Killer Incentive At 100% For Last 3 Days!? Very Odd.

Anyone else seeing this?

Basically since Monday evening it's never budged from 100%. Before, it was survivor 100% for a few weeks, then it was survivor in the morning and killer at night, now it's all killer all the time.

Did those status icons make a bigger difference than I anticipated?

EDIT - It's down to 25% tonight. Maybe just an influx of folks for the event?

Depends on the time of day. If I check mid day its 50-100% for survivor. I won't complain though as it makes up for BBQ's BP removal.

Haven’t gone on to check but mine were always survivors 100% in the afternoon and killer 100% at evening/night

The only major buffs killer got were for knight and I seriously doubt many care about those. It was generally a more survivor focused update

Even now? Since the event started, basically, it hasn't budged from killer. Hang on, let me check.

EDIT: Well, it's 50% for killer, so that's...something I guess.

Killer queues are way shorter as well. But the incentives are not at 100% all time. Sometimes survivors have them as well.

Incentives are different for people depending on MMR. My incentives never touch survivor.

    Yup.

It's actually a little irritating, as I'm done with my killer archives for now and also Iri 1.

But that does make me wonder...

If you're, say, a very low MMR survivor but a high MMR killer - is it possible to have 100% on both?

Depends on time for me. Evening time it's either 50-100% for killer, but daytime it's 50-100% for survivor.

I'm at 100% survivor right now but did notice it was perma killer for a bit. I don't think you can say what impact the icons will have for sure until next month. I've noticed survivors are doing gens more than before but that is typical for an event. Once the honeymoon period ends and the game goes back to normal we should see how the icons truly impact the game.

Can't wait to bathe in bloodpoints this weekend. Haven't been able to play much since the beginning of the year !

I'm hitting around 100k if I do my usual 'everyone gets a lot of BP' playstyle and the survivors don't just megasweat.

Gen speeds feel just...so bizarre right now. I'll be running Plague, see a Discordance pop 2 seconds into the match and by the time I get there, not only has the gen popped but another one pops in the middle of the map where I was maybe 50 seconds ago.

Then I see quadruple Hyperfocus, a Fogwise, quadruple Stakeout, Deja Vu and your standard CoH/Ex perks in postgame and it's like - 'is this really fun for you?'.

Yea ppl be real sweaty in events. I played I think 8 games of killer since patch and I got a 4 stack of all strong players and builds and then a 3 stack with full meta and broken med-kits with the solo survivor being a legacy p3 nea. Like all events its some players being sweaty and then other players play sweaty because it isn't fun being sweat on and at the end of the event everyone playing like there is a $25 BestBuy gift card on the line.

Like my soloq games have survivors hitting gens and I don't know if that is because you can see what other players are doing so they don't want to dick around or if it's simply the event so players are all taking it more serious.

Yep. Same boat. I got iri 1 shortly after reset, and just recently got blight to P100. I need to get Nea to p100 now but my bonus is on killer. I’d love to play some survivor, I just don’t make sh*t for BP.

I average 100-120k a game on killer, and lucky to pull 35-40k on survivor with a cake.

I'm getting more and more Killer incentives as well. A couple months ago, I'd have roughly an hour and a half to two hours of survivor incentives after work and now it's Killer incentives with survivor only showing up during the day. Killer incentives kick in a lot earlier on the weekend as well.

Currently 50% surv bonus NA East. Typically, I see 100% bonus for surv in the morning through the late afternoon and then a 100% BP bonus for killer in the evening.

On patch day it was on killer for me, popped over to survivor a few times. I think because so many wanted to see the survivor HUD on patch day. Once event started it went back over to survivor and stayed.

Been seeing a pretty even split here depending on time of day, but more +25% than ever before on both sides. Which is nice, means that for my queue pool it seems to be pretty close to the desired ratio so I get real speedy queues on both roles.

I just figured that since the new update has made a massive improvement to the Solo Queue experience, for once, more people are playing survivor to test it all out leaving the killer queue lacking in players. This is great for me, as the majority of the time I play killer, and I appreciate the incentive bonus, but I've also noticed a massive change in survivor efficiency and behavior since the update, which is making them much more challenging than they used to be. I like a challenge though, so I see it as a good thing for the most part, but has gotten a bit more frustrating as well. I felt a bit of apprehension playing my go to girl Plague yesterday, but fortunately, no matter how much info the survivors have, nothing will fix survivor pettiness (Dc'ing/Giving up when it's not going their way) or their penchant for making mistakes.

