Survivor mic in game/crossplay groupchat
Imagine you could talk with your team mate. But only when you are close to them. And the futher you get from eachother the sounds becomes distant/faded, and the closer you get the more clear you can hear eachother. This would change the game experience. Imagine just saying hello to the random teammate ^^
Or when you have invited friends into a lobby. You can just turn on in game party chat. Then we can talk to over crossplay.

Why use a limited range option like this while discord/Xbox party/whatever PlayStation uses etc. is easier and map-wide?

In theory I like this, but that's where people being people comes in. If every person playing this game was a decent human being that would be cool. But imagine the onstorm of sexist and racial slurs people would spam since so many are just toxic humans beings.

This.
You would have people spewing slurs left and right loud music and definitely you will have people that sandback you and don't unhook or heal you because you tab out of voice chat

Then you need a option to mute plp. Instead of having a party on ps4/ps5 or having a discord party. When you have a group with your friends, crossplay friends or not. You can have this option on to be able to talk with eachother when you are close by. To get the scary feeling ^^

True. I see how people would be toxic. Maybe have this function on custom game first to see how that is with friends ^^ maybe better to just leave it in custom game then
