In an ideal world where everything else is balanced.. Nurse.
What do you do about her?
If everyone was at about Blight levels of power, then Nurse would still stand out. She fundamentally plays a different game than everyone else.
How would you change her? How could you change her? If you had to power her down to Blight's level, how could you reasonably do it while preserving her identity? Or is her identity worth preserving, and if not, what would you change her into?

Well as a former Nurse main who still pulls her out every so often if I need to complete a silly challenge and I need to ensure a win with ease...
I think that making all her post blink attacks special attacks is a given. Perks like Starstruck should not work on her - period. A teleporting killer should not have the ability to insta-down as it is just too strong. Devour being an exception as it is obviously a very RNG based Hex perk.
Spookyloops did a suggestion vid in the last day or so where he proposed making it so only her first blink can teleport through objects and this would go some way to reducing her strength, thoughI don't think it will do that much as her first blink is usually used to line up the second more accurate blink for the hit/down and I rarely blink through objects on my second blink.
I often send myself to Lery's with the Matchbox addon so I have only 1 blink and I still win pretty much every match. I would not be against 1 blink being base kit if her base movement speed was increased to compensate. I also like using the Spasmodic Breath addon which of course makes it so you are a normal speed killer after a successful blink hit but you cannot blink for a minute and this sounds bad but I still win with this fairly easily.
Nurse definitely needs to be looked at and I was in denial about this for a long time as a Nurse main. But I want to be able to play her again without feeling bad and only wanting to run meme builds so I can sleep at night lol

Here we go again, she doesn't need a major power rework, she needs some changes and add-on nerfs imho
So as usual: her blink attack should become special. Exposed on her is extremely unfair and sucks, but there are tons of other M1 perks that she can live without (and I'd be ok to give up surge just to stop seeing knockout or sloppy on her). Her range add-ons need a complete rework. Her recharge add-ons need a nerf.
Some of her "fixes" need to be reverted: the pallet stun into fatigue comes to mind right now, so stunning her would actually mean something.
That's it. Her power is fun and a complete rework is probably out of question considering she's there since 2016. She just needs to become rewarding for being hard to play again. As of now, she's easy af and an easy 4k machine for anyone willing to put up with 2 losing games where they understand how to hold a blink.
I'd mention stacked slowdowns, but that's a problem for every killer, it's not directly related to her.
Kinda tired of seeing trash nurses with god complexes clearly just carried by their build. Would like to see them play without her strongest add-ons and busted builds, to see how good they actually are

Nurse is balanced enough at most skill levels. In low and mid mmr she's really fun to face (in my opinion).
So I don't think it would take a lot to make her more on par with the rest of the cast.
Maybe addon tweaks and making her blink attacks special attacks.
But as I see it, she's mostly fine currently. It's only at top mmr that she's a monster.

110% Killer, one Blink, longer Blink recharge, shorter maximum Blink distance (Nerf the blink distance addons especially). If the ability to phase through walls (Along with anything else a Survivor might normally use to avoid being hit) is core to her kit, fine. But no more double blinks, give Survivors a longer grace period before the next Blink, and its utility for map traversal should be roughly at Wesker's level.
I consider Wesker to be Nurse's concept done right. Fast and nimble, but still has to play by the game's rules in most respects.

Once all Killers are in that "Blight" range of power, she just doesnt stand out enough anymore to warrant changes. Nurse is only a problem because the low tiers are so much worse than top tiers.
We dont need to hammer down the nail sticking out when we pulled the rest up to its height. It's stupid this stupid metaphor doesnt click for Survivor Mainsᵀᵐ when its applied to killers.
"sloggingly braindead follow a survivor and then blink over the pallet they try to drop" . Your idea for a nurse change just describes the Huntress strategy many people loathe: "sloggingly braindead follow a survivor and then chug a hatchet in melee range".

Her counter play is w and LoS. That's just as boring as going against artist except her power can insta down with perks. Nurse also doesn't even like blight's feet in terms of skill cap so that's not an argument.

