Weird But *Insane* Oni Build - How Would You Counter This?
Just ran into this one doing my solo queue shenanigans (although yay on Gold 1 - dammit is it hard to pip on survivor - I got Iri 1 on killer in less than a week, could have done it...probably 3x over in the time it took me to get to Iri IV last time).
Distressing + Coulrophobia + Unnerving + Sloppy
Addons:
- Splintered Hull
- Iri Crest
RPD Offering
It seems like such a dumb build, and has huge, huge info problems early (we got 2 gens done before he got a down).
Then the fun started.
Sloppy + Coul + Unnerving + map wide TR...you cannot heal. I'm a dab hand with Greats and can do a mean Hyperfocus chain, but no - those skill checks are impossible.
Meaning you're pooping orbs all over the map, giving him huge uptime on his transformation and the Iri just lets him rip through the team.
Honestly...no idea how you'd counter this without blind countering it at the selection screen. Not a QQ, just a very creative and outright terrifying build to face.

Like with most things in the game, you rush gens.
It likely only works on RPD due to, well, RPD being the worst map ever made. It has no traditional tiles.

RPD has some bloody strong loops and pallets though. There's the one where you...how would I explain this one? You probably know it. Vault off the top, back in through the door, vault into the office, around, back up to the top and vault again.
The big design flaw seems to be the guaranteed 2 gens in the main hall which...that has to be a bug and there's often a 4gen, meaning there is zero way to not get 3genned.

Depends on the variation.

Yeah, I forget which is which - there's one pretty decent RPD and one horrible RPD for either side.

West Wing is generally considered stronger for Survivor.
More pallets and it's bigger iirc.

The main counterplay to any Oni who wants to use their power is delay the first hit as much as possible, which is very hard for uncoordinated teams to do since chances are by the time someone who's been caught off guard realises its an Oni it's too late
Once you're injured just ignore healing, the build doesn't want you to heal so don't bother. Sit on gens and hope your teammates can run him for just long enough. They don't need to be masters of looping, just decent at time wasting.
Most strong mobility killers could use this build pretty well on RPD but that's the thing, RPD is what enables this because it's game area is so compact. It's a decently sized map when you factor in verticality but TR does not factor that in

Yeah, that's the one with the over/under loop I was describing I think. That's one of two loops that I'm finding I can run most killers on for a stupid long time.

Still one of the most killer sided maps

Provided the Killer has a sense of direction and doesn't keep walking into a wall.
As I have proved too many times.

Yeah… i ran it before seeing this post. Personally i prefer a different perk than lethal pursuer because i can usually find people easily. The perks i prefer to run instead are shattered hope, thanatophobia, nurses calling, dying light, fired up, forced penance, or something like that. Depends on my goal as oni.
