Why Aren't Twins a Priority for BHVR?

Right now, Twins are effectively a non-Killer.

Twins being unpopular is no secret, but right now the Killer has literally never been less attractive (hell arguably, no Killer has ever been less attractive). If you want to play Twins in 2023 you have to deal with:

-at least 7 detrimental bugs, three of which have been around more than 18 months and one of which breaks the Killer completely if you attach while playing on a poor-performance device (This has been the case for 2 months)

-the current meta of overtuned recovery and healing perks/medkits that counter them harder than any other Killer in the game

-random perks that don't significantly affect any other Killer happening to completely break your back (Flip Flop and Exponential being the main offenders) because of Twins' unique weaknesses

-fatigue times and general downtime that's so long that a team can fully reset from all injured *consistently if there's a Boon up* between downing a Survivor and hooking them.

-a rework said to be in the pipeline with zero timescale and zero idea of whether Twins as we know them will even exist afterwards

In a sane world, sorting out Twins would be an absolute top priority for BHVR. Like, this Killer has a paralytically low pick rate and the recent high MMR stats suggest Twins aren't exactly high MMR monsters any more, if they ever were.

Twins aren't even FUNCTIONAL for a lot of players (I know members of my community who bought Twins or their DLC in December and have yet to be able to play a game without the Killer breaking), but it's been two months since Forged in Fog broke them in half and all we've had are more detrimental bugs piled on with the vague assertion that a rework is coming. But we don't have any details as to a timescale or what to expect from the rework: for all we know, us Twins players are just getting a bunch of QOL stuff, bugfixes and an addon pass, or our favourite Killer is going to be effectively deleted and replaced Freddy-style.

From what I've been told, I speak for the few remaining Twins enthusiasts left: we are worried about the future of our Killer and are convinced neither BHVR nor the community cares. I hope I'm wrong.

This is the killer I most want to play, because it looks unique and funny.

Leaving them broken seems so completely unreal to me, that I partially can't accept that they would do that.

But, I'll take your word for it and wait until Behavior gives a concrete statement about what/when they'll fix with them

They're supposed to be getting a rework this year. It might not be worth it for them to put time and energy into bugs if the bugs aren't going to matter soon. They're the killer I want to try next, so I'm just waiting for the rework.

Maybe because they don't have a clue how to fix or rework them without completely changing their concept or something.

Twins is supposed to be next in line, my guess is that the whole power is getting reworked as to why its taking so long.

Im hoping they give Victor and Charlotte an AI while the player isnt on them, to patrol but also walk away from hooked survivors, making them less campy.

Different departments. The folks fixing bugs aren't the same as those designing cosmetics.

Lack of popularity, but also excessively short deadlines.

BHVR seeks to push out new content every 3 months, with each new event, character, perks, incidentally breaking some other things that need to be fixed again. At some point, there just either isn't enough time or manpower to work on fixing everything.

It would be much better if they spaced out chapters, if only a little bit, as to have more time to put out actually working new killers and fixing the old ones.

Least popular Killer with complex power (hard to fix) and not the best skin making character in the game. That's probably why.

What confuses me is how, after everything they have going against them, technically speaking, they haven’t been killswitched yet.

Like, I get you as a Twins player (ex main?) don’t want your killer to be inaccessible for god knows how long, but Nurse was killswitched for way less.

A killswitch also seems to mean they prioritise fixing the killswitched thing, so I guess that’s telling in and of itself.

Twins don't even need a massive rework, they already have a solid foundation as a killer. They only need to actually fix their bugs and make them less slow and clunky to play.

A good addition to their kit I've seen suggested is to let Victor and Charlotte swap places after Victor downs someone. This will let them hook right after a down and make anti-slugging perks less punishing on them. As it stands right now you -need- to slug to an extent unless Charlotte happens to be right next to the down, which is usually not the case, and that makes perks like We're Gonna Live Forever, Boon: Exponential and Flip Flop/Power Struggle absurdly overpowered against them, which isn't really fair.

Short answer because BHVR doesn't care. Twins won't earn them money so they can't be bothered to fix them

Exactly, for me, What BHVR do about Twins is a complete disrespect with their players.

What reworks? At BEST, Killer reworks are just heavily changing the addons.

Plague, Legion, Ghostface. They all play the exact same as pre rework. They tweaked some numbers and redid the addons. Yes, they feel better to play but it's not like they had to redo an entire Killer Power.

Not quite sure why it takes Y E A R S to do these seemingly minor changes.
