How to counter Power Struggle with Twins?

Hi,

yeserday I had a game that was extremely frustrating. I didn't play the best, I admit, and opponents I got matched with had prestige characters level 4-9, while my twins are lvl1, so there was obviously a skill gap between me and them.

However, I downed this one guy about 5 times but I never managed to hook him. He was always looping and when I finally manged to down him, he crawled under a pallet. When I tried to pick him up, pallet got dropped and he escaped. Only one time I managed to down him farther away from a pallet, but then (you guessed it), another survivor came for a flashlight save.

I was tired, I made a lot of mistakes, I commitied to that one guy when I should have focus others, I missed a lot of pounces with Victor etc. The constant T-bagging didn't make the experience any less unpleasant. However, I think Power Struggle would have messed me up the same even if I had played much better. So what is the way to counter this perk with Twins?

Something that people probably aren't going to like to hear but the counter to powerstruggle as twins is to not hook people.

I wouldn't advocate to letting everybody bleed out normally but there comes a point where you make it so hard to get a hook that you can't complain about it anymore

Prestige has nothing to do with skill.

Do what you should do with any other killer, leave him on the ground and chase the one with the flashlight or focus over others working on gens. If his tactics is to force you in a chase and then stun you, just ignore him or slug him until he bleed out.

If someone run a build like that, probably his role is to be chased but, on the other side, his build is not good enough for repair fast and you can ( and should ) put more pressure on his team mates who are probably run a gen build ( and maybe are less skilled to loop you )

Let's say they are still in 4. This guy is on the ground waiting to stun you with the pallet, another one is near with the flashlight and two are working on the gen. If you keep focusing on him, you are wasting time and make no pressure.

What you shall do ? Start the chase over the flashlight one for exampe, in this way you force one of the two working on the gen to come and rescue the slugged one at some point, meaning only one now is working on the generator and if you manage the catch the one with the flashlight try to hook him and force the other to risky save ( trade hook or tunnel out one of them asap )

Never, with any killer, never ever follow someone who provoke you or tbag you or flashlight click you or taunt you, is what they want. Aim for the weak or aim for those repairing gens

As Twins, I just leave them bleed on the ground. There is nothing you can if you down with Victor and they're under a pallet with Power Struggle. Just focus on the other survivors.

If you can't hook them, then you don't hook them. They'll die eventually.

Your blood points will suffer, but the alternative is a cycle of pick up and stun.

Some things in this game just back you up into a cornee and you gotta do what you have to. It happens for both sides.

I know prestige doesn't represent skill levels, but you prestige characters by spending bloodpoints and you get those by playing. So if a person has some character at level 9 or whatever, they have most likely played more hours than I have, and so they are likely to be more skilled and knowlegable.

And yes, I know the ropes. As I said, I was tired and I made mistakes, including focusing on this one T-bagger in particular even when I know that this sort of "tunnel vision" is a mistake. I was wondering if the perk can be countered in some way. E.g. if there is some trick with positioning that allows to pick up the survivor and be out of reach for the pallet stun or something. But it seems there is no such thing...

I'm not gonna wait several years until the Devs finally decide to deliver on that promise. I generally have a good experience playing the Twins, only this one was a really frustrating one.

Wait to deploy Victor until you're closer with Charlotte. They can't activate Power Struggle until the wiggle bar is above a certain threshold, usually gained from recovering via Flip Flop, and that's happening because Charlotte has to waddle halfway across the map to pick up someone up in a typical scenario. Counter it by hanging onto Victor a bit longer so they aren't slugged for a long time after they're downed.

As far as teams being aggressive around pallets in general, this is something the Twins are great at. You have to be patient. Think of your priorities less in terms of picking that survivor up and more in terms of causing a bunch of damage. You aren't getting that pick up against good survivors until you've chewed through enough health states to scare them off or win the game the outright. It's not going to happen any other way, and you're just going to frustrate yourself by rushing the pick-up.

Run Forced Penance on Twins. It's one of their best perks because it counters the main Twins counter (bodyblocking). Latch Victor onto a survivor lurking for a pallet save, hit another, and suddenly you have a lot of injured survivors who can't heal for the time being. That's a great position for the Twins to be in.

You be surprised how little that matters....I'm only around prestige 5 on my Claudette and was able to loop and handle a Killer that was prestige 8.

    Time ≠ Skill

Yes in some cases you might have that Survivor or Killer where the time they took to get to thier prestige level does equal thier skills, but from my experience that has never been the case because I got beat by a prestige 2 Killer before.
