Why are you trying to make this game competitive? Stop it.
It's supposed to be an asymmetrical, casual game. Why are you trying so hard to turn this game into a competitive game? Stop this nonsense.

Who are you talking to?

Devs and also players who try to balance this game into a competitive scene.

I've never understood this argument. Even if it is a "casual party game" (which I don't recall BHVR ever saying but we'll go with it), why would you expect them to not do their best to balance it? There are still two sides playing and having broken junk for one side might make them have a good time but the other side won't enjoy it.
Note: You don't actually specify what your complaint is so I'm assuming it's balance...

Surely the game needs to be balanced in order to serve as a casual game too?
How is it casual if one side always wins?
If this was truly balanced for a competitive scene, we would see:
- A ban system, so you can choose which killers you don't go against.
- Add-on and offerings bans, these can make games very unbalanced.
- Perk exclusions, things like NOED and Lethal Pursuer definitely wouldn't be allowed in a competitive mode.
- Dailies and archive challenges wouldn't apply, you can't play competitively if your team mates are killing themselves to complete their challenges.

You can't balance asymmetrical games. One side is always going to be stronger than the other; and that's survivors.

Lol, alright, I can already see how productive this conversation is going to be so I guess enjoy

Please, explain in details, how can they balanced a asymmetrical game compared to a symmetrical game?
I'll wait for your answer.

Please, explain to me, how can you balance a game that is asymmetrical?
I understand that symmetrical games can be balanced for both sides but you can't fold a paper that has different figures? They have a completely different shape!

Making an asymmetrical game perfectly balanced I agree is an impossible challenge.
BUT that doesn't mean they shouldn't try and at the very least, adjust items that are pretty broken. Things like old Mettle of Man, old Ruin/Undying, flashlight locker saves, old Dead Hard, current Eruption, etc. It's on BHVR to do their best to decide and fix what's frustratingly broken as one side might LOVE it but it's nothing but anger and frustration for the other side.

Yes, but they keep on trying for what reason? They even added SBMM hidden from public eye and they are trying to set up professional tournaments. There are even top players that play competitively and survivors always claim the prize because killers are too weak in competitive matches.
Something is always going to be broken. When they nerf them, they are going to use the next items, perks or whatever to accomplish the needs to win in a competitive game.
The maps are by far the biggest issue in my opinion. I don't know why they can't design a good map probably because they lack knowledge or something.

It's harder to balance, but no means impossible. First you aren't looking to make every game balanced, but balance over many games. If one side is winning considerably more games and/or a perk clearly seems to be dominating one side, you adjust it. You have to continue to make adjustments over time as people change playstyles, but that is true for symmetrical games as well.
There are some other things I could see changing to make the game more casual, but balance is pretty much always going to be a component.

What changes to the game do you perceive as competitive?

I've never understood why people think the devs are trying to make this game "competitive", at least insofar as the way that word's being used here.
Outside of hosting official tournaments, the actual changes to the game seem more geared towards preserving its more laid-back approach. Hell, they even took away the ranked ladder and replaced it with normal matchmaking and a simple bloodpoint reward, that definitely doesn't scream 'competitive' to me.
The game still needs to be balanced, even if it's casual. Obnoxious overpowered stuff still needs to be brought in line, and while you're at it you might as well encourage variety by buffing weak stuff.

This is untrue, many killer winning matches have been the reason some teams win in tournaments, I think you are just talking eithout any fundamentals or even watching any tournament.

False dichotomy detected. Deploying logic.
There is a massive area between 'let's just not bother balancing and fixing stuff at all' and 'rigid Esports balance'.
While it'll never be perfectly balanced, there's no reason not to at least try. Because the more balanced the game is, the more varied it can be.

Take away the things that make players feel helpless... like gen popping perks.... being able to "grab" instead of lunge attacked... things like that.

This is a PvP game which by definition is competitive, one side faces another and try to defeat the other side. Whether it lends itself to an esport or not doesn't change that fact. Those that claim because it is a casual game it suddenly isn't competitive don't understand the concept of a PvP game.
Asymmetrical games are never 100% balanced, yet it does not mean that the aim should not be to create a fair balance in which both sides have a chance to win based on their agency.
