Why do you even play M1 killers?HAHA
Do you like hindering yourself and being t bagged at the exit gates just cause there are 15 safe pallets each map?
I was a Pig main once back, back then but now I'm a happy Blight main. I'm a 50/50 player and used to be a survivor main when I first started and I can tell you now: STOP PLAYING M1 KILLERS.
I know you love your precious sadako or ghostface, but if you truly care about your performance ingame and want to "protest" against the changes(which are justified, eruption was a bad design of a perk) just start learning one of the top 5-10 killers.
I promise you that:
- You will find a power that you like and is worthy to commit for learning.
- You will have tons of fun mastering the power.
- Your mastery will reward you with kills.
- You will be LESS relied on perks, thus less on BHVR.
- Your M1 skills that you've learned from poor pig or sadako will transfer to these killers too.
- Maybe when BHVR will see that almost none plays clown, pig, gf or sadako they will MIGHT buff them.
These days, I don't see a reason to play an M1 killer, back in the days the game was more chill, even if you played against a sweat squad, the next game could be more balanced. now with MMR(and don't say it doesn't exist, there's a reason why OTZ can't do 50 win streaks anymore) and all the medkit and toolbox meta, it's better for you to adapt and also find more fun in a more complexed power that will yield enjoyment and results.
You will thank me later <3

No, I will send my Jailer to 40m away Gen to summon him to scare that one Survivor doing my Gen and hear in distance "YAHAHAHA!".
22 -
That's also a thing :P

Do me a favour and you know, stop telling ppl to change their killers just becouse you feel like all m1 killers are trash garbage.
34 -
And here I am getting told off in another thread that m1 killers are fine; that the Eruption nerf doesn't change them much. Forums never cease to amaze me.
2 -
I don't know you, so I don't feel the need to do you a favor. That's my suggestion for people who are complaining about the nerfs and weak killers. for people who don't care about winning, they shouldn't care about tierlists or perks from the beginning.
4 -
Some people can't play only one killer. It gets boring.
13 -
True, that's why you have around 5-10 strong powers to master, mastery takes time. I also liked playing pig a lot, god I was a fan of Scorpionz and learnt everything about her. but when MMR kicked In I've realized that even if i get wins, there's no fun and just sweat in it.
Of course, this topic isn't for people who don't care about winning. if you're having fun with your M1 killer that's totally fine, but you have to realize that if you want to win consistenly, it's not the way to go.

It's people with 200-500 hours on the game who still face survivors that panic vault on a jungle gym dropped pallet, everyone knows that against decent or even average survivors who just sit on gens and don't do meaningless stuff, it's very hard to win with them.
7 -
You question my Trapper in Eyrie?
2 -
no way .. Trapper is the most M2 killer out there.
1 -
Don't even get me started on my Billy on Lery's...
2 -
Yep, exactly why I learned Nurse. Whenever I get fed up with map balance, I just play a few games with her to feel better.
0 -
Fun fact, if every killer player would focus on the top 5 killers, the only thing that would probably happen from that "protest" is the nerfing of those 5 killers 😂
10 -
Even psuedo-comp players panic vault.
Also, everyone faces those sort of Survivors because the MMR system isn't that accurate lol
5 -
M1 killers are literally unplayable. I recently made a thread about it and all I scored were around 20 losses in a row (with 2Ks being the best possible outcome). The moment I switched back to Pyramid Head I was winning games NONSTOP, infact I'm on a 30 winstreak with him right now and it doesn't even matter who my opponents are. They cannot win because chases are so short that I don't even need to worry about being genrushed. I don't rely on Eruption either, the perk's only a crutch for those who need it (aka M1 killers).
6 -
It's not that accurate but it's accurate enough to make the game much sweaty compared to the old system.
2 -
Sounds more like you dislike stealth killers. I haven't played pig personally, I do know she's weak and basically a worse ghostface with a weird slowdown hat very rarely might kill a surv. But i play with ghostie if you just M1 him, you aren't playing him right. Sadako has the highest killrate in the game, even though mechanically she look like freddy and again she is really a stealth killer. And the players who main her know that and are insanely good with her.
Tbh there aren't really any true M1 killers in the game except perhaps hag and freddy. They both have a super watered down anti loop and conditional traversal but they suck in chase.

