Cosmetic "wear & tear" idea?

I was just thinking, how cool would it be if over time in the trial the killer's visual appearance became more, worn? You know, with all of the blood splattering, getting hit by pallets, power usages, etc. I just think that'd be a neat little addition but also add more depth to the game visually.

Take the Knight for example, after being stunned so many times his armor could become slightly damaged, and being stunned enough could even result in actual pieces of the armor breaking, coming off, etc.

Or a killer with regular clothing, blight, clown, wraith, etc.. Their clothing could become torn after being stunned so many times.

This could apply to survivors as well, my inspiration for this idea came from a game I played in my childhood, as you progressed through the game your clothing became more and more worn as a resemblance of everything you've been through up until that point.

Thoughts? I know this isn't a huge thing, but I think it would be pretty cool to see something like this. But to be fair I am huge on cosmetics and visuals so this may mean a little more to me than others 😂

This sounds like a fun idea. I imagine it would take a lot of work to actually implement the models/textures for the various stages of disrepair, so I doubt it's something they'll ever do. Or, at least, I imagine it would be limited to specific skins.

Ehh, could be neat, but probably not gona happen. We'd like to have blood on the killers and survivors for hits if this was a thing though (yes we know it'd make the blendettes harder to find, we dont give a ####).

Yeah, it's certainly wishful thinking. I know that this would be pretty hard to implement, and it'd definitely be something that would have to be perfected for it to not look silly..

A QoL plus to this would be, default clothing would look a little less "bland", so that would also be very cool.

They tested something like this for survivors a couple years ago and then never implemented it for unexplained reasons. Really disappointing as it's quite immersion breaking running around in a pristine bright dress after having been slashed 12 times in a span of 10 minutes.
