a chase because the survivor just runs away to another tile.
3 -
Yeah as others have said he's a badly designed killer. He's supposed to be used in a tactical manner, but so long as survivors can always see where he's placing down his power, they'll just run away, which incentivizes players to use his power to camp.
It's also rather unfortunate that if you use the knights to kick a generator, they don't even benefit from the 2.5% instant regression. It makes sense for perks to not apply, but not having the 2.5% regression is a big oversight and makes kicking generators with them pointless. Bottom line, the guy needs some massive buffs.
1 -
Nemisis is just better is every way guards chase for like 12s they are 5% faster than surivors and you don't even need to out run the guards just grab the banner after 5s you get a Sprint burst also
zombies chase forever can be made faster with addons don't despawn unless killed don't have to command them to exist and you can insta down them also
Plus he has a power that can be used anywhere
1 -
Killers are not here to entertain you.
Murder doesn't come with integrity.
And camping isn't illegal.
13 -
I am using the 16s hunt addon in that game.
The assassin with the detection addon can be dropped in the middle of two tiles and you shut down both without having to kick either of them. Zombies don't chase survivors straight through pallets and windows at up to 4.4m/s.
Knight can break a gen 40m+ away with addons, and then immediately turn around to drop a guard to face camp someone for up to 30s, and then go patrol an entirely different gen all within a 15 second window or something
0 -
Zombies can have detection range addons pressure a person for much longer than 16s and at an infinite range and there's 2 of them and Guards camping dosent work because as soon as they start the unhook animation yhe hunt ends even zombies are better at camping because they don't de spawn
5 -
It's a poorly designed power that is only good at area control. Not sure why they designed a killer around it considering how hugely unpopular that playstyle is. It's year 6. We already know how that's going to go over.
2 -
*dun dun dun dun* Temple of loooohoooovuuuu
1 -
People get hit by guards in places that are not corners? LMAO they are literally easier to loop than sadako.
2 -
Every bad killer since Deathslinger, if people don't feel confident they can win through chasing, they just camp and tunnel. It means the killer needs a buff.
2 -
The killers objective is to defend the survivors objectives. Those objectives include generators, totems, exit gates, and other survivors, particularly hooked ones.
Defending objectives is literally this killers only power, it's certainly not a chase power.
A guard placed at a hook is easy to deal with. You either wait the very short amount of time it's active (giving time for the killer to actually move away from the hook), or if you start a hunt you either grab the standard or make the rescue before you get hit.
So far my only success in using his power is to pressure survivors off gens from a distance with DMS, and to use his Iri add on that's basically a pocket Blood Warden. Every other scenario they simply outrun them.
2 -
well, the knight needs deleting then.
1 -
Maybe you shouldn’t be playing the game. Perhaps you don’t understand the principle of integrity?
the point is, play fairly or don’t play.
I don’t care if I eacape, I care about having a good quality game.
3 -
I think you should try playing him, he sucks himself and his power is weak and awful
2 -
well, tell BHVR to make him stronger, cause rn camping is the only thing he got going for him. And exploits.
1 -
Lol I wouldn’t pay for that mess.
0 -
imagine getting mad at people for taking advantage in a pvp game
2 -
he needs buff, not delete
2 -
He needs an overhaul and firing of the programmers on this release.. it’s buggy as hell!
0 -
bro we had zombies today they were even more of a trouble than nemesis himself XD eye add on (35% more speed) + that one that does make them 50% faster. They were EVERYWHERE XD and clinging on the very gens we needed to get done most.
0 -
oh its buggy alright. When survivors throw a pallet at a guard, which cant be stunned, the killer gets stunned even if he is like 10m away.
3 -
And how do you go about that when there’s no ears at the other end?
0 -
The problem is, I don’t want to be a Guinea pig in nearly every match with the knight, but I take your point.
1 -
Sensible replies only please.
1 -
You don't get to dictate what is or isn't fair play.
9 -
I Like This. I Personally don’t camp with Knight but I do respect someone reminding Survivors we killer mains aren’t npcs. We do things based out of emotion and reasoning.
6 -
Who would you consider bad? Not poking fun, just would like to see. I personally Just find The Twins and Cenobite to be hard for me to use.
0 -
Who isn't, aside from Nurse and Blight? I'll pick 3.
Twins before their nerf weren't even that good. Not only is the transition time terrible between attacking/downing with Victor, switching back to Charlotte, picking up, then finally switching back to Victor, making it to where hooking is basically an unviable playstyle for them, but the nerf messed up some of their best add-ons and put even more cooldowns on their power. Not accounting for misses or anything, btw, which can very easily happen because Victor's hitbox is razor thin when his pounce actually would hit a survivor, but big as a truck when any little obstacle is nearby. Couple that with him being taken hostage and countered at lockers, it's just a terrible killer.
Nemesis basically only has fast pallet breaks going for him, and sometimes that doesn't even matter. Also was nerfed btw, his best add-ons. He gives survivors a sprint burst from simply infecting them with the tentacle attack, assuming you ever land it because it has a microscopic hitbox most of the time, and now they've removed drag tech so it's gonna be even harder. His zombies make Knight's AI look good, because they never do anything half the time, they sandbag you, or they get trapped in a corner. They can also be killed and blinded. Survivors are given 4 or 5 cures to his power, meaning you have to tentacle them again (free sprint burst) just so you can use his tentacle attack for anti-loop again. He's also huge and loud, meaning no stealth or mindgames around loops. Survivors can simply crouch at a loop and the tentacle attack will always miss, because of the wonky hitbox. Again, he gets called OP for breaking pallets quick, but that's all he's got.
Pinhead, yet another nerfed killer that didn't need it, had his best add-ons ruined, and had the most unique and fun strategy in the game (Hoarder/box defender) taken from him. You couldn't really defend the box in the first place a lot of the time because of BS circumstances that are constant in the match. You have to be in range, have the right angle, not miss once, not spawn the possessed chain view behind a rock or wall, and the survivor can't solve it before you can interrupt them again. Any one of those steps fails, you lose the box and all your pressure with it. They can also simply hold the box and the chain hunt will deactivate for everyone else. Teleporting to the box, rather than giving you a chance to save the chain hunt, resets it anyway, so what's the point? The chain spawns are also awful and delayed a lot of the time, so it barely affects them. Your possessed chain, even if you do manage to hit it with lightning reactions, will not guarantee a thing, because you can hit someone with it like 8 times and maybe that gets you A hit. Since the chains instantly break on obstacles, and yourself, that can totally happen. The cherry on top is that once it gets down to 2 survivors left, the chain hunt can be active but it won't spawn ANY additional chains to go after them. Massively overrated killer as well.
It's not just you. These killers are hard to play because they have nothing going for them. And then you have people like me who play on console when these killers' control schemes and precision/reaction requirements on controller, which makes it twice as hard to play them. But regardless, I don't think I can pick up a mouse and keyboard and suddenly go from getting 0ks with Nemesis to getting 4ks. These killers are bad.
4 -
I too play on console. I main Doctor and Huntress, but use Pyramid Head during events.
1 -
1) He is not even the best killer at doing either of these things (camp & tunnel).
2) He is weak so people gona use whatever they can to secure kills with that little they have
3) You can just rush hook and guard deactivates in process
3 -
Don't know how you do Huntress. Can't hit someone running right in front of me half the time. Doctor and Pyramid Head, in terms of controlling their powers, are fine. It's just that you can't flick with Pyramid Head's power, so it's super choreographed if they can see you.
1 -
For me it is more the double standard that NOTHING a Survivor does is ever unfair, but Killers need to play by some weird rules of honor.
7 -
Six years of survivors complaining about camping and the devs bright idea was to make a killer who could -wonder of wonders-camp hooks more efficiently. That's literally his power with one Guard even being called the Jailer. This killer could have been A Tier and folks would still camp because why not?
3 -
Don't fool yourself that people are camping because he is weak. It is literally part of his kit to patrol everything, including hooked survivors.
0 -
I find that quick dropping a guard at one end of the loop (double click power) either ends the loop fast or gets you a pinch and a down. Works really well with the jailer perk 10% speed boost.

