I’M GD SICK OF BEING LEFT ON THE GROUND
Implement basekit Unbreakable FFS. There are FAR too many killers that use this unsportsmanlike tactic. It’s just GD rude to leave someone on the ground where they can’t do jack.

At the risk of sounding callus, maybe run unbreakable or exponential? If nothing else the boons stack.
24 -
Legitimately this. If youre not using the tools the devs already give you to counter something that happens to you often, thats just on you.
21 -
You can crawl.
11 -
Situation 1) You are on death hook, and your team is uninjured or only has a single hook state. I'm trying to not tunnel you out of the game and to give your team a chance, but I need to buy time to get hooks on the rest of the squad and we just bumbled into each other yet again. Do I slug you or hook you?
Situation 2) I downed you with a normal chase and I know one of your teammates is waiting on the other side of that wall with a flashlight to get the the blind save. Am I just supposed to let them get it or do I do the smart thing and leave you on the ground until I have the area safe to actually pick you up?
I know this is mainly about slugging for the 4k, and we need a solution, but there are other situations where basekit unbreakable swing things in the other direction.

Yes, BM bleedouts suck.
I've also seen one happen absent provocation literally once in the past...maybe 400 games?
Baseline UB is a cute idea in principle but in practice - no. I literally just found a spot on Ormond where it's impossible to pick someone up from. Until all issues like that are fixed, Twins is reworked etc. then this can't happen.
11 -
I'm with you, OP, I've run into so many killers slugging out of spite that I don't bother playing outside of events or PTBs anymore. And it's a direct result of BHVR floating the basekit UB idea in the first place. Congrats to all of you who don't play Survivor enough to run into this on a constant basis, but for some of us this is pretty darn frequent occurence.
0 -
Have you?
Because, again, I watch a lot of streams and play a fair amount of survivor - and aside from tactical slugging (something totally different) I almost never see this unless the survivor is deliberately doing something obnoxious in the first place.
6 -
Lord. If you are actually leaving suggestions to use Unbreakable or Exponential… at least thanks for letting me know who to ignore. If those were sufficient they wouldn’t be making it basekit now would they?
0 -
I find it hard to believe you're frequently being slugged unless you're somehow bringing it upon yourself. I play survivor a lot and slugging is pretty damn rare outside of a survivor going down at a pallet when someone is nearby, or someone has Boil Over.
If those things aren't happening most killers just pick up straight away and hook. So I'm thinking you're exaggurating how often it's happening.
If it genuinely -is- happening to you a lot despite you playing normally, then... maybe bring Unbreakable, Boon: Expo or No Mither. These perks are specifically made to help against the issue you have.
7 -
Some survivors run intentionally into a dead zone without any hooks. If that happens in my games I happily let them bleed out. Besides that I am normally going for the hook.
And as far as I can see it in my games as survivor slugging does not happen often.
6 -
Ah yes, the treasured classic, "Killers never do anything wrong, and if they do it's because some survivor made them do it." Playing a handful of survivor matches and watching streamers in general is hardly enough to capture the general solo que experience, so I'm not sure why you feel comfortable even second-guessing here.
2 -
You are literally the same person that gives vague/debunked advice to Killers on how they should counter things though. God forbid somebody actually gives you a solution to your problem..
Time to ignore them all and act smarter than everybody! /S
9 -
If only there was some way for your teamates to pick you up...
7 -
Bad news - You can be slugged EVERY GAME and there are NO CONSEQUENCES.
Mwhahahahahahahahaha!
*lightning crash / pipe organ music*
5 -
You know that a 4K ends in 2 Pips, while a 3K ends in 1 Pip since todays Midchapter 6.5.0, dont you?
Its absolutely understandable that killers will slug to get the (save!) 4K and 2 Pips instead of risking 1 pip by hooking.
2 -
I'm sick of watching players bleed out due to map layouts that make trying to hook them a waste of time.
This is a serious issue, it ruins the game for all involved, so I suggest that the developers killswitch boilover, petrified oak, deaddog saloon, that ski lodge map, and anything else that I forgot that makes this very annoying approach to the game possible, also maybe the sabotage function, because it tends to support this approach to disrupting the match.
5 -
There's always No Mither. If the killer knows for sure you're getting up, they'll put you on a hook.
1 -
No deliberately being bled out is more common than you think and it’s mostly for the lamest reason.
1 -
Survivor runs to one of the many spots that still exist where you can't pick them up. So now I have to bleed them out.
What do you want me to do? Just...let them go?
Nice attempt at a strawman though.
Is it?
I've seen one game in my last 200 odd survivor games with a knockout bleeder, and 0 watching Ayrun, Spooky and Wholesome playing survivor.
The only times I see a killer doing this is because a survivor was really BM or exploiting.
7 -
Incorrect,
It only is tied to the thing at the end of "entity hungers/brutal killer/relentless killer/merciless killer" Pipping is still based on the emblems.
1 -
ah i see, then my conclusion is incorrect.
0 -
Did you quote the wrong person or do you not know what a strawman is?
Regardless, you have a second person saying the same thing and you're still dismissing it as if you have any actual understanding on the matter. You don't seem to realize that the majority of streamer games are nothing like your average solo que experience and the fact that you even have to rely on that kind of thing to establish an opinion the matter shows you have no idea what you're talking about.