At first, I would've agreed.
However, the current system seems to function identically to the RBMM. It's mostly a dice roll after a certain point. The only major difference is that new players are generally spared.
1 -
I will keep playing Oni even he is weakest m1 killer. But I do hope buffs for m1 killers would make that first hit easier agains't good survivors. Everyone can play killer they want.
1 -
Or worse... Garden of Pain.
These bushes. These horrible bushes.
1 -
Now what if I told you that Sadako was the killer who's power I enjoy, who's power I find worthy of properly mastering, and the reason for my success as her is because I remember all of my M1 tricks from 2017 DBD
Like Pyramid Head is fine and good but Sadako just scratches an itch no killer has been able to since Freddy was reworked back in 2019.
8 -
Takes effort to learn them so 99% wont bother. They want effortless wins, with killers which anyone can pick up instantly

Idk buddy I've seen trapper 4k a bunch in this game. Does he always? No, but still it's not gloom and doom that this forums seems to think.
5 -
Thanks for the suggestion but five and a half years later I am still enjoying being a Mikey main.
I've no intention of abandoning him in the foreseeable future.
4 -
As someone who still plays a considerable amount of wraith nah I'm good. He has the best collection of add-ons in the game after Blight IMO, a way to legit bait dead hard by tapping the bell and can go zoom in 8 directions instead of 1 so is a far better zoom-y boy than Blight. Also denying a survivor a pallet or window is just funny.
2 -
Me and my buddies brought a P100 billy to Garden of pain. I could tell he was a phenomenal curve billy but he could not get past the bushes. We ended up 4 man outing against him and I felt kinda bad. 😂
2 -
All Bushes are magnificent. The game needs more Bushes.
2 -
I cant wait to see your posts when bHVR adjusts the Blights Power.
6 -
Gotta love the tiny twigs that somehow have the stopping power of a massive tree trunk

1)You will find a power that you like and is worthy to commit for learning.
*why changing to S tier or A tier killer that i dont like playing because either is not my playstile or the killer is insanely busted when using addons...thats making only the other side miserable and makes your games insanely easier and thats boring.
(coming from a Wraith / legion main)
2) You will have tons of fun mastering the power.
*Not everyones shares the same definition for fun - (personally i like going for 12 hooks with whatever killer am playing each game but if the game is pretty much over I will not hesitate in tunneling one person out thats for sure , i dont like it but thats how it is , My goal is always 1 kill or 2 + since by that point i already gained pretty much max BP soo i dont care about MMR.
3)Your mastery will reward you with kills.
*relying on a strong power or anti-loop to be good at killer eventually makes you bad when going back to m1 killers ....with none of those you will be making mistakes non-stop...thats why i respect people that still plays m1 killer and get downs by some really good mindgames rather than anti-loop.
4)You will be LESS relied on perks, thus less on BHVR.
*true and thats fair i guess , but you will be more relied on the power itself of a strong killer rather than your own mindgame skills
5)Your M1 skills that you've learned from poor pig or sadako will transfer to these killers too.
*fair enough..
6)Maybe when BHVR will see that almost none plays clown, pig, gf or sadako they will MIGHT buff them.
*soo you want people to play killers that they dont like for years untill BHVR decides to do something with the weaker ones?.....because that can easily take 2 or 3 years to happen if am honest.

i agree to a degree. yes a good nurse or blight will outperform every m1 killer out there.
but i had some of the most fun games playing so called m1 killers like trapper for example
the question is: do you need to win every game to have fun? my answer to that would be no. i dont have to win every game. and i also think it is much healthier for someones mental health to remember that this is just a game. i had to learn it as well.
i am not the best dbd player and that statement is just true for 99.9% of everyone writing in that forum. that is just logic and someone cant argue that, although many many players would think that they are within that 0.1% of players. Its called Dunning-Kruger :D

I still can't get over the fact that a few twigs or tiny bushes can stop 200 lbs 6 ft man with a chainsaw. My man should be able to walk through like it's nothing but apparently the bushes in DBD are maid of steel or something. I'm also still in awe how you can bump into things that are outside your FOV even with Shadowborn. Garden of Pain is one of the worst offenders in that regard.

