seriously, nothing changed, people mess around in events in other games and try to have fun

meanwhile this community

i tried to playing around in a snowman in the same game with no hooks, 2 gens popped.....

and yes im running a "tryhard build" as well since every other fun build i tried basically got me nothing but survivors saying i suck thanks <3

and no i didn't win because of eruption or the build i won because they 3 gened themselves like usual so don't go there

so why don't we maybe stop sweating for 3 seconds and run something different ? or maybe don't insult people that are trying to have fun

edit : ahh the killer brought a mori, they must be sweating for kills even tho it changed absolutely nothing but to simply add an animation, so scary, seriously im not sure how people even using the mori as a counter argument ON A PIG...players still take moris seriously....that's just sad..its 2022 not 2017 moris aren't as scary as they were lol

back from a game :

before anyone starts being so smart i only manage to secure those 2 kills because i tunneled mikaela and camped dwight if not for that it was a instant lose

just don't run a mori and maybe don't run a sweaty build, oh look the survivors are bring even more sweaty builds....nah don't franklin's let the survivors use their stuff, and btw eruption didn't help at all because its ormand....and they are SWF how crazy it is that survivors are trying to have fun when they are gen rushing like their lives depend on it.....this place has lot of hypocrisy its quite amazing

and i know im gonna get only survivors telling me the same thing so, please read the comments below and if u have the same opinion, keep it yourself ty <3

To be fair. You probably just confirmed to those survivors that they still need to try hard during this event.

My games usually go the opposite way. I 'try' at the start, and secure my two hooks per survivor. Then I ease off and dick around, making it very clear I'm doing so (by intentionally not hooking survivors on death hook). This makes survivors either turn 'grateful' and join in, or they try to scamper out of the exits as soon as they can. If they're very obviously not joining in, I'll probably kill them off to teach them a lesson. XD

I have about a 50% success rate in this (in the sense that 50% of the time survivors join in and have fun, it usually results in several escapes either way)

Several "5 snowmen" scenarios, and a few survivors who were too scared to do anything but point at me and maintain a 20m gap between us.

The benefit of doing it this way, and securing my hooks first, is that regardless of the outcome, everyone goes away with good scores. 35K+ each if they just run, and 45K+ each if they join in and high five those mittens.

I have to say, my second event match yesterday, was against a nemesis. He hopped into a snowman, one mate called it and we were still sitting at gens, thinking he will approach us without terror radius.

As soon as I've seen him myself and he slowly walking towards us, I was just thinking, alright, let me get into one snowman either and have some fun. We dance around, had some 30 seconds fun, two other mates came around with snowmans too and then the match started, after he was hitting me.

We played the match normally and after the last gen popped, he kindly waited for all of us at the gate and let us escape. So we hopped into snowmans again, gave him high five with them and escaped.

So in conclusion, maybe the survivors just thought, yo want to approach with no terror radius and continued doing gens. Maybe they weren't even with any in swf and couldn't even call that. Because it's just not obvious as survivor, that there are killers, who want everyone to have fun and not just 4k slug or tunnel. So give them some time to notice, you are friendly this match and don't get mad, that they don't trust it at all.

DBDs community is pretty toxic, not all, but plenty. So most of them go into the match, pushing their objectives. Killer trying to kill all, survivors trying to get gens done, because that's the most "fun" they can get from this game. But on the other hand, there is the rest of the community, or even still some of the toxic ones, who would hop on to fun games, if it's obvious that this killer wants to have a "everyone to have fun" round.

So don't kill them and try to get some into snowmans to have some fun. If they don't trust this, okay, let them play and don't try hard just because you couldn't get them onto your fun train.

