Here we go again, is it possible to get an answer that the skull merchant will be getting changes
I did this with wesker. But can we get some sort of confirmation that she will be getting some changes to her power like last time we don't need to know the changes or even when, just a yeah or no.
(For the people it has only been a day so I wouldn't expect an answer for another day or 2)

She needs changes... badly. I think BHVR is waiting for the Hate Train to lose a little steam before they talk to the community, so they don't get swarmed by, well, the kind of people this community is full of.

Well last time I did this Mandy answered after getting the ok to confirm an upcoming changes so I would expect a few days before the change is though of and made then given the ok to be told . But here's the thing. the sooner the problem is addressed the more productive the people become and the steam is evaporated instantly

It's discouraging trying to give feedback on this killer that really does have a ton of potential when it gets drowned out in a sea of mindless "omg worst killer ever not a cyborg chase killer plz delete" threads by let's face it a bunch of people that are not gonna play the killer longer than a week no matter what changes are made because it's not Wesker or Blight.
I would hope BHVR is doing thier due diligence and actually weeding out the few threads with constructive criticism and we get good changes.

I do genuinely think that it's in their best interest to not release the Killer at this time.
They should release the Survivors and the maps but hold the Killer until the Mid-Chapter or later. She has so many issues that can't be solved in 3 weeks that require a re-design. Buffs won't fix her.

I hope she gets buffs! I know I'm in the minority, but I ADORE her! Tbh I think besides Knight, Sadako, Dredge, and now Skull Merchant make this year one of the best years for killers for me! I love Adriana and shes def gonna be my new main so I hope she gets good buffs <3

You are talking about how the hit box size was awful for Wesker? cause that was pretty clear.
The feedback I have seen for Skull Merchant seems pretty arbitrary and random
There isn't a flaw with Skull merchant to make her unplayable and her kill rate seems pretty good.
I enjoyed playing her and I did pretty well with her.

Yeah it was clear he needed a change and so dose this killer this situation is much worse. the page with about 70 of the 80 people saying they aren't gonna buy the chapter shows that.

If they can release Twins in that broken state, then proceed to bug and break her further every three months, nipping any accidental strengthening bugs immediately but leaving everything else, on top of never even attempting to fix help or remove her… I’d say BHVR is perfectly capable of bringing this Killer to the game and still giving themselves a pat on the back lol

While there isn't any technical flaw with her, she is an inferior Knight who's game will be all around putting drones around decent triangle and dragging game to an hour limit because she struggles utilizing her power on many maps most of time and competent survivors know how to deal with drones already.
It's currently the same story as with Knight where people thought he would be OP during PTB. Ask them how they feel about him now, I'm quite sure majority will say he is boring triangle guard dog. This killer is going the same path right now.

I second this, I will reiterate what I said in my Rant I posted a while back, The Skull Merchant has practically endless possible directions her power could have gone, and rather then exploring those ideas, they went with the bland, boring, and just flat out lazy decision of making Knight but worse
This killer needs a full overhaul and rework, not buffs, a rework, BHVR can do and have done significantly better with less interesting ideas, Messing up a idea with as many possibilities as "Rich Brazilian Mechanic with skull drones" is inexcusable

I don't hate wesker or blight per se but I've played blight like 3 times since release and wesker remains the only killer I have never bought. I just find them incredibly boring and I don't understand why they get put up on this pedestal like they're the best killers ever designed.
I don't agree there's no skill with her power there's no mechanical skill sure but other types of skills exist but she rewards planning and game sense and that's what I love. The comparison I'd make is like in overwatch where everyone says a character like winston takes no skill cuz they autoaim when most people couldn't get out of gold with him because they haven't developed game sense enough to understand how to best use them. Mechanics is not the beginning and end to skills in gaming like most people think.

I don't understand how the Skull Merchant is supposed to track or even see survivors within an active drone area. The amount of visual noise from the laser light show is ridiculous.
If I end up with her, I'll probably just walk around the map looking hot and let survivors poke at her. Beyond not being able to see within the drone area, all those bright lights hurt my eyes. At least she's normal speed; I can't use Trickster as a pure M1 killer because of his slow walk.

Their powers have mechanical skill to master, on top of the other skills common to all Killers, and their effectiveness is heavily under the control of the Killer player. Before addons get into it (especially in Blight's case), the powers themselves are decently strong but not impossibly broken, and have applications on a wide variety of maps and tiles. Survivors need to learn how to counter them specifically, but at least there is counterplay beyond holding W away from the tile. And because they work so effectively against said holding W, chases can't be extended for 30s just brainlessly waiting on both sides--they have to be actively participated in.
I think that's basically it. They're not hopelessly weak, they've got plenty to learn that's specific to them, and they offer ways for Survivors to play around it without totally shutting the power down.
And, obviously, any Killer with mobility is better designed as long as maps continue to be huge and difficult to traverse quickly.

It's almost like nothing was learned from Boon's or the Detection Radius from the Knight.
For a tech based killer she's pretty lowtech, too.
You can't even fly the drones yourself like Pinhead's chain.

Of course she'll get some changes. But can they be meaningful enough in the time frame before release? Seems doubtful.
People said the Knight needed a total overhaul, and she is essentially a much weaker version.

Theyre not adjusting her because shes not the real killer, theyre going to make her a survivor or remove her from the game. Predator is the killer.

The pattern is always one of three things
- Changes before launch (almost never significant enough to help)
- Changes in mid-chapter
- Changes via a rework in 2-3 years.
If she doesn't see a rework/fix by mid chapter then I'd expect her fixes to be in 2025/2026
