new wiggle mechanic
is it just me or does the "new" wiggle feels like nothing happens? most killers dont even sway to the sides.
anyone else thinks that?

The devs have said that if you're hitting Greats, which is pretty damn easy to nearly always do, they should be swaying more than they were before this change.
That said yes all the killers I've went against today have still been walking in straight lines to the hook without having Iron Grasp so what's the point?

To be honest it's easier than before, i was able to run around Midwich carring a survivor without any trouble or special perks

It should be making them wiggle more, that said they never specified by how much, however I would think you shouldn't expect it to be boil over levels of impact(Boil Over is currently 80%).

as survivor it feels like the killer isn't affected.

They did also make it so it's easier to carry a survivor to hook on controller so maybe that factors in as well.

Ok i just tested live against boil over
Man, there's something VERY wrong with the new wiggle ! Right now, if a survivos has Boil Over is like playing against the old mechanich with someone without Boil Over
If, right now, a survivor has no Boil Over, i can walk in a stright line without even taking a little bump

agreed, with boil over i cant control where i am going anymore, boil over seems to be broken at the moment with the new wiggle.
oh and can some killers confirm something else? NOT ENOUGH HOOKS
i played on graveyard an midwich and in both locations i had no choice but to let them bleed to death. there just werent enough hooks. no, not because they went somewhere without hooks, but literally no hooks (and no offerings for that!)
what is wrong with this patch right now?!

agreed, with boil over the new wiggle mechanic seems to be a bit broken. i walk like i am drunk AF, no comparions to before boil over.
and: can any killer confirm that maps are lacking hooks? played now on graveyard and midwich and at both i had no choice but to let 2 ppl bleed out. not because hooks were gone or offerings were made to decrease the amount of hooks... there are just not enough.

The only time I've ever swayed from a survivor wiggle is when they have Boil Over. Think you are used to console killers, as its harder to compensate the sway with a controller before this update.

My question is why Wiggling doesn't give you BP anymore.
Kinda ridiculous that they decided Survivor needed less BP

This. This is such a bummer. I feel like survivors constantly get ways to earn BP taken away - first was ending struggle on hook because you're last survivor, then it was ending struggle on hook because other survivors were hooked, and now it's removing wiggle BP.

I've noticed it as killer mainly in narrow places with corners but in most places it is barely noticeable, however I played against some survivors trying to combine it with Boil Over and I think that perk is now a bit more powerful but I can't guarantee it, maybe it was just suggestion.

And seems like great skillchecks make killers sway 20% more based on new-50%-less norm lol so it should be smth like 60% of previous wiggle power.

Thanks! I was unaware of the number, the steam news article seems to be out of date/not in the same state as the official patch notes as they do not have a value.

Official patch notes don't have it either. It's from pre-ptb dev blog where they explained all changes and reasonings. Idk why didn't they mention numbers in notes, tbh.

Honestly to me the wiggle checks have always been the most pointless thing about this game. They are the most intense set of skill checks that exist, which we are forced to do constantly, and they have next to no effect. Previously if you got sweaty on all your checks it shaved off a whopping 1 second from the carry time. Now its literally even worse. Do us all a favor and just make the break out timer fixed and save us all from this aweful mechanic.

The new wiggle system is filled with bugs. Wiggle bar resets to 0 after you get dropped, sometimes no stun if you hit 100% and you cant wiggle off, barely any movement on the killer if you hit greats and no BP for wiggle.
all we got is occupational therapy while being carried

Yeah it feels like there's no point to hitting greats. No noticeable difference, except when using Boil Over but that could just be the perk itself.

I still don't understand what was wrong with the previous beta wiggle system. Great skill checks = shorter wiggle off time just makes sense, especially since killers have anti-wiggle perks. Good killers can counter Boil Over easily.
I really hope this new system is just bugged, because it really seems to be doing absolutely nothing.

On PS4 I can 100% feel the increased wiggle.
Used alone it wrenches me side to side but it is manageable to fight against with controller.
Coupled with Boil Over though and it is impossible to move forwards at all sometimes, even in the middle of the corn field with no obstructions; the killer just will not move in the forward direction and just gets thrown side to side.
It feels awful to not be in control of my character and I hope it gets looked into quickly as it’s very frustrating and unfairly punishing for controller players, even with the controller input changes mentioned to come with the patch.
As it doesn’t just cause sway but prevents forward movement altogether, I’ve seen some people having to crab walk with the forced sideways movement to make any progress toward a hook.
It honestly feels terrible and insanely debilitating on controller.

I don’t have video because I don’t stream or record my matches but I can confirm that there is no wiggle resistance to the killer. I even run Boil Over and there’s no resistance from that either. It feels like every killer has iron grasp even when they don’t. No sway whatsoever for great skillchecks.

IMO the new wiggle system is worthless. There is no point in wiggling anymore. Had a killer tell me in the end game chat that it isn't even noticable .
