Killer Challenge which seems impossible...
Hey all,
I'm looking for some assistance in completing a killer challenge I have. The challenge requires the use of Hex: Devour Hope, the hooking of 5 survivors, putting two survivors into a dying state while they are exposed and finally, killing a survivor with the killer's own hands. So basically, the challenge is to make complete and total use of Hex: Devour Hope.
The challenge I am running into is that the hex always seems to be cleansed way before I can make use of the hex. I have tried bringing Hex: Undying and Devour Hope, but it's the same result.
So please, lend me your tips, tricks and suggestions on how to complete this challenge.

You'll have to adapt.
I know that sometimes this challenge seems futile, but eventually the survivors will not be able to resist.
...Yeah, that's all the Borg jokes I've got.
In seriousness, Midwich, GoJ and Borgo have very tricky totem spots, so those might be worth an offering. Although then you'll have to play GoJ or Borgo - so I'd go for Midwich.
The hardest part is going to be getting through this without DCs or suicides.

Thanks for the suggestions of better maps to go to for the challenge. I imagine that my next problems will be with DCs, on top of having my hex cleansed :( Plus, you're right... Resistance is Futile.

Use undying and thrill of the hunt (i think, whichever one makes totems longer to cleanse). Throw some pentimento in there too juat to slow gens if they do get a totem. Finally, use Hag to trap the hell outta totems and defend them at all costs with her range addons. Go to Midwich with that build and it's practically guaranteed as long as they don't dc

Can't you just run a mori on like Ghostface? That would give you both exposed and a murder.

Techincally that should work, as long as the totem is still active. Idk if it'll count them unless the totem is at a certain number of hooks. Never tried. Could be worth a shot.

I'm pretty sure with the challenge you don't need to have the hex active just equipped - so as long as you use other perks (or killers) that would expose a survivor and use a mori offering it will count for the challenge. I could be wrong but that tends to be the case with other challenges for killer and survivor when they say to use a perk - there have been plenty of killer challenges that say "hit a survivor while they're exposed using x perk" and players used Myers tier 3 instead of whatever the perk required to make someone exposed, they just had the perk equipped.

Important thing to note about pretty much all challanges that require perks is that you don't need to use the perk, just have it equiped
You can play Ghostface and if you marked and downed 2 survivors, hooked 5 and killed somebody with a mori addon you'll get the challenge no matter if devour hope got cleansed first minute into the match

Devour, Thrill, Undying and either Face the Darkness or Thana.
The best map to hide your totems is probably Gideon, but that might be not worth it based on what killer you're playing.

Swamp has rarely let me down in terms of totem spots. Most of them are in map corners where survivors have no business being.

You don't need to use the perk in order to get the challenge done. Tombstone Piece Myers works wonders, as does any exposed killer with a mori.

Swamp always lets me down. There are 3/4 very well hidden totem spawns and my hex totems will always, without failure, spawn in the obvious 1/2 spots right in the middle of the map with 0 cover around them.

I did it with Myers.
So, even if they destroy your totem you can still have the exposed part.
Use a tombstone for the mori part.

Reminds of that one time when I decided to try Ruin/Undying on Sadako and first game is on Grim Pantry, both totems were at the the big rocks in front of shack. Good times.

You just need to have Devour Hope equipped, but you dont need the effects of Devour Hope. So just having Devour Hope and playing Myers with Fragrant Tuft of Hair and a Mori will do the trick.

Low MMR a bit, against any competent team is impossible cuz they know all totem spawns

Ok so first of all i did this challange 2 days ago... but while doing another one.
I was playing as Mayers on Dead Dawg Saloon with thia build: Devour Hope, Retribution, Undying and Thrill of the Hunt
Build was made only to hit 6 survivors while they are exposed but it did surprisingly well and gave me 3 kills from devour so... maybe try it. Just use other killer than Mayers because he kinda suc
