What would be your thoughts on an "avoid as teammate" option?

Yes, I'm making this thread because I've been having a streak of bad games as survivor not because of the killer, but because of one or two of my teammates. I'm not the type to dodge lobbies but I've been resorting to that as, for the sake of my own fun, I can't be giving people second chances anymore.

Survivor queues have been almost instant as always at any time I play, so that made me think of another game I used to play, Overwatch, which granted you the option to avoid getting queued with a limited number of people of your choosing (I think it was around 3 players). I mentioned instant queues because it means it wouldn't be a problem for the troll to find another lobby even if they got avoided by someone.

I'm currently on the process of thinking whether or not this would be good for the game, as I can already see flaws on such a system because of the possibility of people mass-avoiding someone they choose to target, among a couple other niche scenarios.

Do you think this would be a good feature or a detriment to the game? Please let me read your thoughts on this.

You can already block them by clicking on their name. If you block them, queue and find someone you blocked again, you can see it by clicking on their name and dodge the lobby

Yeah but you can still click on their name and check if they're blocked or not in pre-lobby.

If they're going to implement this, then yes, I think they'd need to have a limited amount rather than unlimited so people aren't just mass avoiding someone for not using a meta build, or using Head On or whatever.

That said, the reason why systems like this work in Overwatch is because it puts the person on the enemy team rather than your team. It doesn't stop them from being matched with you at all, just on your team, which is fine in a 5v5 somewhat symmetrical game because the game is still going ahead regardless. The problem with DBD is - you're not just stopping that person from being matched *with you*, you're stopping them from being matched with anyone that joins your game, so the 2 other survivors and the killer. That could make a person's queue time massive in a relatively small amount of avoids taking region matchmaking into account, though obviously I haven't done the potential maths on this so couldn't say.
