If You Are On Death Hook, Stop DCing.

This is from a match I just played. I went out of my way to evenly hook everyone before I killed Survivors (basically I bring everyone to first hook, then bring everyone to second hook, I will ignore chases until I make sure everyone is 100% on the same hook state).

The Survivor DCed because they went down on death hook while trying to do Adept Yui, I have censored their name to prevent harassment since that is the last thing I want.

Let me explain this for those in the back who dont understand, stop DCing when you are on death hook. Here is why:

  • The Yui, despite playing the match entirely, basically gets nothing from the match, gets a DC penalty (if they DCed more than once), all just to not be in the match 10 seconds longer... that trade-off is just not worth it and it accomplishes nothing.
  • You arent proving anything other than your entitlement, especially when I handicap myself throughout the match to make sure people are having fun. DCing isnt some "this'll show em" type of thing like people think it is.
  • In this particular match, them DCing removed all time it would have taken to hook the Yui, because of this, I was able to reach a Generator that was super close to being done. If the Yui hadnt DCed, I wouldnt have gotten 2 other kills as a result. Them DCing directly contributed to others dying.

So let this stand as some sort of PSA to the people who do this. Stop.

But some survivors need to dc because Nurse and Blight and Trapper and maps and tunneling and perks and unfair and and and and and.... You're just a filthy killer main, who does not deserve to kill the Yui anyway.

That's probably what goes on in the minds of these people.

A few months ago I had a Nea tbag me all game (while playing in the same way you did). Eventually she would follow me around and insist I chase her. So I did exactly that. Didn't take me 10 seconds to down her with Billy's chainsaw. She dced before her head hit the ground.

These people WANT to dc. They will find a reason to say "Well, I'm not playing against this #######" and dc no matter how you play.

They've probably been trying for that achievement all night and closed their stuff down when it was clear they weren't gonna get it.

    That's it.

Looks like she was going for adept. It’s tough to know that as killer but it can be pretty frustrating when you’re a survivor going for adept because most survivor perks suck. Yui’s aren’t that bad (sans Breakout) but idk she didn’t really have good perks to deal with a Legion.

Yeah lord knows I've been there. One night I was attempting to get Cheryl's adept achievement, and unfortunately for me I played against the most sweatiest of killers and entitled DCing survivors that I never got it, despite trying for over an hour. After 90 minutes of trying I just shut down my system and called it a night.

That match also completely made me stop caring about achievements from that point forward, especially for killer.
