Kill Switch update: We have temporarily disabled The Legion due to an issue that allows for infinite power spam. The Legion will be re-enabled once this issue is fixed.

Iron Maiden may become a Problem Perk

Survivors that enter Lockers have no method of avoiding its effects.

This means that if any Killer Power was introduced that pushed survivors into entering Lockers to avoid power effects or remove debuffs, it would be disproportionately effective compared to other Killers.

This could limit Power design of Killers as well.

Maybe it could be reworked to:

Increase Search speed

Survivors are unable to slowly exit Lockers within your Terror radius, and gain exposed if the exit quickly.

Survivors have an unlock prompt when inside a Locker in your Terror radius that allows them to spend time to exit quietly.

That's a pretty big "if", I don't think the perk needs changing until there is a killer power that forces survivors into lockers. As it is right now it's honestly pretty weak, so it certainly doesn't need to be nerfed on the offchance that later on down the line it might become a problem, imo.

You mean like how Huntress' take Iron Maiden because it is disproportionately stronger on her and Trickster than other killers and that the fear of BBQ creates free Exposures?

I think well be fine, even that's not an issue

You can enter into a locker to remove Artists birds and no ones trying to "Abuse" Iron Maiden.

You can Avoid Doctor shocks with Lockers as well

For huntress and Trickster it's a matter of seconds.

In combination with BBQ its strength is not that it gives exposure, but that it gives information that Survivors would hope to have suppressed. (Not like hiding your Aura for BBQ is a smart play unless you're nearly done with a gen or dead on hook anyway)

Artist's birds are removed immediately and can be hopped out of immediately, she's still an M1 Killer with regards to having to actually catch up with the player.

I'm talking a power design more in the realm of: "What if Doctor's Madness only reduced while hiding in a Locker, or against Legion what if you needed to Mend in a Locker?", where it's frequent attrition gameplay where you need to enter a "safe haven" to combat.

As it is, it seems like BHVR have been making custom interactions for all the Powers like this (though Mending has moved onto other things). Not sure if that's something that's desired or not in the long run.

Then as jesterkind said "IF" they make a power designed around lockers, we could look at changing how this perk works. Otherwise it's... underpowered for most.

    The perk is honestly fine.

Expose is 30 seconds so unless you exit the locker near the killer, it's unlikely you'll get downed from the expose. The noise notification scream is nice, but weaker for tracking since there's no aura to follow.

This already exists, we have Killers who have aspects of their power countered by Lockers

Survivors can instantly be rid of a crow swarm from Artist by jumping into a locker

Zombies from Nemesis instantly lose aggro to a survivor who gets into a locker

And it's possible to counter Bubba using lockers too, albeit it's much harder

None of these killers run Iron Maiden, I see Bubba's running it occasionally but it's just not worth it. The perk's fine as is.

Right. The premise of the entire thread is that it "may become" an issue.

Probably whenever Killer Instinct stops occurring on Survivors in Lockers.
