Love getting hard tunneled out of the game with OTR
As the title says, added bonus for being a cliche and doing under an anon pc account vs a console player in soloq. OTR sure dissuades them from tunneling smh. Here's the counter to DS and OTR: Watch the survivor from a distance pretend your interested in someone else wait for them to do a conspicuous action, resume tunnel.

If you know he’s going to do that why even do the action? Look to get healed first
But yeah tunnelling killers suck especially when it’s at 5 gens

Why do people still believe that OTR is an anti-tunnel perk? It's a bully perk for well coordinated SWFs, nothing more nothing less.
Run DS and DH to waste as much time as possible. And if you have Reassurance, use it on a tunneled survivor and don't unhook them until the very last second for crying out loud!

By the time you pretended to go for someone else you would've already got the hit on the survivor if you tunneled right away. But now you're just giving them a chance to use DH.
So you're just wasting time.

Killer behavior is not gated behind the number of generators remaining.
This community mindset is getting old: "But at 5 gens?!"
You never see people say "Really? Doubling up on gens? At 0 hooks?"

That stuff works.

Never said you can’t and it’s perfectly understandable to do so if you want to win. All I said was that it sucks for the person getting tunnelled which is pretty unanimous
Anyway I’d rather survivors group up at 5 gens instead of being smart and splitting up early

Tunneled out of the game feelsbadman at 5 gens or 0.

Yeah but generally the longer the game is the more fun you’ll be able to have (More like a bell curve with insanely long games also being frustrating)
Being tunneled out in like 3-4 minutes can be more frustrating since you both get less points and have less gameplay

The counter is OTR is not hope the survivors slam gens when they get off hook and tunnel them. If you get off hook and want to push gens instead of doing a reset then you are free game for the killer. You should expect the killer to chase you if they come back since you are injured and were doing a conspicuous action. The last part sounds like the killer putting a trap up and a survivor falling victim to it. I personally would call that getting outplayed.

I've hard tunneled off hook like that only once since 6.1.0 at the very least. I was in a bad mood saw 4 med-kits, so I felt I could take alch ring. Then I saw the garden offering and the Felix got alch ringed out of the game, that's for sure.

Not to detract from the annoyance of the experience, but I don't think OTR is meant to dissuade tunnelling as much as it's meant to give you, the tunnelled survivor, more agency to do something about it. Take the hit, and either get to a loop or break line of sight so you can use the extra stealth, that's the idea.
Nothing's going to stop killers who are that hell-bent on tunnelling you, so you have my condolences- I can count on the fingers of one hand how many times I've seen a killer that goes that far out of their way to tunnel recently, so seriously, sounds like you're having a statistically improbable time of it over there. Hope you get some better luck in your matches soon.

Outplayed? yeah maybe by BHVR. What's the point of putting in band aid tunnel counter perks if the killer can just counter them. It's a loophole. Oh ######### they installed a security system, normal people we won't rob them anymore, dbd killers let's hack the security system.
