Why is Trickster not 115%?

No, I'm serious; why is The Trickster not a 115% Killer when you factor in the overall nature of him and his power? He has a mediocre power that takes time and good luck to get value from it and it slows him down considerably over time. And it wouldn't even make him oppressive if he was.

all proper range killers are 110% m/s. His throwing mode slowing him down for considerable amount over time is a problem considering he has throw many knives to get injuries which forces him to stay in throwing mode a lot longer then other rangers killers.

Pretty much, other ranged killers only need ONE hit to injure someone, which is why they are slow.

Trickster is the opposite, requiring several hits, and his knives not only are inaccurate due to recoil which can screw you over easily, like around corners, but they are pretty much useless at long distances cause of it.

In my opinion, that would make him way too oppressive in chase given that he already has a great chasing power that can snowball survivors. It'd be nice if they made him more of a ranged killer though like having less of an arc, no recoil, and a three round burst when using his power

he should be around 105%-110% m/s. in fact it makes little sense that the more knives he throws, the slower he gets. it should work opposite way. he should speed-up the more knives he throws.

It makes sense to his lore as well. Just listen to his audio cues. He loves the thrill of pain and actively seeks excitement for every knives he throws at the survivor. He thrusts for blood and pleasure as he tortures the victims. He is meant to be eccentric with flame passion the more he throws. Its all over his cartography with his voice and voice lines in game.

His gameplay does not match his balance. Instead of becoming on fire, He becomes weaker the more he throws knives and slower. Easier to line of sight(LOS), more distanced gained for throwing making it harder to do long distance shots. Yeah his gameplay is just weird. I assume his bad balance is survivor hand-holding and survivor disliking his gameplay for whatever reason. Cool character though.

Because they should clearly be the priority.

It's not as if they're doing super well against Trickster right now. They wouldn't even feel the buff.

But we're fine letting characters move at 115% who:

    • Spew projectile vomit that can make you one-shot downable, with add-ons that increase that lethality and a part of their power that actually injures on contact with a long duration time (Plague)
    • Have ranged attacks that go through walls, with add-ons that increase the range (Pyramid Head)
    • Can actually just use a projectile that slows you down considerably, with add-ons that take health states (Pinhead)
    • Literally can snipe you from the entire map through walls and box you in with their projectiles (Artist)

    And not a character who:

    • Has to build up a certain amount of knife damage before inflicting actual damage

The thing is that Trickster can down from farther ranges too with not much difficulty and has no cooldown with his knife throws so that he can continuously spam them. His knives are the fastest projectiles in the game and he has a large supply of them.

This is different from Plague who doesn't always have her corrupt purge and can be stunned out of it, Pyramid Head who only has short range attacks, Pinhead who cant down with his power, and Artist who has cooldowns, set up times, and can only down when crows are swarming survivors or at very short range.

This isn't to say that Trickster is immensely strong, but he does have more snowball potential than the other killers listed because his power is faster to use and can still down at longer ranges. However, I do think he could use a rework on how his knives function to make it more fun for both sides.

Pinhead can down with his power using the iri addon Engineers Fang.

Engineer's Fang can injure a survivor, but it cannot down them. If it hits an injured survivor with the add-on equipped, it will only spawn chains.

also as a trickster enjoyer, NO.

he's already oppressive in chase that only triples his oppressiveness as his only counter is to make distance on him and use los but 115% trickster would be almost impossible to get away from plus he's a ranged killer so it would be weird for him to not be follow their design.

he should be buffed in other ways, like removing the recoil and he should speed up slightly with every knife he hits.

I agree, I've always found it odd that he's slower when he throws. Since, like you said, from his audio cues alone he is excited near giddy with happiness at the mere thought of causing pain and suffering just to hear their "sound" as he pelts them with knives. He really should get a speed boost, especially when Main Event becomes available/activated.

For real though, I could live with a slow throwing speed as long as his overall mobility was buffed, like nothing major but maybe to 105-110% (like you suggested) just so he can cover ground a little easier. Some of the maps for are just too large for Trickster to pressure properly, especially if he gets screwed over by tile spawns and he's forced to play as a crappy M1 killer because there's just too much safe debris and clutter for survivors to hide behind.

Imo, change Main Event, that's like play with ur luck to do something good (Hi ! trees and lockers to dodge this "power up") he needs something strong or just remove it.

1=> buff knifes like, it can stick longer on survivors so next time The Trickster sees him/her, he need less knifes ? (with less amo maybe ??)

Or, 2=> buff movespeed while M2 like others said above me, maybe stay at 110% while throwing knifes (sounds good to me, he needs more to hit not like huntress, fair enough)

Maybe, 3=> or major rework on M2, for example, knifes and stay on the ground or on palette/window, if a survivor walk/vault on this path, he gets a "stack of knifes" but each reload refresh it.

Prehaps, 4=> add status effect ? need to remove knifes (too many killers do it so kinda boring like Doctor, Pig, Pinhead) ? deep wound ?