I don't particularly agree with your statement,I think everyone should play and use what they want based on their wishes and likings.
There's nothing bad in doing all you can to get a win (wich still,in this game,a "win" is a personal preference and doesn't strictly mean more than 2ks all the time, you can win with hooks, points, safety pips etc),but, renouncing to one of your favourite characters and playstyles in favor of another character wich is more "succesful" to another playstyle is a bit of a flawed mindset,if you are still having fun like this, then go for it,good for you.
But if you are not having fun while doing this,on the long run you will feel burned out and bored by the game.
Luckily, the killers I main and enjoy (spirit, artist and recently the knight even if he is a bit buggy and uncomplete at the moment) are even some of the most powerful in the roster,so I don't quite feel the maps unbalance for example, but damn if the games are equally sweaty and hard,I agree on that part.
When playing in places like garden of joy or the new borgo,I always ask myself "What is a pig,a doctor or a Billy even supposed to do here gameplay wise?",but that is,kinda,a balance problem, not your fault.
I say feel free to do what you want, just don't take the wins=kills matter too serious, try to make other personal goals to reach.

Yep love hindering myself as an m1 killer. I love my clown main and I dont run any slow down. If all you care about is winning with a 4k then of course go play blight or nurse that once you have learnt them it's just easy mode. If you can't get a win as an m1 killer then that's a skill issue. BBQ, lethal, Franklin's and devour will always be my clown build and nothing will ever stop that. You say us killers need to adapt to the game and to that I say phewy to you. I adapted by brining Franklin's because Franklin's has single handedly won me more games as a 4k than any other perk because survivors are dumb and care about their items so much they throw for it.
I say ignore the original post and stop running the easy op killers and instead start playing m1 killers. The reason this game becomes so sweaty is because each side is trying to outdo the other. I say bring m1 killers without sweaty builds and bring the fun back to the game. That goes for survivors aswell. Bring the meme perks not the sweat
3 -
Amen brother. Less sweaty more funny.
2 -
Only thing stopping me from playing oni is the comp drop mentality vs him.
0 -
To anyone reading the comments, don't listen to this clown, play whatever killer you find fun. Whether they're bad or not.
3 -
Believe it or not, they changed the garden bushes in someway a couple months back. Blight can hug them now, where before he couldn't play the game within a 2-mile radius of the bushes.
0 -
while what he suggests isn't really applicable it's true that most M1 killers are close to trash tier and either have to go heavily gen regress or get carried by stbfl
2 -
Purely opinion, and imo, a wrong one. FFS its like people think their brain can surmise everything and everyone has to accept it.
I play trapper, and will happily crush any team you can send my way. I wont run gen perks and Ill stomp your team into the ground. Or hook. Whatever.
1 -
Good for you, but objectively trapper is a trash killer, you just happen to be good with him and if you have fun playing Evan you should keep doin it
2 -
I promise you cannot get more than a 1k against a comp team of survivors. Trapper is an objectively awful killer. Your experience in public games against random survivors does not mean much.
1 -
I play him because he's considered a 'trash' killer. It is my skill that allows me to do well, and it applies to most any killer. I'm trying to point out its not a M1 killer thing. But I know its not really going to stick on these forums, so Ill leave it be. Continue with the discussion.

pigs have higher kill rates than blights. jokes on you.
haha
0 -
I know. It's a bit better than it used to be. With Shadowborn you can at least see what you bumped into but for Hillbilly it's still horrible. Haven't played Blight there very much so I don't know how that feels but I'd hope it's nowhere near as bad as before.

Against noob~medium level survivors. against survivors that know a bit what they're doing she's done for. I wish i could say something else, I have like 400 hours only on her.
0 -
Okay, so against the vast majority of the playerbase, Pig is fine?
1 -
Worst take ever.
As an older Dredge/Bubba/Twins/Hag/Doctor/Gunslinger player, on console, who doesn’t use Eruption (Scourge PR sometimes), who doesn’t camp or tunnel, I still get my 2-4K’s.
Do I lose too? Yup! But my 0k matches I’ve gotten at least 6 hooks. Just sometimes can’t hook anyone the third time until the very end.
2 -
Give me your team and invite me. Otherwise, your generalization of my games doesn't mean much. I remain ready to show you how to play Trapper proper.
