What's the trick to Deathslinger?

Play another killer? I'm working on the achievement and this killer just seems outclassed in every way. Slower, you miss and you lose tons of time, people can use pallets etc. to "block" your power.

Wouldn't mind some advice on how to play this guy, really looking forward to getting this achievement and never touching him again. Every match is 0-1K.

    Patience, Muscle memory/understanding the chain itself

    And most important of all

    Good perks


    From my experience good survivors will start trying to dodge the second you start aiming, which often times means they'll lose distance and you can zone them out a bit and get closer

    Also don't be afraid to force injuries by just shooting over pallets. An injured survivor is better than a healthy survivor and even if you don't commit they have a deep wound to deal with

    The most important tip I can give you is that you need to be aware that your chain doesn’t start breaking immediately when you land a shot, and doesn’t break instantly once it does.

    Also, there’s power in not letting the survivor know you’re a bad shot. Bluffing is arguably one of Slinger’s strongest tools if you struggle with actual hits.

    Gen slowdown perks, anti healing perks or save the best for last are usually key picks for a slinger

    He's a slow killer that can sometimes struggle with their first down so Corrupt can be good. Deadlock is also very good on him

    also remember, his gun has a bit of travel time

    The trick is not missing the shots, as silly as it sounds Deathslinger is a beast at chasing, there is no way to escape him even if he keeps missing but here is the kicker, miss enough and the gens will be fixed before you can start putting up any semblance of pressure. Once you get really really good at him you can end chases fast enough but you cant miss more than a couple of shots in the entire match, I believe is one of the most punishing Killers for not being very good with his power (the other being Hillbilly).

    Well said, you miss a few times it's over. I just had a 4k but had to slug a bit and get lucky with noed.
