Mmr decay a thing?
I remember (I believe the dev stream about the meta shake up) they talked about an mmr decay.
Has this been implemented?
Ive played MAYBE 4 hours in the last 4 months, this month my first game was against SpooknJukes. Now I've got a pretty chunk of hours in my back pocket, but compared to a streamer whose job is playing dead by daylight, I was extremely unprepared lol (I'm also a filthy casual)

As I understood it, there's no such thing as "MMR decay", but your MMR will adjust faster after a longer break. So you should still be at your old MMR, but if you're losing games because you're rusty, your MMR goes down faster (or if you win a lot of games I guess it would go up faster).
This was supposed to go online with the last chapter, but who knows, I didn't read anything in the patch notes about it ...

I think it is supposed to be online now. It was kinda part of the latest chapter update iirc.
though to be frank, I feel like matchmaking doesn’t really use the MMR correctly and is still prioritizing shorter queues over anything. I am also a pretty bad player and get matched against people that definitely are not (eg got matched yesterday against a blight streamer who had a streak of 30 games with 4Ks/3Ks+hatch - same problems as killer from my side)
i mean.. rank based matchmaking didn’t work as well and was pretty much random and felt worse but this system doesn’t seem to be doing anything differently…

Thank you so much. I didn't consider the queue, or the awful mmr... I guess I just have to hope that it'll all get sorted cuz it's hard to come back