We have ton of nurse threads with survivors arguing with each other how nurse is broken and every part of her kit should be nerfed. You know it, because you post in every single one of them.
You are probably new here because we have already tons of rework nurse threads. It’s becoming boring at this point to see the same spam over and over on these forums.

She honestly needs a top down, complete rework. She just doesn't work in DbD, as she essentially unplays the game.
The problem is that her gross kill rates are extremely low, which makes the devs unwilling to change her.
I actually enjoy playing against Nurse on most maps, but I still don't think she's good for the game as is.

I feel like she'd be more balanced if she worked like Oni in that her power has to be earned in some way. Make her a normal movement speed killer and have her earn blinks through chase somehow. If her blinks are meant to be based around breathing, maybe orbs are dropped whenever survivors run for a certain amount of time? I don't know, but I feel like Nurse having all her blinks available right at the beginning and being able to immediately begin recharging them right after is what makes her so unbalanced in the grand scheme of things. Maybe up her blink limit to 5 or 6 to compensate (you start the match with 0 blinks).

There is no problem. We have stats. Even at high MMR, Nurse winrate is close to Wraith. Yes, I said Wraith so wake up, most players don't know how to play or counter her.

Not a big part. The same survivors spamming these forums over and over. Also, you considering something "unfun" doesn't mean it should be removed.
Are flashlights fun for the killer to not see anything ? No. Doesn't mean they should be removed.

I know that this idea has some issues specially regarding lerys, but I think for any other map this is a good way to handle it: nurse can go through walls, but once. She can go on the 1st or 2nd, but just one of the two. Windows do not count as a wall, but pallets do. That means if she goes through a wall to and you drop the pallet reversed, she can't follow up. This basically makes 50/50 at some pallets and introduces some counterplay in some strucktures.
Or giving her a 3 state like nemesis, so that chases get artificially bigger.

I don't think taking matchmaking as evidence is a good idea, because a lot of people do not know how to play versus nurse, but for sure if you get people that do, specially knowing that she cant go through objects in her second one will make things easier, maybe even abusable, idk.

Didn't BHVR say they don't intend Killers to be equal power level? So I don't see this ever happening.
But to answer your question, maybe delete her add-ons? Base-kit Nurse is one thing, but range + recharge add-ons are OP.

In my experience 99% of survivors really have very limited ability to counter Nurse, even those with thousands of hours in the game who I expect to give me a big challenge rarely do. Of course matchmaking is scuffed as we all know but I think a killer that is capable of stomping the most experienced pro SWF with relative ease is too much for public lobby DBD

Everyone talking about Sadako suggests she probably needs a buff, with her one extremely unfun playstyle needing to be altered.
And nurse needed to be looked at before Sadako was even a killer, so..

Likewise, there is a massive part of the community that finds Nurse to be exceedingly unfun to play against, myself included. People really aren't spamming the Nurse topic.

Low MMR Nurse can be outplayed rather easily. In an ideal world with ideal MMR, bad nurses would go against bad survivors. Good nurses would go against good survivors. And good survivors can still deal with a good nurse in such a way that at least 1-2 people can escape.
Nurse is strong. By far the strongest killer in the game by a long shot. But not impossible to deal with. It's problematic when a nurse main with 2k hours gets paired with guys who just installed the game.
It's grand how people complain about a killer that can actually win without having to sweat (after a considerable amount of time practicing her, mind you) while survivors can absolutely roflstomp just about every other killer in the game and type GGEZ in endgame chat.

There are definitely posters on these forums who are firmly on the side of survivors, and their bias very clearly blinds their judgement and reasoning. Same thing can be said for posters who blindly defend everything on the killer side, too, though, not caring whether or not it negatively affects game health/balance. I think it is quite clear which way you lean.

When you suggest something other than turning her M1 into an M2 (which there is no justification for), depriving her of her second blink (which there is no justification for), or preventing her from crossing several obstacles in a row (which there is no justification for and which goes against her very gamedesign), call me 😁
