This event brings out the worst from people
What the hell happened? Since the event started, either killer or survivor, they act like the biggest douchebags. It's far worse than before the Winter event.

Welcome to Dbd events

First time?

No, in Bone Chill 2021, the matches I played in that time were super chill and now in Bone Chill 2022 event it's absolutely horrible.

This is why I hate playing in events sometimes.

I played killer the whole day. I literally ONLY encountered 3-4man swf with toolboxes and map offerings - no wonder killers tryhard if their experience is the same as mine.

Welcome to dbd events where the killers and survivors act like someone's holding their mother hostage. It's one of the only reasons I dread the events. I've only played 3 matches so far but my first one was a tunneling at 5 gens Wraith, the other was a Trapper (though tbf, he just played well so we'll exclude him) and just ended was a Hag with the silent traps and hitting people on hook on top of doing what Hag does best: camp. Coincidentally both Hag and Wraith brought BP offerings. -.-

My matches have been pretty chill. I'm having fun.

It's not just the survivors, let's not fool ourselves here. It's a cycle. Some innocent person decides to play solo for a bit because hey, it's the event and killers play like what's complained about and in turn, that survivor says to hell with this and gets in a 2+ man stack on comms. Vice versa, some chill killer just wants to play killer for the event, experience the snowmen a little and the 2+ man stack into what killers complain about.
People with a swf are lucky to play they way they can in a 2+ man stack and possibly win, killers can do what they want in the game to possibly win (camping, tunneling, slugging, etc) meanwhile solo queue players are at the bottom of the totem pole for misery. I don't find none of how the killers are playing enjoyable as a solo player but there's nothing I can do besides go next.
I just don't know which side starts it the second the event opens.

Am I the only person who ran into people playing around with the snowmen? Also doing the game, but snowmen.
4 -
All my games were miserable. No killer interacted with the snowmen, they were just in the mindset they need their 4k no matter the cost. My teammates just did gens like any other day. I'm a bit salty about others having a better time with players playing around with the snowmen but eh, it is what it is.

Frankly, I'm just having fun doing tier 1 myers that only attacks while in snowman form.

The only killer I came across in a snowman was a T1 Myers on Midwich. It was fun. I danced with him in a snowman at the gate until the entity Frosty'd me lol

Are you guys serious?
You get sweaty players all year round. This is nothing new. At least during events 50% of the time you get people dicking about with the event mechs. Which means there's statically less people playing sweaty.
In my 10 or so games yesterday, about 50% of my survivor games had a sweaty killer, so we just played normally and ignored the snowmen. The other 50% had 5 snowmen dancing around periodically and the killer letting people go.
Guess what I did when I played killer? Dicked about in snowmen half the time. A couple of games had survivors who weren't amused, refused to get in snowmen or come anywhere near me, but a couple games we had snowmen balls, and everyone walked away with around 45-50k base BP.
Snowmen give you BP guys.

This is pretty standard fo DBD events

Simple calculation actually.
You take 1 Douche player on either side + The knowledge that events often bring back people who take time off and are rusty -> More chances of being able to live out their douche-ness without punishment.

Nah. I only played a few matches but so far, nothing crazy bad.
My first game was actually against a Nurse on Badham IV, I was doing the gen in the 2 story house ...He went far enough away so heartbeat dropped & a few seconds later, a Snowman showed up and just stared at me blocking the doorway. We both just stood there (I was genuinely spooked for a second there, since there was no heartbeat, thought it was a teammate trolling) and then Bam! Out pops the Nurse and slashes me.
Game continued on, Nurse tried using the snowman a few times (funny seeing a snowman patrol gens or try to deceive survivors), and we played the match out. Despite it being a Nurse and the player's name being sweatynurse, it was a good match.
Again, only played a few matches. So far so good.

Why can’t killers high five survivors in snowmen?
0 -
Killers can high five survivors in snowmen. I did it when I played killer. Unfortunately with killer POV you miss out on the animation but you can hear the sound and get the scoring event.
