Is There A Way To Nerf SWFs And Gen Squads Without Hurting Solo?
I’m really curious if there’s a way to nerf them without hurting solo? I seen many discussions on this topic and some say it’s really hard to say cause there might not be a way. I mean I know this may come off like a us vs them posts again and I understand that. But I just really tired of facing them all time when I come back from a break and also want to play an event. Thank you for your time for reading this silly post of mine again. But anyway hope you all have a good rest of your night and weekend. :)

Not really. The only solution is to improve solo q because it sucks so bad. There isn't really a way to nerf SWFs that wouldn't ruin solo q.
Problem with swf is it is by no means an auto win button. I play with a swf regularly. We usually have 3 people and have to deal with one random. And one iffy player can (and frequently does) tank the match. 2 player SWFs can only do so much. Not easy for them to swing a game.
Hell even when we run a full 4 people we still do barely better than usual. A truly strong swf will dominate game after game but groups with that kind of coordination and skill are extremely rare.
Would you nerf all swfs? Just 3 or 4 player groups? Or just 4 player groups with high mmr that have won 5 games in a row?

You're welcome 👍 I suppose nerfing genrush might help a bit. I still reckon prove thyself and BNPs need a nerf. Wouldn't effect solo qs too much because they are a problem when 4 stacked

Some ideas
Corrupt intervention or Deadlock as basekit for Killers
Rework BNP
Only ONE repair speed at time work on gen so PT or BNP or Hyperfocus but not all togheter
For every hook the killer make, survivors receive a 2% repair slowdown penality ( and this is also a "buff" for survivor because incourage killer to don't tunnel )

restrict people because they get 10+ info precks for free and play with friends you mean

The only solution is what BHVR is already doing, put SoloQ to a SWF level in information terms and balance the game taking in count survivors can share (and now always have) info across all the map.

It's a good idea. But it goes both ways. For each squad with BNP and styptics/syringes, there's a spirit with mother-daughter ring+ Yakuyoke amulet, blight with C33+alch ring, meyers with tombstone piece+quick stalking, etc. The game should probably rebalance itself to lower the strength of strongest vs weakest things killer&survivor can bring. Otherwise there will be still this same experience (for both sides)

call it however you want,,no restriction/penalty/handicap will ever be imposed to swf

I understand how you feel and I don’t know how about removing it. But I will agree it’s very annoying to deal with as Killer. I will also say it needs a nerf and also a rework of sorts too.

Yeah I will agree with Milo and that these are some pretty good ideas. I also think that yeah this could maybe also stop with the tunneling and camping issues. But yeah hopefully the devs do use this ideas to help everyone out more.

Balance can’t be achieved as long as swf can’t be nerfed and any buffs given to solo queue benefit swf as well (directly or indirectly)
