To Reduce Rage Quitting by Survivors
Lots of survivors who do rage quitting to avoid being hooked or killed. Of course this is very detrimental to the killer. Because you can't get 4 kills or complete other challenges.
I have a suggestion to reduce rage quitting behavior by survivors. That is by giving 1 kill (sacrifice) progress to the killer if the survivor is disconnected. So that the killer does not get a loss from the behavior of rage quitting by survivors.
Apart from that, I would also suggest adding an animation of survivors being killed by entities when they disconnect. Like the animation of being killed by an entity when the Endgame Collapse timer ends.
By implementing a system like this, survivors will think twice before committing rage quitting. Because his actions are only self-defeating and will not harm the killer at all.

And how exactly this will prevent rage quitting? Survs do not quit to prevent killer from getting killed. they quit to get another, possibly easier, with less camping, with more winning chance, match. Giving killer the kill from ds is a good thing (I would love it) but this will not prevent rage quitting at all.

In my opinion, one of the reasons survivors do rage quitting in the late game is because they are annoyed that they will be killed. And want to take revenge on the killer, so that the killer does not get the progress of killing.
Of course if my advice is implemented, survivors will not do rage quitting in the late game. They will be willing to wait 10 seconds to go on the hook and get killed.
Maybe my suggestion only applies to survivors who do rage quitting avoiding hooks or being killed in the late game. Does not apply to survivors who do rage quitting in early game because they want to find an easier match.

Even though rage quitting can be quite terrible for either sides, as survivors are down a teammate and are at a significant disadvantage, and for killer, they lose a precious kill or opportunity to get a adept Achievement or even used a hook related perks to trigger like Blood Warden. Your proposal would help, but it seem more like a bandaid fix, then a solution that completely erase the urge to DC.
People can DC by any means, whatever it bad internet connection, they need to leave because of a cheater, if irl emergency came up, or even most likely being salty and just hate losing yet still rage quit because they can and do not want to give the satisfaction kill to the killer because of poor sportsmanship.
Even if we implement it, there will always be dissatisfaction among the Survivors playerbase whom rage quit for various reasons. And it seem like Bloodpoints lost, depip, and even getting a DC Penalties is not good enough.

Yes I know there are many reasons survivors do rage quitting. At least the suggestions I put forward can overcome quitting rage to avoid being hooked and killed (poor sportsmanship). Because the killer will still get the progress of killing even though the survivor does rage quitting.

Yes they do. Just this week while spectating, I saw the last survivor left alive disconnect the moment the killer closed the hatch. I've witnessed survivors disconnect the moment they're downed or when the killer picks them up. When I play killer, I get survivors who disconnect when I don't let them have the exit gate after I close the hatch. Sometimes survivors who I was going to carry to an exit gate during the EGC disconnect when I pick them up. And back when I had messages on, I got messages after survivors disconnected mid-match telling me "ha ha I denied you a BBQ stack" (I've had messages turned off for years, now).
It's pretty common for DbD players (on both sides) to be petty and salty and spiteful.

Just because someone dc when downed or after closing hatch, does not means they did this to prevent killer from getting kill, yes this may happen, tho its minority. They do this for various reasons, one of them is to being a douch, and this suggestion can, but not for 100% prevent such things, but they also dc because they feel frustration, wats to end match sooner, or just dont want play anymore, and those people will still dc.

Yes, I agree. Many survivors do rage quitting so that the killer doesn't get any killing progress. This often happens to me.
Minority? I think it's the majority. They do rage quitting in the late game because avoiding killers gets kill progress. I'm also not saying my advice will eliminate rage quitting behavior 100%. But it will reduce one of the reasons for rage quitting, which is avoiding being hooked or being killed so that the killer doesn't get the kill progress.
Rage quitting is of course very detrimental for teammates, if done in the early game. And also very detrimental to the killer, the killer will not get the progress of killing. My suggestion is that the killers still get the progress of killing, even though they are doing rage quitting.

I agree with the suggestion. Killer should get reward for their play, and not being punished because someone dc despite of reasons.
I do not agree with reasoning - killers should not get those kills becuase rage quits, they should get those kills because its fair.
I do not agree with estimation about consequences - i do not think it will reduce dc as much. yes some douches will stop dc, but not all, lot of them will still dc even knowing killer is getting those kills. As for dc for any kind i would suggest something different, like bots taking place of quitters.

I agree with you that there are larger issues. But I don't think that means we should discount short-term solutions for the pain at the moment.
As a survivor main, who is equally incredibly frustrated by DCs, I agree that the late-game DCs are meant as a punishment for the killer. Earlier DCs are generally for other reasons unrelated to trying to punish the killer.

Exactly, if the Survivors DC early; they punished their teammates with a EZ win for the killer. Even if they DC at the end game, it sort of sucks when you do not able to get the opportunity to see a mori, you Don't get any "Kill by any means" points for a specific challenge in your tomb which it is annoyed when even if you put the Survivors on death hook or start the mori animation when they DC. Also, if you have hook related perks or certain obsession perks that requires you to keep the obsession alive like Blood Warden and Save the best for last, you lose perk values it doesn't counts as hooks or doesn't give you anymore tokens until a new obsession is created somehow. (Its not like every killer brings furtive chase, Nemesis, or intentionally Survivors to hope that at least DS them to become the new obsession, in every match). Lastly, in SWF cases; if two Survivors are left in the trial and that one of them called on their teammates to DC so they can get a instant hatch; that would suck for the killer, especially when Survivors exploit the invisible hatch Glitch.

You have good advice too. Whether it's the killer getting the kill progress automatically or the bot replacing the survivor, I agree between the two if the survivor does rage quitting.