And don't bring tryhard builds to a game, where you intend to "troll" and have fun with srvivors.

you now the fact that i said 3 gens and won, explains it self and yes eruption did help in 3 gen scenario but was useless before it

and they got their asses handle to them AGAIN because 3 gens, you are the typical answer for this sub

you won yet you are complain type of answer

i did not kill the survivors before them and before before them , and i got insulted for it so what's the point exactly?

i tried tbh, i really tried but, i tend to let survivors go sometimes when i dc happens at the start and don't care but when i get insulted so many times in a row for simply trying to have fun, something clicks into your brain that tells you, maybe they don't care

glad you understand and the screenshot was just to show that legit no one is trying to have fun, and i someone who tried to have fun got pulled into limbo of tryharding

...you just had to read just a tiny bit more and you would understand exactly what u said in the last line

Try playing in response to how the survivors play and adjust your sweatiness in response to them imo

that build is in response to exactly to idk how many games of trying to have fun

ah yes 2 brown medkits and you decided to ignore the the perks.....typical and no one was bled out one of them was a headpop and others were moris but you know you didn't see the mori either i guess

it was nice talking with you, but clearly you played one side too much to understand that both sides are players and the fact that perks do exist and are far better than items, but you know maybe next time survivors should run brand new parts as well so they can have fun in the middle of an event right?

  • AcelynnBen

hey im just following what survivors are running, they bring tryhardy perks i do too, but again aren't they going into the game with most unfun perks as well?

and im complaining because with or without that build, survivors run the same build over and over, i don't know how long it has been since i saw a different build that those, i even tried to spice it up a bit with devour without undying just to mess around and you do realize im playing pig, not nurse or wesker or anything broken, and for some reason according to all the comment so far im not allowed to complain

There's no use criticising the perks and then saying "judge them on a game by game basis".

You bring the best perks, and if you don't need them, great. You can't adapt to what the survivors do if you start off handicapped.

I dunno, I guess 'unfun' is a pretty subjective term but as someone who plays both sides I find Eruption and Franklin's to be far more annoying than anything survivors bring.

The most annoying perk I see in your example is Dead Hard and while I do think it can be annoying it is fairly easy to play around.... unlike Eruption/sweaty slowdown builds. They are not particularly sweaty builds other than the DH and maybe Prove but as killer I think you want survivors to group up on gens rather than split pressure all over the map.

If you are wanting fun chilled survivors, you are sending the wrong message is about all I can say here.

and u wanna know the best part of running those 2 addons

i got a headpop because i knew they were gonna gen rush

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

they were actually grouping up on gens, the first time i caught them all 4 were on one (but for a killer such as a pig i think you would prefer the opposite)

but i do find franklin's annoying as well tho eruption, never exactly knew the fuss about it, sure its hard in 3 gens but without 3 gens uh its pretty decent

and i kinda gave up tbh, i do get some fun killers here and there but survivors, screw it, i will just tryhard my way through this event and go back to trying builds with bots

It's a vicious cycle. Survivors are sweaty because killers are sweaty because survivors are sweaty because killers are sweaty, and on and on it goes.

Right now, if I want to meme around in snowmen, I know that I need to take control of the game first. Because the other side are going to be playing to win too.

Franklins? Unless you're rolling 4 stacked medkits, it's a wasted slot.

Eruption is strong, but like most things in this game the counter is coordination. DbD is not and cannot be balanced around solos.

Prove, and some of the new perks are plenty strong.

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

ah yes, a mori a sign of tryharding

who even runs a mori anymore lol

and eruption was useless until they 3 gend

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

    yes that's the thing

you might find a killer or survivor trying to have fun matched against a sweaty player, but you gotta thank BHVR for pushing every single person who wanted to have fun with MMR and boons

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

since when was a mori the sign of tryharding?

doesn't a mori mean you're just gonna get tunneled, which in fact i didn't?

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

so your whole counter argument is a a mori....

not the fact im playing pig or the fact that was on badham or the 3 dead hards, just mori.

  • hex_uwu
    hex_uwu Member Posts: 201

I explained to you why the survivors might be cautious that your intentions were ‘fun’. You then say nobody brings moris under a post in which you literally brought a mori.

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

im seriously not understanding the fuss

instead of hooking the survivor a third time i kill them, and that's a sign of tryharding like what

Okay…I’m going to start off by saying, I’m a killer main, so you don’t feel attacked….

