New wiggle doesn't do anything significant
Even if you hit perfect skillchecks, the new wiggle effect isn't better than the old one. I think it was fair that, if you ever managed to hit EVERY skillcheck (which isn't easy), you got one off earlier.

It is not noticeable for the survivor, but in first person perspective I guarantee you the killer feel the wiggle more than before if you get the great skill checks.
And sorry, but it is super easy to get the skill checks, even easier than before when you would get only 1 second less by hitting them all the time.

The new wiggle skill checks aren't made to be better than the old ones. Devs stated that they made the great skill check zones slightly bigger to compensate for not being as impactful as the old wiggle skill check.
Though the old wiggle skill checks weren't that impactful anyway, so I'm really failing to see why it needed to be changed...

They basically made them bigger, removed the 1 second shave off, but if you do the great skill checks you would move the killer more (120% of force applied) because as you said, that second didn't made any difference anyway. To compensate, if you don't hit the great skill check you would only apply 50% of strafing force:
