I'm gonna ask this question and I might be harsh but who cares honestly. Is it me or are a lot of Nurse players lately not that good. I'm not calling myself a master looper as some people gaslight themselves to say skill issue at any argument. Every since the Nurse change, I'm noticing a lot of people were most likely relying on her strong add-ons similar to old DH and it's shown these days who actually understands Nurse.

Probably because a lot of Nurse players relied on busted add-ons and builds to win, the actually good Nurses are still good.

idk 🤷🏻♂️ 3.8 ms means you gotta land 2 dash strikes. sometimes 3. it's honestly easier to just stay out of chases and go for gen grabs and the occasional locker or hook rescue pull. nurse is pretty crap when it comes to anything except surprise attacks right now. so i tend to kick gens and use my teleport as a movement tool. unless i'm goofing off for fun. then i chase and blink strike for the dumb daily challenges.

This. The same thing will happen with Blight if his add ons ever get addressed. The skilled players will still do well.

A lot of people could just be doing a daily. But that's what everyone wanted right, weak Nurses? The forums went crazy about her being overpowered for months...so y'all got your wish.

The funny thing is that, while some stuff got nerfed, other got extremely buffed. Campbell's last breath combined with torn bookmark give nurse an insane map mobility with the ability to immediately chain into a hit that was never this strong. Bad man's last breath is actually quite scary to go against when not in a 4man that constantly keeps track of her movement. The "con" is that these are all rare/ultra rares, but does it matter?

There's a real difference between double recharge or range and basekit Nurse. If you were used to spamming blinks with no real downside other than if you mess up you can just get repeat immediately, then you developed no sense of power management.
I'm still doing fine barring the deafening chase music. But I don't use addons in general. If you make yourself dependant on something, then it's gonna show when it gets taken away from you.

My biggest issue with Nurse is the absurd loud chase music. I have a very hard time hearing where injured survivors are. Yeah I miss recharge as I am also not a good nurse and it helped but I never had such a hard time knowing where they went.

But good Nurses know how to play her even with the changes. If anything, the nerf revealed who was actually good at Nurse and who crutches on addons for wins

I wish they had an option to turn down chase music. It's really messes up subtle sounds that I need to focus on in phases

yeah, but then isn't it fair to say that base kit nurse is honestly the only true way to determine who's good with her? because at some point we all have to agree that perks, addons, and offerings are just crutches.
not that i disagree with you. i honestly have no opinion. it's always going to be the case that people relying on a build will struggle when it gets nerfed.
just a point that unless a player is good using default power without perks or offerings then are they not also using some form of crutch?
even survivors that start the trial with an item or offering and perks? these are in fact crutches too. just perhaps accepted versions.
it's the downside to a custom class system with progression being tied to power.

Agree with this wholeheartedly. That's why I'm using less exhaustion perks and only having OTR just in case. It helps me to learn how tough distance can be in chases and how to deal with it

Idk what this “you guys” and “arguments we” came up w are. Idc either way. I didn’t mind nurse before, and I don’t mind her now. She’s not my cup of tea, either way.
But..it’s hard to miss months of people complaining she’s too hard to face.. over and over, so it just seems misplaced to now have a post about her being too weak and not very good. Make up your minds. Weak nurse or tough nurse? Weak nurses IMO are likely someone doing a daily.

lot of people that used the recharge addons are now dealing with the full recharge timer. If they continue thinking with the shorter timings they will end up in a one blink death spiral.
Those that used distance are finding out survivors holding W waste a lot of time.

I maybe misunderstand, or the opinion that started this thread isn't that Nurse is weak, but many players are now struggling to adapt after the add on pass.

I suppose a lot of the good Nurse players stopped playing her because the music is too goddamn annoying. I can't play heer ATM because the loud music hurts my ears and I don't want to play with a low volume. So rn I mainly play Billy and Bubba. Nurse maybe still in customs and 1v1s where I don't care about sound that much but not in pubs.

A bit of both probably.
I used to have no problem juking a Nurse with double range or recharge. (I'm not saying it was a walk in the park either)
But the Nurse I've versed with the new perks are way more difficult for me. I still manage but it's hard. I'm guessing I need to get used to the change (whenever I'll come back to the game).
On the Nurse side I still don't use addons so no change there. (However I'm using perks now, since I can't use my only-Frankling anymore 😭)

Nurse is weaker now without range and recharge. Mistakes are more punishing without recharge, which is good. And like you said, it shows who was actually good at her and who was relying on busted addons.
I’m still doing fine, personally. I never used the old range addons at all and I never brought more than one recharge. And I never used Starstruck on her. So not much actually changed for me other than the addition of her obnoxiously loud music which I’m hoping they’ll turn down a bit.

I'd say over half of them are not good and it shows in the first chase. Whereas when you are against a cracked nurse, you will know very quickly there is little to no hope.

