Special Vaults and Vault Speed confusion

A recap for those that are not aware.
In the latest major patch, 6.4.0, killer perks that affect vault speed such as Fire Up and Bamboozle were changed to no longer affect "special vaults" on killers in an undocumented but apparently deliberate change. This change affects Legion in Frenzy, Wesker using Virlent Bound, Myers in T3 (not sure about T2), and Wraith with Shadow Dance.
The goal of these changes
Now, this is speculative but I would assume this was done to add some consistency. With Superior Anatomy, it was changed so that this perk would no longer affect Frenzy/Bound vaults for the live game despite working on the PTB. No exact reason was given for this, as I don't know anyone that complained, but this was done.
With this change, there was a new standard that "Special vaults" would not be affected by vault perks. So with 6.4.0, Bam/Fire Up was given the Superior Anatomy treatment.
The confusion
There are a couple of issues with this latest change.
1) Myers - Why is his vault given the treatment? Yes, he is faster but he vaults the same way a normal killer would. It's similar to Nurse with her blink attacks, the differences, while existent, are so minor that they might as well be the same thing. Ditto for Wraith as his vaults are LITERALLY the exact same as any other killer, just buffed by add-ons. Furthermore, T3 isn't something Myers can just turn off. He chooses when it starts, but it's not like Frenzy that you can turn off; you just deal with it. So for an entire minute (at least), he's effectively lost half a perk.
2) Consistency adds inconsistency - The changes only affect the vault speed portion of the perks. Bamboozle's blocker? It still works. And you can't say this is unintended atm, because Bamboozle has the text "does not block pallets" which is only doable by Legion/Wesker using their special vaults, with Legion being the literal reason it was added. It's giving the message "vault perks don't work with special vaults, except when they do."
3) Why? - No, really. Why? I didn't understand the change to Superior Anatomy, never mind extending it to the rest. The only issue I remember from the PTB was Legion's pallet vault not consuming the perk, unlike Wesker's. Beyond that, there was no issue. The people that I know used Bam/Fire up on Legion only used it as a feel-good perk because vaulting fast is fun, but numbers were small enough that it was no consequence to the survivors, except Bamboozle's blocker, which remains.
Conclusion
The changes I feel are baffling. I genuinely want to understand the reasoning behind these changes, because I do not see any good reason for them. I don't believe it compromises counterplay because it barely saves any time, Wesker has a long wind-up and cooldown, Legion has a fatigue, Wraith needs to uncloak, and Myers is... well, Myers. And any balance arguments are moot when Bamboozle's blocker still works, something I don't see anyone complain about either. So it feels like a random shadow nerf for the sake of removing an inconsistency that only exists because of another seemingly random decision.
Edit: I would also like to add, if we disable Bam on special vaults and say "any non-standard vault is a special vault" then we'd have to disable the perk on a T2 Myers (his vault is slightly faster), and... yeah, I don't imagine that'll go over well considering he pretty much can't play the game until he gets to T2, which makes the perk almost completely unusable on him.

I've said it before, but a killer vaulting faster in their power, whether its Legion, Wesker, Wraith, or Myers, doesn't just make them automatically op.
Myers will eventually get out of Tier 3 (or spend a long while getting unlimited tier 3), Wraith has to uncloak before attacking a survivor, Wesker has to both charge up and cool down from his power before and after the vault in order to hit a survivor afterward, and Legion of course either goes through a fatigue or has to earn the five hits in their power to down the survivor.
Therefore, the changes to killers being unable to utilize the fast vaults in their powers are pointless and unnecessary. If they have the vault perk or perks equipped, it's one or more less perks that they didnt invest into a gen regress build, and overall it's just fun to have perks that synergize like that with the power and make the power feel good to use.
I really hope the changes are reverted as it simply takes away from fun builds.

Shadow nerfing is beginning to feel like an uncommon occurrence in DbD.
This time around, too, there was no mention of it in the patch notes. Is this how people claim transparency and consistency?
We know that if necessary, we can make additions to the patch notes that we have already published.

Wait they seriously removed that synergy? Christ they balance this game in such a boring way

christ this is such an unnecessary change, it's blast mine all over again. guess the fun part of vault perks are gone now since community feedback just goes in the garbage at this point.

I been playing DBD since I was a sophomore (2017) and have been keeping tabs with the game here and there. I'm so hesitant to even come back because the devs make poor design choices. I want to love the dev team and support them, but they are 50/50 on listening to their community. Like, they do some things that's REALLY cool, then they do things that don't make any sense. Prime example: Making vault perks not work on special vaults is disingenuous, no one was complaining about it and people enjoyed being fast.
Guess it's back to running 4 regression perks instead of a cool vault speed build. And watch, they are going to say it's for consistency purposes and will make vault speed for Legion + Wesker into a add-on, as if we need killers to be more add-on dependent. But if you are going to remove a synergy, at least make some slight basekit changes. People using perks to supplement killer powers and cover their weakness is nothing new.
