I feel like lethal pursuer can be both a waste of a perk slot and not.
What I mean is Lethal pursuer is good but the I feel like you get the most out of it with other aura reading perks because if you don't have another aura perk it basically makes Lethal a waste of a perk after the 7 seconds are up but putting it with other aura perks makes it better since it adds those extra two seconds which is a life saver.

This was my opinion of the perk as well, before 6.1. I don't like perks I can't get value of throughout the game, let alone after the 9 first seconds ! I thought my friend was stupid for using it often.
BUT.... Since it's joined my build on Nemesis....
I can say that you shouldn't get stuck on the "only 9 seconds?!" first feeling regarding the perk. Entering a first chase very early on is so good on some killers. It can really be worth your while to not have to guess where people spawned and if they're stealthing.
I hate to admit it, but it can be really good.

It's one of my favorite perks in the game. 9 seconds of immediate aura reading right at the start of the game is so nice on killers with high mobility and killers that need their first chase to happen immediately. On top of that it synergizes perfectly with BBQ (my all time favorite perk).

Knowing where at least one survivor spawned is pretty easy. But the value from knowing exactly where each survivor is, how they are split up and if they are splitting up to solo gens is really good. Really I only run it because I always run bbq and don't like searching for hiding survivors at the beginning.

Well yeah, you get the most out of it with other aura perks, but that initial knowledge is nothing to sneeze at. No time wasted, Pinhead might have an idea where to go for box, good idea of best place to pressure, etc.

I love LP and run it on most of my killers that aren't Hag.
Getting a very fast early chase, especially when you can see where the largest number spawned is just so good, and it's synergy with NTH, BBQ, FOR and IAA is the chef's kiss.

Its a perk I refuse to take off of Myers

I like Lethal now that it's been buffed. Before that I felt like it was kinda overrated and I didn't like having a perk that did nothing after the first 9 seconds.

It's one of the best info perks in the game, you have to run it with aura add-ons and a heavy aura reading perk build otherwise you're not using half of the perk. I'm all ears + nowhere to hide + lethal on nurse is pretty brutal

Way overrated perk in my opinion. The initial aura reading to me is barely above worthless. With enough game knowledge you already know survivor spawns so the information is basically redundant. The only use I see in it is the extended aura reading which is also only really worth the slot with multiple aura perks/addons. Also, Distortion is ran quite often these days countering all its use entirely.

But how else can I amuse myself by heading in the survivors' direction and pretending I don't know exactly where they're hiding only to spin around and say hi?

Yeah that is fun lol. I find lots of that fun with NWtH

yeah I think there's better perks if you're running it alone, but combined with other aura reading it's actually pretty great, running full aura reading builds is a lot of fun

I'm a fan of Lethal Persuer because I like that it gets me into a chase pretty much immediately so I'm able to pressure the map so quickly. Also if I'm playing Legion it can definitely help me get all survivors injured faster - although most spawn points I know, so I don't always get value out of it.

its a good perk, having immediate aura reading at the start lets you choose your first chase AND get into chase immediately
its also amazing on killers with high mobility/just in general need to get into chase ASAP (like plague, myers, legion)

Depends on the killer and the other perks you use if it is worth it.
I used to think it wasn't worth it at all but there is something to be said for having pretty much instant guaranteed pressure on survivors. I used to not think it had that much value as I can usually predict where they spawned based on my spawn but getting it wrong can cost you valuable time

It's the perk that works the best on the most powerful killers - Nurse and Blight, if you are good at these 2 the only thing you need to do is just go there start the first chase end it quickly (and you can do this with these 2) and you are already at a huge advantage in comparison to the survivors who literally spawned in and already had double range Sally on their ass
It's also good on Huntress for obvious reasons but I feel Huntress needs additional perks / add-ons (that most Huntress mains run like BBQ. bitter, I am all ears etc)

I like to run it in tandem with I'm All Ears a lot. It's a perk I run pretty often anyways, so why not make it slightly stronger AND start my chases right off the bat?

Or both. Both is good.
I could probably swap out Shadowborn and do Lethal/BBQ/NWtH/Discordance (or STBFL), I've been having fun with that. OTOH, I like the FOV.

Pretty nasty stacking all the aura readings on Plague with Black Incense too lol

Whoops, not Discordance, it's Dissolution I've been running. BBQ and Discordance would be a weirdly redundant combo.
With Plague, any aura read on top of black incense seems overkill. You already have that + Lethal, why get more?

For the meme's. I feel like if my intent was actually winning I wouldn't be messing with the whole aura thing in the first place.
