Band-aids
So...While in a different post I've come to realize something. The developers really only know how to band-aid current things. When was the last time something was truly fixed? Pallets? That was what...6 months ago? How long did it take for them to even CONSIDER removing pallets? Why does it seems like the devs are getting more and more incompetent at fixing their own game? Why do they refuse to listen to the the people that make sure their game is staying alive this long? I get that half our ideas are simply #########. I get it. However there have been numerous people who have not only came up with genuine solutions to problems ALL of us see, yet ignored all together by the devs. Why do we continue to mindlessly support them by buying these skins and dlcs that we know won't actually be putting money into fixing the game or even better it. It just seems it goes right back into the cosmetic department so they can push out even more skins for the mindless sheep to buy. I'm pretty positive that if there were another asymmetrical horror game that looked as good as this, it would be doing a lot better than DBD. Streamers are finding it harder and harder to play this game. Players on both the forums and reddit are tired of the shennanigans. I used to be able to play this game for about 3-4 hours straight on my days off. Now, I can barely handle more than 2-3 matches before I get tired of the bug fest and ######### "optimized" game play. I've tried taking a break and coming back. I've tried to play civ 6 and come back. I just want the band-aids ripped the ######### off and this game actually fixed. No more perks to counter perks. No more Killers to counter a specific game play. No more cosmetics. Actual fixes to the game. Will it happen? Probably not. Does this mean I won't ever play again? I'll still play my 2-3 matches then switch to something that has decent game play and re-play value. I don't want this game to die. It's been great to me for the year and half I've had it and enjoyed it. I just want the devs to seriously get their heads out their asses and do something for us. The people that love this game and want to enjoy it. The people who give them their paychecks.

Hello @Captain_Spaulding firstly thank you for your feedback. I'm going to try and break it down as best I can to answer your questions

When was the last time something was truly fixed? Pallets? That was what...6 months ago? How long did it take for them to even CONSIDER removing pallets? With the extensive time and effort it took with map design/layout, and with the multitude of maps, it was more figuring out how to remove pallets and still keep the game fair in the process. I believe that many things have been fixed and reworked in the last year, for example perks and offerings, an engine update, the emblem system, whilst also trying to add new content in the process. Is everything perfect? No. Can we change everything at once so that it is? No. It's not possible to balance everything instantly. 6 months may seem like a long time, but with the amount that the programming team are working on, I can assure you that they need every second to work on things.

If you believe the team are incompetent. I am also entitled to tell you that as someone who works for the team and has watched them progress and grow over the last 3 years, that I disagree with that entirely. The hard work and effort that is put in every day to making this game is awe inspiring. The amount they get done is incredible, whilst keeping a smile on their faces because they love this game and their jobs. They read forum posts, they listen to feedback, they interact with the community on discord, they work tirelessly with QA testers to figure out what works and what doesn't, whilst also trying to find various fixes to bugs in the process. If it were as simple as "this solution works and is viable" then they find the time to implement it.

I'm pretty positive that if there were another asymmetrical horror game that looked as good as this, it would be doing a lot better than DBD.Only about 20% of the cosmetics can be bought with auric cells, the rest can be grinded out in your own time to unlock those cosmetics. None of us are forcing anyone to buy any skins - the money goes towards keeping the business running, paying wages, and how expensive things like dedicated servers (coming in the summer) will be to run and maintain. I don't believe people are purchasing skins as "mindless sheep" as you have called them. The cosmetic team is different to the programming team, so we don't sacrifice time fixing bugs by making cosmetics.

The whole team is working hard on continuing to improve the game. I understand that some bugs currently are extremely frustrating (to us as well!) like infinite loading screens etc, and we would LOVE to fix them, and we are working diligently on all that we can.

I just want the devs to seriously get their heads out their asses and do something for us. The people that love this game and want to enjoy it. The people who give them their paychecks. The people that give us our paychecks are the people we're employed by. The rest of the money is pumped back into the company and making sure that the game is constantly improving, whether people can see that or whether it's behind the scenes. A lot of people expected Dead by Daylight to be "dead by late 2016", and here we are in 2019, with a growing player base and a growing team, trying our hardest to make a fun and enjoyable experience for as many people as we can. Hopefully you can understand the time I've taken out of my day to read and respond to this as best I can, and to let you know that we do care about what players have to say, we care about what the community inputs, and that we ultimately want to continue to build upon the game so that people can enjoy it for years to come. Have a great day

The people that love this game and want to enjoy it. The people who give them their paychecks.I agree with you, they are closing their eyes on the real ######### problem that is gen rush. They won't do longer gen times, since it wouldn't be balanced? balanced for who? good survivors who get out of the game in 5mins? Cuz that's fun for killer yea. I am just like you in dbd for 2-3 games and then log off since it's frustrating to get gen rushed every single game. I've been playing more survivor and i put No mither perk in my build and guess what, i escape majority of my games at ######### rank 1. how is that balanced that i with 1 single health state can run killer for 3-5 gens? will devs fix it? i have 0 confidence in them from legion release on. Legion is the perfect example of their "fun" view of the game, which is totally wrong and idk if devs and survivors realize because it doesn't seem that way, that if there is NO killers the games won't happen and dbd will die. how can survivors be the power role? if killer has an epic start, gets 5-6 hooks, how can survivors even return from that? that should be impossible ffs. they did bad buz because gen timer is riddicilus they can just gen rush you even tho they had horrible start to the game. #########!