I would say im decent, but at the end of the day I am a console Nurse on an old console, I don't win all of my games and tend to have a few bad games with the good ones. So I don't think I can really compare to the PC Nurse players who have been playing for a long time.
Which also makes me curious I was very late to the p100 killers thing cause I don't have nearly the time as most people have, but I wonder if I am the first p100 ps nurse.

Since when did I every say anything about weak or strong nurses? All I wanted was her addons to be looked at. That's it. And that's exactly what I got so I never said a thing about weak nurses

This issue is casual nurses needed the extra help, call it a crutch or whatever you want but of course after a nerf alot of nurses will get weaker, it is a nerf afterall.
I do hate the argument "they wasnt good if they needed x" as if that's the only indication of skill. From my POV nurses needed those to stand a chance against a team of survivors of my skill.
So yes it's TRUE there will be less good nurses, that's what nerfs do but all it did was harm casual players even more on the killer side and I feel we always forget about the casual killer and focus on casual survivors.
Nurse needed a slight change imo but I'm not casual so different opinions and what not

i know you weren't making a point like that. i was just stating the extreme scenario as a point of contention.
something to ground the idea of "skilled" nurses. what is a truly skilled nurse? or for that matter what is a skilled player in dbd?
most of the game's core design is a power creep based on progression. so new players will always be weaker. unless you disagree that a player with zero perks has no disadvantage compared to a custom max tier 4 perk build with addons and offerings.
however, i understand your statement. i just find it amusing.

As far as I'm concerned, I still meet as many nurses as before ... ah, I'm stupid, I practically ONLY play the nurse, as a killer 🤣
Personally, I find the evolution of Jenner's Last Breath completely ridiculous 😒
It was a completely useless addon.
They turned it into something useful and powerful.
Then they turned it back into something completely useless.
They could have at least said, "Here, what if we change its effect completely, rather than making it as useless as it was before."

Many of the Nurses I've faced lately have been easier than before, but I've been on the wrong end of a few beatdowns, too.
Some might be dailies, but I think people who never play Nurse probably just trash those in favor of another (I know I do). I think the add-on pass threw some cold reality onto a lot of casual Nurses.
One kind of notable case the other night was my team (solo) won against a Nurse pretty easily, and I was shocked to see they were P100. And I am definitely not a god tier survivor.

nurse still has some boosted addons like the 3 blinks that still remains, and in general if u were good before nothing really changed.

The people I play regularly in teams have told me that they come across fewer nurses than before (these people are surv' main); maybe some nurses were relying too much on their addons, and can't get good results without them 😯
But we can also wonder if it's not a question of time; maybe beginners / average nurses will eventually get used to these changes, and become better 🤗
In any case, the conclusion is the same: the nurse was, and is, very good, no matter what some people think 🤗

I think we are finally entering an era of dbd where the bulk of people's skill is locked behind strong perks and items/addons.

Killer has always been dependent on their add-on to increase their power-level and challenge level. Perk synergy with killer power can also elevated the killer strength but the majority of killer perks are generally low impact. Nurse is less challenging to play against as a result of weaker perk synergy and weaker add-on's.

Shes still BS, being on a similar level to Blight means shes still busted, cause Blight himself has addons that need SEVERE nerfs.

That's not a us vs them argument at all...
I simply stated casual nurse players are going to find it way harder which is true, and a nerf regardless will always impact players especially casual players.
The nurse nerf punishes you heavily on mistakes with your blinks, something casual nurses will do more often.
Actually read instead of just throwing terms out you hear but dont understand. I just explained why youd see more bad nurses like your OP talked about.

Entering? We're long past that point. In fact, I might argue that it has been that way since nearly the beginning. DBD has never been a great (or even decent) game at expressing (or demanding of) technical gaming skill. It's only becoming more of what it has always been.
Like wydyadoit said, the core of this game is power creep. Invested time (and $$) isn't rewarded as much with skill as with a loaded toolbox. A lot people may not want to hear that, but it's true.

The problem for me as a casual player is that nurse is too difficult for casual players. Not everyone has a life to waste in front of a computer playing 1000 hours in a game to get good, some of us just want to have a nice moment from time to time.

They kinda have been making the game p2p recently. Notice how a lot of the killer meta perks are locked behind licensed dlc ever since Nemesis. They been putting strong perks behind a paywall

That's okay, for a second I thought you was one of those people who strawman and twist stuff (alot of those on the forums which I assume is something you're getting on this post, frustrating right? Lol)
But I'm not one to try cause arguments, I'm actually very understanding of sides and even if I speak about changes for one side dont mean I dont think the other should get stuff too, I want better game health for all which is where alot only focus on them :)

Oh yes. I see all the time in YouTube comments, social media posts, here, in game, etc. I'm not as nice when I see someone actively trying to argue by putting words in my mouth
