Matchmaking system is to punishing for new players
First of all, i really do like the game for itself.
But the matchmaking is in my opinion way to punishing for new players.
At the moment i have around 200 hours, most of it as killer.
Since last month i started loose many game with just one player dead or none at all.
So i started to look at the survivor profile before the round. Most of the time, no wonders, they have far more hours than i have. Most hours i have seen were around 9000 hours in the game.
And ofc i loose hard against this type of survivor groups.
So i started to sort the survivor groups out.
In every round i look at everybodys profile.
If one of them is private, i leave before the round begins.
If one has over 1000 hours alrdy i leave, too.
It's no wonder that the killer queue gets almost all the time bonus xp, at least around the time where i come from work at the evening.
So please change the matchmaking system. Why not make an elo based matchmaking and one completly random like others games have too ?

So... What if the shoe is on the other foot....
And once you get 1000 hours in the game then switch over to Survivor and have the same thing happen to you
There's no way to gauge ones "skill" level based on hours played... cause the system one plays on doesn't separate Killer time and Survivor time... and also how much time they spend in the queue and other menus (cause that time does count to hours played)
I have 1900 hours most of it on Killer... so you wouldn't play the match if I was one of the Survivors

yes i wouldn't play against you.
I would rather not play and dodge 10 lobbys or dont play at all. DbD is luckily not the only and definetly not the best game out there :)
I'm playing videogames to have fun and not to sweat hard.
And just a question to think about, i don't see many survivors with less than 500 hours playtime.
I wonder why...
Probably because of the same reason like dota, LoL and other well known and old games don't get many new players...