It's just, now, I feel more pressure than ever to avoid making any mistakes of my own, and that has caused quite an uptick in my anxiety levels when queueing up as killer.

It's been 100% killer at night on NA for months now.

THIS!! Where I am it is almost always Survivor during the day but there is an hour or so it creeps over to killer and comes right back to survivor. Then at around 7-8pm, it always goes to killer and stays there.

But, since Monday or Tuesday of this week it is almost ALWAYS on killer, no matter when I check it. And if it ever does show up on survivor it’s at 50% which it almost always was at 100% previously.

    Very frustrating.

I wouldn't read too much into it. Incentives vary based on time of the day (in the evening people lean toward survivor to play with their friends), mmr and region in general (NA seems to have always had a shortage of killers).

Also, when a new tome drops that skews the ratios as well.

Only bhvr knows the real numbers.

Tuesday was killer all day - a bunch of people trying out the SoloQ HUD, I imagine. Yesterday was going back and forth a lot all throughout the day. Today was mostly surv with 25% or 50% and the odd 100% - or the odd killer incentives (25-100, really varied).

Will see in a few days if that's just the midchapter effect or here to stay. I wouldn't be surprised if at least around certain times there will be a lot of going back and forth since there do seem to be a bunch of players who generally don't care too much which role they play and were just so put off by the soloQ experience that not even incentives could get them to play surv. If the HUD changes make the Solo experience noticably better they will probably fill in those surv gaps.

For me it has been 100% last 6 months survivor on day time and mostly evening too but at evening I have enjoyed it being 100% for killer in few matches. Only on weekends it has been for killer in evenings whole time. But recently it has started to be whole evening on killer last few weeks at least no matter the day. And last few days it's even at day time lot on killer. It's still midday and early afternoon on survivor but today it was only 25% for me. Probably casual killers has left the game. It feels that most matches are lot sweater no matter what side you play. Killer tunnel at 5 gens more and more. Survivors play more sweaty swf and rush gens.

    100% killer all day.

    50% survivor at 3-4 a.m.

On like the first day of the update, it was +100% for Killer, but it quickly swapped back over to Survivor.

Also keep in mind that it is based on your region, time of day, etc; so what you see might not be what other people see, but I do find it interesting nonetheless.

How does that work? Shouldn't my MMR be different for all my Killers but the incentive is set before I choose a Killer.

I would assume it's because of a combination of the event + solos wanting to test the new icons.

My queue incentives are going back and forth depending on time of day just like always.

Sorry, how are you averaging 100-120k blood points a game? I haven't seen anyone earn more than 60000 blood points so far in this event, and I've played quite a bit.

Depends on your location, time of day, lots of variables.

The new killer shine has also worn off, so alot of surv's who were playing the Knight have now gone back to survs.

Your MMR does differ from each killer yes, how ever its not a drastic difference between them. Because of this the game probably averages your MMR between all your killers and sets the incentives that way

This is just a guess tho, its possible it calculates it some other way

It's been trending that way for months. Survivors have adjusted to the killer buff patch and gravitating back toward the role. Soon we'll be back to 10+ minute queues on survivor after 8pm EST.

I know a few killers who have stopped playing killer because of just how overpowering gen speeds are. Maybe this solo queue change has pushed them even farther away.

Personally, despite it being a big boost for survivors, I think the icons are a great addition that should have been added a long time ago. However, killers should get some compensation somehow. Killer success is almost always entirely dependent on survivor efficiency. If you have an efficient full SWF, you're going to win...a lot (unless you're going against broken killers like Nurse, at least). These icons helps propel survivors into being more efficient, so in turn, things are going to get more difficult for killers. Most killer success entirely resolves around survivor efficiency, so many killer wins have been dependent on inefficient solo queue survivors.

This is a good thing especially if Killer incentive continues even after the event. It sends a message to everyone and BHVR that the Killer population will decrease accordingly if the playerbase finds the “power” role to be much more stressful to play.
