Candyman ?
I've talked about various killers being added to the game.I seem to always forget about one of the greatest horror characters, Candyman. He's definitely a great character for this game.He has so much in his kit, wasn't there some hype around this character a while back.I recently changed my YouTube pfp because I'm tired of forgetting about this character, while I'm not hyped or expecting him to even come to dead by daylight but I'm just saying he should.

I don't understand he's a really awesome guy the actor and the character,did something happen with the license or the actor involved? I've found nothing but good reception and videos with people wanting the Candyman ?
Like I said there's a lot that could be done he has numbers abilities
He could shoot bee's at survivors,I'm sure they'll make him teleport .I don't really know what else I could add , I'm more interested in seeing othes idea's. I could only fine tune somethings if I see the idea

It would be great but it does take two to tango. I can't imagine it's BHVR saying No to him given that he's gotta be one of the more popular horror antagonists not already in the game.

It would be a fun chapter, but…what would his powers be? Teleporting killers are getting kind of old (IMO), but I think it would be really fun and scary to see how it could all play out.

Did we ever figure out for which video games Tony Todd did voice recordings back some time ago? He tweeted about it I think and it was supposed to be for 2 games?

I doubt he would sell enough. I have never even heard about him before. Can he match the purchase power of Wesker ?
Dbd needs some high caliber killers after the knight update. Ever since he came out , I have seen him only once in the trials.
Right now , it better be Jason/Xenomorph/Predator/Pennywise/Dimitrescu/Terminators etc.. all of them will sell well.
Two low performing updates in a row would be risky for dbd.

If you are a fan of horror, I'd strongly recommend you watch the original Candyman and maybe the 2021 remake/remaster/sequel (wasn't as good as the original but it's still a solid movie).
While not nearly as popular as the big dogs, I'd dare say the original Candyman movie is one of the best horror movies period.

Well that's one of the great things about dead by daylight it has a way of boosting the fan base or reviving things.Im sure after the new Candyman was released or started to appear in trailers more people got interested So yes I'm sure he'll even out sell Wesker most people came to this game in the beginning because of the patheon of slashers

Honestly I don't know I know how I would want him to work,but most likely he would shoot bee's ? Maybe that's the problem maybe they haven't figured out a way to make work?

That's the great thing about dead by daylight,it has a way of revitalizing forgotten franchise (Silent Hill) and keeping them relevant ( Halloween) with the new Candyman movie and all the hype that surrounded it,I do believe it will even out sell Wesker because most people came to this game for the horror movie legends

You’re probably right, if they use that theme song…that’d be fire. I think bees is a good idea, I just think the teleporting is overdone. I know he appears in mirrors n stuff, it’d be really fascinating to see what they could come up with.
I’d love a child’s play chapter!!! As long as chucky isn’t played like the twins 😅

Yeah his theme song I totally forgot they could incorporate rate that ,that would be fiya.I do want him to be strong , survivors don't fear any killers. He's definitely a legend even ranking 8 in top slashers

Pinhead did well enough, and I'd say Candyman is probably a tad more well-known than him.

For his power, I kinda feel like Artist was a dry-run for Candyman, in a similar way that Billy was Bubba and Spirit was Sadako.
Literally an artist, unjustly lynched and killed, arm/s chopped off and replaced with own-made weapon/s to exact revenge from beyond the grave, signature creature (bees/ravens), signature substance (honey/ink).
So I'd expect bees could be summoned on survivors one way or another to disrupt them and detect them, and prime them for an M2 attack injury. Maybe not by shooting them across the map like missiles, but perhaps like 'traps' or around gens or something. It wouldn't be a main power like Artist, but a secondary one, like Sadako's condemned. And he would probably have some form of teleporting.

Okay how about something like Ghostface because he stalks Helen Lyle through the movie,so I say make a normal 115 killer but he remains undetectable only if he's in chases do you hear his terror radius.So have him bee able to mark survivors for like swarm to attack once survivors or fully marked, he's able to unleash a swarm of bees if survivors don't remove the bee's then they become exposed but over a period of time like virulent vurilent? Vurilent Bound but after a certain amount of such a that.If you become marked bee's will chase you up until 24 meters but they automatically home on you once released.Like you want become injured or have to mend it will be either escape candyman chases or escape bee chases but maybe he should move around trickers base speed he doesn't seem like a speedy guy anyway.I think he should be undetectable because he just appears out of nowhere, people seem to never just see him off the bat
and he should be able to mori survivors like with the special condition like Sadako or Pyramid Head, because he just shows up and yeets people

What if it’s the other way around and they actually planned Candyman with Artists power - but then licensing issues got in the way and they needed to rework the features into a new original killer. And that’s why the lore bits are also reflective on Candyman…