Newsflash: there’s is only one solution. Basekit unbreakable.
0 -
Basekit no mither, take it or leave it.
8 -
use no mither
3 -
Slugging can be tough to deal with but everything can be countered..
Build: "I AM THE MEDKIT"
Perks: We're Gonna Live Forever, Botany Knowledge, Desperate Measures and Windows of Opportunity
Minimum 164% healing speed on downed survivors, 64% regular healing speed, 14% unhooking speed.. Windows of Opportubity to loop greedily.
Coming from an og Quentin main, "I used be a medkit goblin, now I am the medkit"
0 -
Solution for what? I don't actually see a problem here.
If you're forever being slugged until bleedout, I'm sure the common factor there is you.
11 -
Survivors get basekit unbreakable killers get basekit deadlock and merciless storm
3 -
Nah until they figure out how not to make it not a hot mess of trash as it was in the PTB then just use what's available now or hope you don't have idiot teammates that just leave you on the ground
4 -
Actually two - an option to hold a button down to speed up the bleed out timer...and it's not nearly as abusable as basekit unbreakable.
4 -
No, it's you.
Ah yes, the treasured classic, "Killers never do anything wrong, and if they do it's because some survivor made them do it."
Yup, that's a...honestly, we might be past strawman now.
Yeah, that's more like it.
Two people saying the same thing only means that the number of people wrong has increased by 1. You...do realize that it's possible for two people to be wrong, right?
Or quite possibly one person and their alts.
I'm saying:
- As a weakish survivor, I almost never see it.
- Watching a variety of different survivor streamers, I almost never see it.
So that's intermediate MMR and expert MMR, all not really that common.
Now, yes, I do see it on a very rare occasion. But not to the level where it justifies massive, sweeping changes to the game that would allow survivors to take a match hostage almost forever, on demand.
You don't think that, at the very least, unhookable spots or un-pick-up-able spots don't need to be fixed before giving everyone infinite UB?
the fact that you even have to rely on that kind of thing to establish an opinion the matter shows you have no idea what you're talking about.
The fact that I...use examples to back up my opinion is...proof that I'm wrong what?
Firstly, Kafkatrap.
Secondly, again - what?
8 -
YES!
Let people out of the match if they hate it.
Please, make these QoL improvements!
Or they could fix the underlying issues...
0 -
Do what I do, Alt+Tab, play some YouTube video, check Whatsapp, etc.
3 -
Its not an unsportsmanlike tactic. It's used for pressure when hooking becomes to time consuming.
4 -
It's also going to basically be required for adepts and massively encouraged for the new killer emblems, which...dammit what a silly idea that was.
4 -
That's... not a strawman. In the future, consider using Google before you start trying out words you don't know. Ironically, you're own completely non-sequitur argument about "survivors running into spots where you can't pick them up" is a fine example of a strawman.
0 -
Sigh.
Yeah, it is.
Strawman: Deliberately misrepresenting someone's argument. As you did with mine, by claiming that I literally said
"Killers never do anything wrong, and if they do it's because some survivor made them do it."
That's pretty clear and cut.
Ironically, you're own completely non-sequitur argument about "survivors running into spots where you can't pick them up" is a fine example of a strawman.
😂
Okay...so, speaking of looking things up on Google.
Maybe look up what non-sequitur means?
There are literally spots on Ormond, Asylum, DDS, Grim Pantry, Badham and probably some more I'm forgetting where you can either go down and the killer literally cannot get the prompt to pick you up, or you can basically wriggle free 100% of the time because of hook placement.
Some of these have been this way for years.
7 -
trade offer:
basekit unbreakable at 32 seconds
basekit corrupt at 45 seconds
0 -
Eh.
Something like basekit UB is a fine idea - but the game just isn't ready for it yet.
Once all the bugs and exploits are fixed, Twins and a few other killers are less slug heavy and BHVR take back their Merciless change, then...yeah, we can chat about it.
2 -
Correct me if I'm wrong but weren't you defending teabagging in other threads? That's the only time I see it intentionally done. The rest of the time it's done to create pressure, chase other nearby survivors, or to secure the 4K (personally I think it's lame to do that but it's not BM and it's up to BHVR to implement a bleed out button at two survivors left; not the player).
If it is being done as a response to teabagging it's 100% justified and, if the Killer is slug camping because of teabagging, I'll just do gens, leave and not even bother to try saving. People reap what they sow in that case.
2 -
I play mostly survivor and the times i run into what you describe is like 1 in 500 lmao
2 -
Basekit unbreakable isn't and shouldn't happen ever get over it already,, what should happen is give unbreakable basekit only to last one or two survivors to remove unnecessary slugs,,
2 -
Everyone has different experiences while playing. I often have killers that slug and leave me to bleed out while he swings his weapon over my body. I don't usually try to make killers mad. I guess they get mad when they chase me for a few gens... 🤷♂️
0 -
No, you don't.
Often = <50%. You're not getting left on the ground to bleed out maliciously in more than half your games, mate.
3 -
Yeah, I am. Don't tell me what happens in the games I PLAY.
1 -
Sometimes it's simply not possible to hook (you are under a pallet and survivors are nearby, sabo plays, no hooks available, people are bodyblocking, flashlight campers or the killer knows you have power struggle). In those cases it's perfectly justified to slug survivors on the ground. There is a huge difference between killers that slug because they are tryhards/toxic or when they simply know that there is no point in picking you up.
4 -
While I wouldn't say 4k slugging is common, when it happens it is so incredibly frustrating. Sure, I'll alt tab to something else, but just ridiculous that this is something that can happen in the game. If it's down to two survivors (maybe even three), downed survivor should have the same suicide option they get on the hook.
0 -
No, I can tell you that you are not being bled out in more than 50% of the games you play, unless you got stupidly unlucky and have only played literally 2 games.
Did not happen.
0 -
I said it happens pretty often. You can’t say otherwise because you are not in my games. Try again
edit- This will be my last reply to you because you have no idea what happens in my games. It’s pointless to argue. You have no idea what you are even talking about.
0 -
What does 'often' mean?
As opposed to 'seldom' or 'sometimes', it refers to a rare of frequency at around 50%, but generally greater than 50% of the time.
You absolutely are not getting bled out 'often'.
