Empathy and Empathic Connection just received a shadow buff
With the new gen progress being shared among survivors, those 2 perks are now more valuable than ever. You can see your teammates doing gens (if they are injured of course), see the general location of the gen, and go there if they engage in a chase. Even if the teammate is not injured, by paying attention to the hub, you will know what the possible gen was the one being worked on as soon as the teammate leaves the gen and engages in a chase.
Empathic Connection just gives the information to your teammates if you are the one being pushed away from the gen, plus it's still a good anti-sandbag perk. Teammates should never come to you if you are repairing a gen unless they have no choice.
Rookie Spirit is another perk that sort of received a shadow buff.
I will be running those perks for a while just to see how the games go, but with just 1 game, I managed to take big value from it.

Bond's range is kinda short though

Bond and aftercare are better in my opinion

That's not a shadow-buff. Shadow-buffs are mechanical or numerical adjustments that have not been announced or declared. But these perks have not been changed at all.
Their circumstances have improved, but that's not a shadow buff.

I almost always run Empathic Connection. Always though it always useful for others running killer to not go to. Plus if someone is on death hook I could try telling them to come to me so I can heal them so they aren't as vulnerable.

Empathic Connection was super underrated even before this update. Would love to see more survivors using it.

Better together too.

Aftercare and Bond are better than Empathy (but Empathy is good), Situational Awareness/Better Together is superior to Empathic Connection.

If that's what you call a buff, it's very minor because you could already see a survivor's aura doing the animation of repairing. Not you're just more likely to notice because of the generator icon by their name.
