POV: You Have Upset a Streamer
I do so enjoy being harassed, lied about, told to off myself and getting called varying slurs because I tunneled someone (at 2 gens) after they brought me to Eyrie of Crows. Love that they accused me of coming into their chat and spamming slurs and saying sexist things. Love that they tell their viewers to mass report me on Twitch, Xbox and DBD. Love that they immediately banned me, but set-up some chat thing that gives out my DBD account, Xbox account and Twitch name so that other people can mass report me and since I'm banned, I can't even get in a word edgewise.
Just needed to vent, not super intellectual, I know. It's been a stressful night, I'm livid and worried

POV: you are a Dead By Daylight player and you will have to deal with this every time you play.

I always find it strange that a streamer would do things like this knowing they are live and everything they're accusing you of is a lie. I'd say if there is a vod of all this keep it as evidence in case they're somehow successful in getting you banned from any of those platforms. I doubt it'll happen but if something does it looks like a clear cut case to getting them banned.
5 -
If you have evidence of this I recommend sending it to twitch.
Also, sorry that this happened to you because someone couldn't act like a mature person. There are so many people who don't deserve a platform on twitch and you found another.

Eyrie of Crows isn't too bad now. Shattered Square is the new map offering I'm seeing every other game. You can see the killer a mile away to hold W and there's god pallets every 2 meters. Got sent there 3 times tonight and it pretty much made me quit the killer role permanently

I dunno man
Normally people getting upset doesn't really matter. They call me names, call me trash whatever ya know? But they were accusing me of some absolutely heinous things AND they were being a massive ######### hypocrite at the same time
All the while I couldn't do anything about it
Looks like they ended the stream and started up a new one, no VOD is saved yet so I might be out of luck
1 -
I did end up reporting their channel, but I can't find the vod anywhere
2 -
I think it really depends on the RNG right now.
Sometimes it's very manageable. Other times tiles chain into each other extremely well. I also massively ######### up in the early game which led to me needing to tunnel at 2 gens.
1 -
Twitch should still be able to access evidence even without one. I reported someone on Twitch that was streaming themselves hacking in DbD. There was no VOD and they were still banned within a day
4 -
well, hopefully that's enough

If I was in you position I would Alch ring tunnel that guy out next time I saw him. And I have done that maybe twice in the last year XD.
Genuinely you would think I would run into this behavior more often maining blight but it's such a rarity.
0 -
I would legit be happier if I never had to even think of them again
1 -
It seems like trouble legit finds you easily. Not trying to downplay your harrassment.
Don't let it get to you my friend.

I guess if you pack on 5K+ hours, it's bound to happen.

That's so terrible! I feel like people on Twitch have a responsibility to be a good example to the community...most are not however. So i'll start by saying, you can tunnel anytime you like. I'm sure they were loaded w all the best perks, already brought you to their map of choice..sounds like they're just salty. It's weird that they were salty enough to go to such extremes though, very odd to me.
I agree with everyone saying you should report to Twitch, I do think they'll do something about it. Especially since they gave out all your info, I believe they have a rule against anything being said that can personally identify you.
Reading this part is totally optional, but in regards to your experience...some months back my boyfriend played with a ttv on Evil Dead who had THOUSANDS of followers. So you would think some maturity? My bf is very low key, but I do have a twitch for streaming and an IG account for my gaming..so i'm pretty easy to identify...which is fine.
So this streamer, with thousands of followers, loses his mind over whatever happened. Calls my boyfriend a bunch of things over headset and on stream..my bf tells him, sorry man I wasn't really using coms because my baby is sleeping.. (she was sleeping in bed w me and we were watching him play)..this man goes on about how our baby is neglected, and someone should contact child protective services and how he's sleeping with me...I mean insane stuff. Like you couldn't imagine. With thousands of viewers watching.
I did file a report with Twitch and they don't tell you what happened, but that video and every other video was gone the next day. So i'm assuming they took it seriously. For me, I was like whatever until he brought my baby into it...for you, I would be most upset with him giving out all your info..that's definitely a safety issue, and I think Twitch would take it seriously. Sorry you have to deal with this! Being a killer is rough.

Too bad about the VOD being deleted.
If it happens again just say "I was such a big fan of you. So disappointing you would lie like this about me", even if you've never seen their channel. And then never think about them again.
1 -
I'm pretty good at keeping stuff hidden, so I'm not super worried about being personally I'D but my Xbox and DBD usernames are the same. Maybe I should change that.
0 -
Has anything come of it? Is there a lot of people reaching out and harassing you since this happened?
0 -
Good Luck! Do not let it get you.
Karma will catch up with them one day.