I think you will find I can. The point of a forum like this is to air opinion. Clearly you don’t have to agree, of course.
next you will be trying to mansplain me. It’s probably best you don’t.
0 -
Such arrogance will bring this game to its knees eventually.
’you killers’, will not have a game to play if you see an inevitable exodus.
I also remind you to look at the official poll, most people play both.
finally, a thought… if too many people find the game pointless to play, they won’t. I am afraid market laws will take over and if the $€¥£ doesn’t work out, there’s no game.
do you think they develop this game for fun? No, it’s money. Don’t delude yourself that its some altruistic agenda.

Passing off something you believe as a fact when it is really an opinion is called pontificating, and that's all you've been doing.
3 -
It's just the twin's syndrome. Kinght's ability is geared towards camping, messing with unhooks and slugging. It's not a fun playstyle to go against but still a legitimate tactic. Plus atm a lot of people gonna be sweating for his adept. I certainly will play like an absolute ass when I'm going for my adept.
0 -
I more or less agree with everyone else -- it's not that everyone just spontaneously decided to camp with the Knight because they wanted to be jerks -- the issue is that his power is designed in such a way that the main thing it's good for is camping.
The best counter I've found as survivor is just to take the aggro from the guard as soon as possible and run away. 99% of the time they won't catch you, and you can get them stuck on a rock or something.

Arrogance is thinking YOU have the moral authority to tell me how to play a game.
