What do you want to see for DBD's 7th Anniversary?
What do you want to see come to DBD this year on its 7th Anniversary? :)
- Game Health Chapter?
- New Licensed Chapter?
- New OG Chapter?
- Changes to the overall mechanics of the game? (more objectives)

When is the 7th anniversary?
I’d like to see another chapter, as well as yes more objectives. Doing gens gets very boring

a change to the gamestate that makes "wait at pallet, drop it" (and its related cousin 'wait at pallet loop, run round it, drop it, DH if necessary') less risk-free?

A retirement letter. Seriously, Deathverse is even relaunching. Dead By Daylight should too.
I think the game needs major overalls that they either won't do or cannot do.

Anniversary can't be just a game health chapter, that should be one chapter before or after.
It either needs a really good OG chapter, which I'd say Dredge's was, so of that quality. Or a big name license. Like, Jason, Candyman, Alien or bust.
New objectives are always welcome. Well... as long as they're not broken *coughCoHcough*

2 weeks without MMR and a big survey for all players after that. :)

Just a repeat of the last anniversary stream really. Announcement of more chapters coming, roadmap of features we can expect for the 2nd half of 2023, and other cool surprises like the A.O.T collection.
I don't really know what i want to see in this game tbh, i just hope the devs can keep going for as long as they want to.

From BHVR? not too much, another boring tome for anniversary event ( BHVR for the love of GOD, stop making this tomes every single event, more creativity, every event = tome with 2 level. BORING. change that)
another chapter where the killer will has 2 good add and the rest of them will be meme and useless addons and more kick gen perks, for survivor, another survivor for drown in the forgettable ocean and 3 useless perk for him. More feng min skins, more bugs, more empty promises (like unlink set cosmetics, i still remember Q&A live strem in october 2021 where DEVS said " we will look into the unlink sets for you can unlink them, community want". OK fine, 2023 and nothing. not expect too much from BHVR, just the minimun. they are lazy.

Some additional mechanics would be awesome to see.
I would like to also see some other things that Im not really sure how to categorize. Things like viewable player stats, or unlockable cosmetics like Bubba's old survivor faces. I understand why the faces were removed, but unlockable cosmetics is such a cool idea I'd like to see more of.

Another progression overhaul (seriously, its been almost 7 years and theres still virtually no reward for playing the game?) p100 should give an actual reward as well as devotion.
a LOT of QOL improvements, i.e. an FOV slider for killer and bloodweb improvements (bloodwebs take way too long to go through)
map reworks and a statement saying theyre done making maps (might be controversial but we have enough already imo, and almost every new map is insanely unfun to play on. maps should only be tied to licenses at this point.)
general improvements to the gameplay loop (like inroducing soft and hard caps for gen progression and gen regression/slow)

Game health and overall mechanics changes would be nice
Also multi killer mode, that is something I'd love to be in the game, even if just restricted to customs

I'm hoping for NO chapter this anniversary.
I want them to slow down with the DLC's and take that moment to fix every single known bug.
Cut the dlcs every year to 2-1, possible license ideas are not infinite, and unlicensed chapters don't get as much love anyway.
I want the rework (and STOP ADDING MORE) of gen perks. What's the point of the increased gen time to 90s, if there's been gen speed perks added after that update. And maybe survivors wouldn't run them if killers didn't run gen slowdows. But killers run slowdowns, because without them games last 3 minutes. It's a never ending cycle of hatred from both sides to each other, but the truth is, none of them is at fault, both of them want to have fun, and it seems impossible without those.
I want new gamemodes.
Maybe hide and seek. No gens, perks can still be used (at least those relevant to the game mode). Survivors have to not be found for X amount of time to win.
Maybe 1v1 arena mode. MANY good players, on both sides, play to have the fun chases. This is kinda personal for me, because I'm a Bubba main. My games usually are filled with DCs, I have to play like 30 games to find that one golden nugget that likes to chase my killer. Aaaaand then it ends up on them dying on first hook, because their teammates aren't saving, cuz they are scared that I'm camping. So I can't get another fun chases.
I want an actual ranked mode. We don't know our mmr, but wouldn't it be finally a good time to let us see it? Keep the graded boring mode, but also add ranked mode for people who do like to try their best. Yes it would probably make queues a bit wonky, because of matching people ACTUALLY on their lvl (without autofilling the "whatever" mmr if someone leaves). Also punishing dodging lobbies in those may be good :v
Would anyone be really mad if instead of one DLC this year, got new fun gamemodes?

