To those who DC after dropping a map offering
Why? you chose the map, if you get downed instantly and d/c?! not only do you ruin the killers match, but the survivors as well. please for the love of all that the entity oversees, tell me why?

Somebody Disconnecting could mean a number of things, let’s be a bit more optimistic here, that person could’ve had to deal with a family emergency and had to DC, their dog or cat might’ve ran outside and they had to DC to chase after it before it gets hit by a car, maybe that person threw up all over their gaming setup cause they ate somthing bad etc.. you never know why that person DCd. So just because someone DCd on the map they specifically bought doesn’t mean they DCd cause they don’t want to go against a specific killer they don’t like.

legit dc'd right when they were downed after being chased, that means its extremely unlikely it wasnt an RQ

Popular Twitch streamer/Youtube content creator Otzdarva (also known as Not Otzdarva, Otz, Papa Otz, etc), in the year of our lord 2018 (I think), formulated the following law
"They whomst burneth a map offering, shalt disconnect post-haste uponst being downed first"
This law is absolute, meaning that the survivor who burnt a map offering will always DC upon being downed first, regardless of map or killer

I'm sure you're scenario happens, the question is how frequently. DC penalties didn't happen because of people with emergencies. They happened because people abused it.
Why do you get punished for a legit disconnect? Because the world is full of whiney children.
As an example. Where I work, if you are an hourly employee and have to leave for any reason, you get a point on your attendance record. For a short time their was a policy that if you left and brought back a doctor note the point would be removed.
What ended up happening was a handful of people would download fake doctor notes from the internet and gamed the system.
So what happened? Instead of dealing with the small group of people that were doing it, the policy got changed and now if you have a doctor appointment you get the point anyway.

also id like to point out, your not even running the "best" add ons for knight in that

I don't need them

Addition, if they truly DC because of an emergency the penalty should expire by the time they return. If the penalty is too long, they should evaluate why their life is full of emergencies.

yeah, but was just pointing that out because that kind of hits different

One of my favorite killers to face. The only killer I absolutely despise is Trickster.

Because they bring a map offering for an easy win. They are usually sending you to a survivor sided map with a full meta loadout to get an easy escape and if things are not going their way they DC because of their ego being hurt

Your responses are very down to earth and good vibe ish. Hope to hear more from you around here 🙂

It's usually because if they burn an offering they are attempting to do something specific with that map, and getting downed immediately means they don't get to do that thing, so they get impatient and leave.

Survivors who are running a map offering are more likely to also be a DCer for a couple of reasons:
They may have had a bunch of bad games and so are running a map offering to try and force a better game for themselves on a survivor-sided map. If they then go down quickly they DC because they believe it's just another bad game and they're already tilted.
Or they have a particular build/play in mind and if the killer isn't falling for it they ragequit.
