sooner or later they gotta reduce terror radius
to very low levels for all killers
make the game scary again.

Michael can go through backpack Neas pack before the TR kicks in. Its fine how it is. MA FTW.

The Pig, Myers, Freddy, Clown, Legion, Bubba could do with lower TR. I don't want to see a 26m terror radius nurse or billy.

Certain killers would get weaker than they already are with a smaller terror radius (doctor to name a sample). Also no killer is really scary for experienced players. When the game starts most survivors are literally just analyzing the killer and his loudout. Nobody is like "OMG IT'S NURSE I'M SO SCARED!!!11!!!" after thousands of hours in the game.6

The only time the game is "scary" more like has jumpscares is when a killer like Myers appears out of nowhere and almost or does grab you off the gen or something. Nothing about this game is scary but some low TR situations sure as hell make me jump.
2 -
thats why michael is by far the best killer to play against
the jump scares are exhilirating
i'd take a 16m TR on billy no problem lol.
how many games against michael i have died but had so much fun because of the jump scares, coupled with his unique chase music

16m on billy would be broken because of his chainsaw, same goes for nurse. Most other killers with 16m tr would work except for huntress ofc.
I think the no-mobility killers could really use a much lower TR to offset the fact that they can't cross the map in 5 seconds like billy or nurse.

There is some lower TR on slower killers, though I personally wouldn't mind seeing a lower tower radius even on some fast killers, specifically the default states on Pig and Wraith; given they are suppose to be -ambush- killers. Pig might be able to completely mask her terror radius already, but bump her down to the 24m when shes upright and I think shed excel with M&A and whispers (so you know when ya need to stealth in some situations), allowing her to have a bit better map pressure while still leaving her with proper ambush play.

Not all killers, but some smaller tr would definitely add some suspense to a killer's approach.0

28m base terror radius for the 32m ones? 40 for Doctor. I won't agree to any lower/higher.

That's good enough for him.

Eh I suppose, but really given how low teir wraith is already I honestly don't think it would hurt that much to toss him a few more scraps. Given his power any way it would be a minor advantage at best. Oh but on the pig ... well a man can dream... a man can dream.

Wraith is mid tier. He shuts down loops, decent map pressure, good for jumpscares, mind games, good tracking since he can hear more while cloaked and a good Wraith is unbelievably scary to face. I strongly disagree with you

Thats fine, though I don't see how he has good tracking in his base kit. Wraith has some good map pressure due to his speed boost the rest I don't see with out heavy reliance on addons which is another matter.

Would kinda kill the whole terror radius effect builds for doc and stuff though lol

His hearing is enhanced.

That would be a buff to everyone but Doctor, as a lower terror radius does not help his power.
Just use Monitor & Abuse, the FOV increase is very nice as well.

I don't really count spoops as scary.
Hag gives me spoops, but i'm not scared of her.
A GOOD Hag, now that's spoopy!0 -
I'd argue the red stain needs to get looked at first, on Low settings you can see which direction the killer is going trough the walls but Yeah I wouldn't mind terror radius decrease on some killers that rely on sneaking up on unsuspecting survivors.

I've actually got a perk idea I've been working on for both sides with the killers being pretty easy to use and it'd help slower killers become monsters. The survivor one is more detailed and induces them to take chances but with a heavy price if they fail which helps the killer.
I'll be posting is shortly.

The game will never be scary for veteran players.
I wish people would stop making suggestions based on trying to make the game "scary" it just wont happen.
Make suggestions and give good reasons for them.
Sure you might jump at myers pulling you off a gen but most people jump at unexpected things happening.
1 -
Why do you want to nerf unnerving presence, coulrophobia, overwhelming presence, etc?
1 -
You do realize this will be a pretty major nerf to Doctor and perks that affect the TR like Unnerving and Overwhelming Presence and Coulrophobia, right?

Some killers can be good for jumpscares pig sucks at it because she roars not even in her dash but Michael freaks me out. But mostly the game needs to be more tense for survivors but it's the other way around survivors are on the magic carpet to exit gate and the killers are struggling and this is an assymetrical game apparently lol.

What Simon said

Stealth killers (the Wraith, the Pig, etc.) probably do need a smaller TR, but not every M1 killer needs it.
3 -
They just nerfed pig and gave her a bigger tr.. so good luck with that. you need to remember this game is front loaded, they balance around some rando trying the game for the first time and not for the experienced players. this is why the stain is still a thing.

and if they remove tracks, they need to give survivors first person cam with a fov of 25-30 like the killer.

Remove terror radius for all killers0

Sounds like a large adjustment for survivors ,but fair is fair.snozer said:@HeroLives said:

Low mobility = Low terror radius
That's my opinion.1 -
Doc is the exception as his power depends on TR
0 -
Lower Terror Radii for Pig, Wraith, and Spirit sure. not sure about anyone else. if stealth isnt a core mechanic of the killer as a whole, the terror radius should remain large.
0 -
The only problem with this is it buffs SWF over solo players, SWF can communicate when they see a killer at all times.
The terror radius mechanic is fine, Myers for one has such loud breathing even in EW1 you know when he is near enough to almost hit you, he is designed in a way he needs to get close enough to stalk but not on top of you always as that is then a free hit, it is why when he is at his most dangerous his terror radious is much larger.
There is also monitor and abuse if you want to lower the terror radius for sneakier plays.

Good luck getting survivors to play. Repairing gens is already the worst part of the game, not it’ll be unbearable, so will opening gates

To be fair, Spirit, like Doc, also benefits from larger terror radius, outside of very specific builds.
In any case, its not happening. They are head on focused on keeping it consistent with movement speed, which isnt too bad either.

Wanting to change something for the sole reason of a scare factor is honestly a poor reason. No matter what you're going to get used to things and thus you will no longer be scared. So then we'd be in the same situation where we need another change to revive the scare factor.
It's pointless.
