Hurray!

Was about to create a thread as well.
yay, finally!
i guess Jeff has the being chased indicator for non-obsessions?
6 -
I am so glad you created the thread, and so fast as well!
We've been super excited to share this for quite some time.
11 -
I'm glad it's coming,! I'm really excited for this.
2 -
yes the little claws signify chase, so it's similar to the Obsession and the way the claws interact when the Obsession is being chased, they're just smaller.
7 -
Can't wait to see my fellow solo queue team members have no icon whatsoever for 90% of the trial
22 -
Oh, let's go! I've been waiting for more info on this idea for aaaages, I'm so glad it's in a tease-worthy state now.
It looks good, too!
1 -
Good to see it was never scrapped
1 -
me too, both Peanits and I have been dying to share this for quite some time!
7 -
LOVING to see this - it's sorely needed. Looks great so far - can't wait to try it out myself.
1 -
Great!
(gonna guess this is WiP and you canβt confirm butβ¦) sharing it now doesnβt mean it will be part of the next midchapter update, does it?
(Even Motte is curious and wants to knows)
14 -
At last.
We shall know what our teammates are (or most likely aren't) doing.
3 -
it might very well be, you'll have to wait and see!
4 -
I am absolutely thrilled to see this as a solo player. Very slightly concerned about salt thrown if someone's had a rough game, but frankly that happens anyway. As is, this is probably the biggest step the game's taken to bridge the gap between solo and SWF and I am all for it.
4 -
ABOUT TIME......ONLY TOOK 1 YEAR AND A HALF..
anyway the icons looks promising but they are a bit SMALLER... for my taste
if this doesnt get released on the next PTB am gonna be upset...honestly
2 -
Huzzah!
5 -
Simple and clean, nice. Are the little white things around Jeff a non-obsession chase indicator too?
Seriously, very very happy to see this ποΈ
3 -
Something for solo queue? Am I dreaming?!
7 -
Sadly this is my feeling as well.
Icons like those should have been done years ago and they will probably help. But it will not change the fact that some players just dont do anything.
I have seen games were two Survivors were on a Gen, the Obsession got chased (Claws moving AND just got injured) and still none of the two got me before I reached second Stage. Despite all Information available.
And I expect that I will see a lot of time that Survivors dont do anything or waste their time doing Chests or stuff like that.
So we will see how helpful it will be. But it is a step in the right direction, maybe it makes SoloQ bearable.
6 -
i mean the icons werent meant to make players who dont do anything the whole match do something so that has no relevance.
8 -
yeah it will obviously not make randoms that donβt do anything do something but you canβt force them anyways
at least it will give basic information without buffing SWF, also it might prevent some toxic after chat because sometimes you get accused of doing nothing while actually being on gens most of the time (at least I got that occasionally)
4 -
Finally something good for solo survivor. Can finally see what my teammates are (or most of the time aren't) doing.
1 -
Very hyped for this ! =)
1 -
yeah, but thats better for information , especially because now you know who is going for saves , who is doing nothing , who is smashing gens , who is constanly placing boons instead of being useful , for me thats feel like a nice QoL for solo Q players.
feels better to win or lose when knowing if your teammates were playing good or bad instead of blindly blaming other people for their actions because now we can be 100% sure of what teammates are doing instead of blaming others or yourself.
if you think about it , this technically gives survivor a weaker version of kindred at all times and thats HUUUGEEE for me.

its a good buff for sure without being too strong i think, its just a buff meant for those who actually play the game and not for the dwights who stare at the inside of a locker for 10 mins
0 -
I'm going to assume Blindness removes the ability to see your teammates Action Icons?
2 -
well, spamming boons was already very much noticeable and at this point we canβt really tell if this system has any indication for βgonna go unhookβ
but it sure is a step in the right direction!
0 -
This is already how games play out when I'm on the hook and running Kindred.
This just means Kindred will be less essential. Which is great, but it's not going to fix solo queue.
Also, sad to say I missed this as I'm not on Twitter. @Mandy is there any chance of getting the Twitter feed on the side of the forum again like we used to? That's how I used to get all my first-hand BHVR news!
1 -
probably not ... but either way a killer perk should not remove a important part of the HUD
blindness on indoor maps against solo Q players is just PAIN already for them.
1 -
we have it, it's on the main page
0 -
Also, sad to say I missed this as I'm not on Twitter.Β @MandyΒ is there any chance of getting the Twitter feed on the side of the forum again like we used to? That's how I used to get all my first-hand BHVR news!
it should be there?
Itβs at least there on mobile when showing the desktop version (it never has been on the mobile version iirc)
0 -
I mean, at least they were on gens. They could have been hiding in lockers.
0 -
Ah, thanks for pointing it out. I rarely go to the main page. Just General, Feedback and Recent Discussions, and it used to be on each individual forum page.
0 -
Great stuff, solo queue really could do with a little buff.
Hopefully we will see more deterrents for tunnelling off hook in the new year when everyone at BHVR is back from their holidays :)
0 -
This is awesome! It will help solo q a lot yay :D
0 -
BHVR really said "Happy Holidays, Solo Queue!"
4 -
A great change.
Will it be enough to claw back all the players who have already left the game?
0 -
Are stealth killers getting anything for the holidays as well?
1 -
Anyone else notice how the obsession marker is different on Adam and is slightly there on Jeff? Does this mean some sort of half-obsession mechanic is coming? Also also, the fact that the player seems to be playing with bots maybe indicates that killer bots are coming soon too. @Mandy I am on to something here with both of these ideas or am i misleading myself π
edit : actually after thinking a little more, i think it's more likely the little claws are the indicator for a survivor being chased.
0 -
Woohoo!
This will help the game so much
A giant leap in the right direction
0 -
the smaller obsession marker shows who is in chase - it's similar to the way the claws move around the obsession when they are being chased, just smaller version.
2 -
Itβs a chase indicator. No longer will only the obsession be the one indicated when in chase!
0 -
I realised this might be it after i posted, thanks for clearing it up π

Are killers going to get any additional game information as compensation? Or is this going to be exactly like SWF voice communication, where survivors get extra benefits, and killers get zero compensation and just have to deal with it?
Can killers see the action icons too, so they can know how many survivors are doing generators? Can killers at least get an FoV slider as compensation?
2 -
no the killer does not see the icons, they are for the other survivors to view.
Rest assured, we will be monitoring how this affects the game.
5 -
Finallyβ¦
1 -
I have a feeling this midchapter is gonna separate the people that legitimately wanted soloQ buffs and the people that are never going to be happy unless the survivors have a literal gun.
Gonna be spicy, can't wait for the full PTB notes.
1 -
The Feedback forum is ready and waiting for you to leave your Christmas wishes for the team! π
3 -
This is huge. To killer mains whom think this is unfair. If the game continued as such many experienced survivors would use discord to form a swf. All you'd be left with is swf and baby survivors whom would just hide.
1 -
Its not a matter of after the fact feedback, these changes kinda gut their powers conceptually. I was just hoping that was taken into account with these changes instead of just ignoring them.
2 -
Absolutely, Ryuhi! These changes are always made and monitored to see how they affect gameplay across the board. I really look forward to seeing your thoughts as we test this feature, as well.