I had some spam on my twitch and I've had like two messages on Xbox
I think they were from the same person though, their manner of speaking was too similar.
0 -
I believe you not getting a word in edgewise is part of the plan, if you did the hate content would be diffused.

after getting ran nearly the entire game by someone crouchspamming at every pallet, near the end i caught my quarry and just decided to let them bleed out. it wasn't an overtly hostile act as much as it was paying it forward on the taunting bit- you had your taunting fun, now i have mine since i finally caught you, hee hee, ha ha, whatever. truthfully I didn't care much beyond that, but there was a streamer in that match who stayed to spectate after escaping, and they called be if I remember correctly a 'garbage human being', insulting my perceived skill at the casual game we were playing, retorting some insults I can't repeat here, and also reporting me for cheating or something. I found the whole display to be an extreme reaction to what was in my eyes a pound-for-pound note of tomfoolery between two consenting tomfool-ing parties.
he didn't have much of an audience and it didn't really do anything beyond vaguely confuse me and hurt my feelings; but as much as I've enjoyed watching the replays of some nice TTVers and lurking for a bit afterward to show support, the inflated ego that can arise from getting more than 10~ viewers is real, and these people need to be more conscious about what they're saying. some are truthfully vicious poisonous people and some just don't seem capable of handling their anger at all
1 -
Yeah be sure to report them!
If this happens again in the future look if you can get some recording in so you have proof even if they don't save the vod.
Even a camera in front of your screen could work for this.
That said i think twitch can find evidence regardless. Hope they get what they deserve

You are being sarcastic, you do not actually love/enjoy these things, you actually hate that this is happening.
0 -
That is....correct, I was indeed being sarcastic.

Why do ppl care so much about random ppls opinions? Most of the time endgame chat is just crying, no matter how and with what build you played. The only reason to look at it is to see a rare GG or you're enjoying the salt. If you need validation, don't play DBD. Best advice is to just deactivate endgame chat for yourself. And not going into any TTVs stream shortly after the match.
As killer i treat all survs the same as i know most TTVs aren't even live at the moment and most TTVs are very small aswell, that's why they put the TTVs in their names. I will start to tunnel the weak link when i have too, or when they start to act toxic anyway. I give a sh** about names.Tbf, on my OLED the names are so small, i don't even look for them. I only see Meg, Nea etc... or just call them number 1, 2, 3, 4 to keep track how often i've hooked them.

It can cross over to being harassed outside of the game even if (or because) you completely ignore them. I don't think I would call it stalking but it's similar. This seems to have happened here with messages on Xbox being sent.
For example I've had people add people from my Steam friend list telling them to tell me to kill myself, among other things, because I ignored their friend requests or blocked them.

Keyboard warriors are blinded by their streaming messiahs.
2 -
Stuff like this is part of the reason why I use Anonymous Mode all of the time. Some people are just disgusting. I'm sorry this has happened to you and I hope you're doing alright.
1 -
This is exactly why I don't come into any streamer's twitch anymore.
Had one TTV and their friends (I assume) calling me slurs, pathetic stream sniper and a crybaby because I gave up after a few minutes when they sent me to Garden of Pain and brought 4 BNPs (by the time the last gen was 99ed btw). They wouldn't let me go and instead swarmed me, teabagged, spammed notifications etc. So I went to a corner of the map and waited until they'd finally leave. I still wrote "wp" in EGC and noticed that one of them was a streamer (checked their profiles to see how many hours they had) so I went to their stream and said that they played well but the offering and harassing at the end was a bit over the top. Never again.
If there's a streamer just play normally, ignore the EGC at all costs and do not come into their twitch.

Wouldn't having all the anonymous mode settings on in the first place neglect all this from happening at all?
0 -
I know Pulsar isn't an advocate of it, but they and I are both on Xbox and cannot even use Anonymous Mode.

Sounds rough. And happens all too often when you play killer well 🙄 Had something similar when I tunneled out a streamer late game but not quite as scorched earth as your one seems to have gone 😳
I'd killed one player, had the 2 others on 2 hooks and had resolved to let them go because they'd offered me their items. Last surv I hadn't seen at all so far. So I tunneled them hard and got 3 hooks to remove them from the game.
Cue a rude message, to which I politely explained why I'd tunneled that hard, and pointed out that it was very late in the game and they'd earned 20k BP even with the death.
More abuse so I reported their ruder messages and apparently got them comms banned because they used an alt account to message and keep harassing me.
Bout 30mins later got a message from a different account that claimed to be an xbox insider informing me clips had been sent to BHVR and I'd been recorded on stream "working with the other team" (which I hadn't, the survs I released didn't rat out the player in question) and claiming I'd be banned.
Months later and this mysterious ban still hasn't materialised 🤣 it's amazing what some people will do when you legitimately beat them in a game. Hope yours doesn't cause you any issues OP.

Totally agree!

This^ post is straight outta The Big Bang Theory. Sheldon, is this you?

Hope that guy gets banned

I'm honestly so sick and tired to TTVs in dbd. It's always something with them
1 -
I've met a lot of good people on DBD but it seems that I also find a lot of horrible people too
0 -
Doesn't all of this violate the EULA and allow for Behavior to revoke the streamers license to play DbD?
I mean, of all the negative experiences i've been around in this community small streamers are far and away the worst. You would think Behavior would not want these people using their game for profit and making it look like an internet bully's dream playground.

This content has been removed.

More like they find you
0 -
Same with me but the salt seems to outweigh the sweet
0 -
Streamers shouldn't be able to disable VODs tbh
Some streamers get away with horrendous behaviour but nothing is done because their vods aren't available for anyone to check
0 -
One of the most toxic DBD streamers around has a cosmetic that you can still purchase in the Charity Case DLC, so I would not bet any money on BHVR curbing toxic behavior in the streaming community. They literally do not give a flying #### about it.
2 -
Report it as witch hunting.

That is a very sad thing.
But, thank you for the depressing information.
The more you know about the people you give your money to!
