The second iteration of 2v8 is now LIVE - find out more information here: https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/kb/articles/480-2v8-developer-update

Knights are already back to playing Spirit, Nurse or Blight

This actually made me shed a tear. It was a ton of fun to play against him, and now it's the same boring killers again before the chapter released.

He's just not fun, has no skill expression, and has a minuscule reward. If his antiloop was actually good, at least he would be unfun for one side and "sweaty fun" for another side. But they made him weak, boring, and non-interactive. Every time I press my power ability, I feel dead inside as I see how easily survivors can counter his ability.

By far, one of the worst chapters BHVR has released. At a high MMR, he's 100 % dead content already. But hey, we may get a rework of him in 2025 after Twins gets reworked.

I find him fun personally but I’ve mained clown for 3 years so I’m not a good voice for the communities feelings

Fact is spirit, blight and nurse are strong and super fun to play as. Knight has a pretty low skill floor, A simple gameplay loop and he’s very weak. All good reasons to not want to play him

Clown is actually fun as hell to play though. The laugh, you can end chases pretty fast, it feels satisfying landing a nice bottle throw, especially a touchdown throw over a jungle gym, you can see his belly, you can be toxic as hell and facecamp with pinky finger, he offers a little something for everyone. Knight is boring as hell in comparison

what a surprise, a killer that has litteraly all of his power made visible to survivors, even buffing them when they pick up the flag and easyly avoidable doesnt get played much.. who woulve thought?

Surely those 6 years experience from BHVR payed out....

Agreed that clown is fun. He’s simple but has a surprising amount of depth. Knight is fun to me atm but I’d say he’ll wear out his welcome soon

Plus he’s visually uninteresting to me. Never been big on medieval stuff

A power that does nothing in chase if you hold W and doesn't last long enough to not use in a chase.

    Cool power...

I'm just glad I didn't pay actual $ for this killer. I'd be asking for a refund. Iri shards FTW

What are you talking about? His antiloop is incredible. You can't really even attempt to loop him. Unfortunately, that's all he has and he's useless if you don't stay at the loop. He's pretty good at Midwitch though when the guards actually do what they're supposed to.

I disagree, personally, that Knight is unfun to play. His power just doesn't work the way it is intended to. Way too much visual feedback and it feels a bit clunky. Also his guards are too slow. A survivor can simply outrun them.

My bad for expressing it. His anti-loop is good, but what's the point of good anti-loop if it doesn't result in quick downs? His time to down is atrocious. So while his anti-loop is good in theory, in practice it's bad besides a few loops which were not super safe to begin with.

Deathslinger is much more effective in most of the loops.

Because you can hold W, his power stinks, and his map pressurs stinks so you can blast gens. That's what survivor mains love about facing him.

It depends if you are playing for bloodpoint grinds or just for a casual fun time. If i am grinding i want easy killers for max BP, but for fun a blight or nurse is great to play

I have noticed all of this. His guards can be easily outrun and need a buff for the next update, and it is easy to see his power charging.

He sucks to play as and against.

It's one thing if the Killer is funny to play against, like Ghostface. At least you know people are having a good time.

Knight is just so boring to play against and to play as.

Run to loop, place Guard, run away from loop. Repeat ad nauseum

Yeah, Knight is boring to play as in a way that is effective, and ineffective to play in the way that should be fun. His power just wasn't well thought out.

The same boring killers you said ? the ones that actually requires some skills and are fun to play & master

The Knight is a complete failure an AI power is just stupid and doesn't fit in a multiplayer game like DBD

Everything about his power is so predictable and telegraphed BHVR thought it was a good idea to give survivors alot of information on this already mediocre killer

If you like playing against weak killers like the Knight of course you're gonna enjoy it beceause the game is so easy against low tier killers but the moment you go against a Blight or a Spirit you call them "boring".

Players like to play killers where they can express their own skill, Huntress and Blight are good examples they don't want some AI doing the work for them that's bad design you don't even feel rewarded for playing well

Killers aren't "boring" it's just a skill issue you can't play against good killers that have a chance of winning you got used to holding W and looping shack against garbage killers like Pig/Wraith

I want to know how do you have fun playing against this budget Artist it really boggles my mind

didn't want to sound mean no offense ok?

Hi I must be in low MMR but I am enjoying playing Knight. I only have about 15 games with Knight (as killer) and about 9 as survivor.

I think there are still some skill tactics to be worked out. I will let you know after I get 100 games under my belt.

Yes, Knight needs some buffs nd re-works to be more fun, but is still unique enough and comes with some decent perks.

I have replaced my Twins games with Knight if that gives you some hints on my perspective :)

Love the ability that people have to turn any post into an "Us vs Them" post. Guy literally gave 0 zero indication that he liked versing Knight just because hes weak. Just that he liked versing him.

Doesnt even make sense either considering the majority of people dont like versing weak killers because most of them have boring playstyles and counterplay. Trapper, Sadako and Freddy are ones that come to mind

Why stick at an useless D-Tier-Killer to be the punching bag for a nice SWF if u want to have some fun too?

If u compare him with the other D-Tier-Trash-Killers like Trapper, Freddy, Myers or Sadako, I can see more fun playing these instead of Mr. "I place Bots and be an M1-Killer besides that"

Because those killers can actually play.

How do you get so many Spirits? I want to see her in over half of my matches.

personally i think he's more fun but at the same time a lot more frustrating because of his limitations. spirit, nurse, blight, these killers you listed have one thing in common that makes them enjoyable compared to knight.

technically speaking, the only limitation they have is their power's cooldown. yes there are things like blight can't hit on first rush and spirit can't see survivors but these are more like things you can get used to playing around and survivors can't really abuse it all the time. however comparably, these are so minor because the knight has, what, a banner to literally cancel his power and give free 2 best status effects for the survivor, information on when and how his power is being used, etc.

there are no extra information or any counter given to survivors against their power. also they're just a lot more fast paced which i guess is more likable for most players in general, seeing as how hag, trapper, twins, et cetera, tend to be the less played

My last Knight (Legendary skin as well) I saw in my Survivor game:

    • Camps everyone he can
    • Gens go fast
    • He DC after few minutes

    oh well...

Edit: I just got another Knight but he got 0K and gens were quite fast considering he had gen slowdown perks.

Yeah it's kinda sad. Knight could've been a great killer if they actually took a chance with his power and not made it so survivor friendly.

Called it 1 day after his release. People playing him dropped significantly after not even 24 hours.

Maybe he´ll see some love in the next year. But then again, when was Sodoku released again? So maybe 2024?

Faced him once and it was a bit boring. I love the design and I'm playing as Knight a lot, but he offers little for (power) and against (fun)

Uff i enjoy trapper D: i mean i hate going against him because its so stressful, but playing as him has been fun lately. U just have to place traps in places that arent very obvious and its kinda fun when they keep stepping in my 1000iq traps lol

I avoid playing Trapper for the betterment of my own mental health tbh

Trapper is significantly more fun to play than Knight. Sure he blows ass, but catching someone in a great trap or catching two people at once in different spots is infinitely more satisfying than literally anything you can do with Knight besides maybe the double tap down