But I’m just curious as to your idea of fun and what your expectations were going into this match?

You brought a mori, which immediately shows them you did not come to play….and maybe we face different types of survivors, but nothing about their builds screams bully squad or super gen rushers etc they only came w two brown med kits and seem not entirely babies, but not super top notch skilled survivors either….

I too want to play and have fun during this event, but at any time I wanna “play and have fun,” I bring everyone to Ormond w no perks except lightborn (I hate being flashlighted,) and padded traps (they don’t injure) that’s it. I also find a smarter one and show them, hey I wanna play w you guys…and then it’s a fun time for everyone and I leave w a load of blood points acquired from laughing and playing.

I think you should definitely start off with not bringing a mori…again, curious what your idea of fun is and what your expectations were going into this match w that build and having it somehow equal fun…

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

ah yes one person brought a mori it means everyone brings, how long has it been since you played against a mori?

and you know there are other offerings that are secret right ?

so unless the killer kills the survivor, survivors wouldn't even know what offering is it

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

again im not understanding the fuss about the mori and 2 they did gen rush it and never said they were a bully squad they were actually trying to have fun when they realized they 3 gened it...lol

and i did try to run other fun builds or just mess around, yeah didn't work, i played with a joke build or tried, didn't exactly work since every game the survivors just ran across the map even tho im clearly on pig and haven't kicked or pressured them in any way possible, this game was right after i got bored and just went ham

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

yea i don't get it, someone bring a mori oh no they brought a mori

now instead of hooking me a third time they gonna get a cool small animation oh no so scary

sure i would understand if the mori would be a sign of tunneling but let's be honest the last i saw a mori as a survivor was i think 4 months ago.....and they didn't even use it

and since im not understanding your point of view please do explain.

  • MeanieDeeny
    MeanieDeeny Member Posts: 533

The mori sends the message you are not there to play with them. I don’t understand how you wouldn’t understand that actually…

Sometimes the survivors have a hard time realizing you’re trying to play…depending on how you’re playing, they may not have caught on. If you’re really just trying to have fun, I would adjust your build, play style and lose the mori.

  • hex_uwu
    hex_uwu Member Posts: 201

Nice strawman. Doesn’t change the fact that I explained to you why the survivors might be cautious. But if you’d honestly rather pretend you’re the only person on this entire game to ever use a mori than even attempt to understand why the other side played the way they did, you’re going to continue to have the same miserable experience with this game.

I’ll be over here bringing bps and cakes and having fun regardless of whether I 4k or not.

k but aren't there other secret offerings ?

and survivors wouldn't even know you brought it unless you used it, and take this from the point view of a survivor

a pig crouching just spamming her "voicelines" not kicking gens or coming after you, what do you take that as

tryharding and trying to kill you, or the fact they are just messing around.

even if that pig by that point bring a mori, do you really think they will use it?

  • AcelynnBen
    AcelynnBen Member Posts: 1,012

there are much more better choices than moris, that's why anyone barely uses it, and my point still stands just because you see a secret offering doesn't mean is a mori, and every game mori or not, its the same so im not sure why u are still sticking to "you brought a mori so they must be cautious" you gonna bring a damn, i dunno, no offering at all and they will still play the same way

  • hex_uwu
    hex_uwu Member Posts: 201

Are you genuinely going to say there are better options than moris and then turn around and say it could be the offering that spawns the survivors separated? The absolute joke of an offering nobody genuinely uses because it makes it impossible for killers to pressure all 4 survivors and makes gens pop quicker? But as a killer main you should know that since the point of your post was to cry about gen speeds.

Multiple people have now explained to you what bringing a mori implies to the survivors and at this point it’s obvious you didn’t make this post to do any actual self-reflection. I’ve been bringing bps and cakes (as I mentioned) and I have been having fun with survivors and been getting plenty of bloodpoints. Best of luck, hope you actually have fun playing this game one day!