New game modes.
Additional objectives for survivors.
Official tournaments.
Coop mode for Twins players.
Bots that replace disconnecting players.
Option to choose the background/music in the lobby/main screen.

A steal from the killer mode that is unique for every killer.
1 -
Carl Fredrickson skin for Blight.

We need another S-tier killer.
2 -
Whos still waiting a pallets? Only time I could ever see some one doing that is if they have a challenge.
Looping on the other hand is the only thing that makes the killer and survivor have an interaction that both requires thought and reads. Take that away and the only way to express skill as a Survivor from the killers POV, is to hold W.

New game mode, addons changes for some killers and perk changes

Mainly:
Wide-sweeping console optimization
Solo Q Improvements
Would be nice but just a pipe dream for now:
Lobby ping Indicator brought back
Purchasable Mori Animations w/ option to Equip multiple Mori Animations
Trapper buffs
A new survivor item
DS stun revert to 5 seconds

Do you really think running round e.g. the cars in Garden of Joy requires thought? You'd literally have to not be looking.

balance changes
new goals for survivors
new mode ( seriously BHVR game is already 7 years old, last year several people with only a calculator and a bottle of beer were able to make a completely working 2vs 8 mode)

Any form of efficient looping requires thought

I think most players want a game health chapter but BHVR really doesn't want to 'waste' time when they could be making money off of a DLC instead.

"Run round obstacle, turn around if Killer does" is not an engaging, thought-provoking interaction.

All great answers! 7th Anniversary is in June I believe so it really isn't too far off. Here is to hoping that we see what the majority would find enticing as well as whatever can draw as many new people to the game as possible. :)

If its really that simple then you should be able to be the number 1 player in every 1v1 tourney right?
If you aren't already doing it, you're missing out on a golden opportunity

Not every loop in the game is those utterly depressing ones

Sex added to DBD.

Not sure.
Probably 60 FPS added to Xbox One, PS4 and low-end PC's.

A game health update...
1) Increasing Base Gen Regression
2) Doing something to Gen progression (if Number 1 can't be done)
3) Adjusting Maps... Spawns for pretty much everything
4) Another bout of Perk changes
5) and probably a Licensed Chapter (phrase I can't type)

What depressing ones? Because the only depressing loops I can think of are really strong windows at main buildings. Which as a killer you shouldn't even be chasing to begin with.
Being chased or chasing actually has a lot more behind it when you really think about it. To do it efficiently you don't think of the chase it self, but the game as a whole which is a 4v1. Those who simply think about the chase might waste time, but also 5 pallets while doing so. Meanwhile some one who's efficient could waste the same amount of time but maybe only using maybe 1 or 2.
Being efficient also applies to killers, but in a different way. Mindless following one Survivor until you down them will only get you some where against a bad team. The majority of the time I play with what I like to call "the 30 seconds rule". After initiating a chase, I go for 1 of 2 things, a health state or a pallet. Once I get one of those things I move on to the next person unless I see an opportunity for a down or to get rid of a really strong pallet. Since every game (that actually has good matchmaking) usually ends with either a few gens remaining, or none at all, I play for the endgame and thats exactly what this strategy does. Hitting a Survivor wastes time to move on to the next to break more and more pallets, until eventually at the end of the game there are either very little, or in some cases none.
1 -
The pallets that are completely boring and take 30s of just going around before there's range to swing because that's how the movement speed works?
I don't know how you're having trouble identifying this one part of the map design like it's super rare and complicated.

Closing the information gap between solo queue and SWF
Reworking and rebalancing most of the maps in this game
Making Bloodweb leveling instant
Making it impossible for survivors to hide and take the game hostage
Making hook suicide impossible
Kicking AFK players and giving them the DC penalty
Reworking several aspects of the game flow itself to actively reward playing without tunneling/camping to lessen their value as necessary strategies

A game health chapter for an anniversary event? Lol. It would be cool if they introduced event specific game modes though. Tired of event tomes.

Game health and QoL updates. Stuff like FOV slider, hook count for killers, removing unhook grabs, forcing survs out of gates if they're all there, or giving the killer an option to end the game after the gates are open, preventing 4 minute slugs. Stuff like that is long overdue.
And cakes.

Oh yeah, its called kicking the pallet and boom! You're done!
The Survivor equivalent is a dead zone, instead of running around it for 30 seconds, you go down in 30 seconds. And there ain't no spacebar that's fixing that
EDIT: Also for the number of pallets that are actually COMPLETELY safe. Really ain't as common as you think
