What do you think is going to happen to CoH
As we know from I think it was the german version of the dev update that told us eruption was getting nerfed that CoH was also going to get hit presumably in the midchapter. What do you think will happen to the perk? Will it be a numbers nerf? Only effect healing other people like We'll Make It? Something else?

Nothing, it doesn't automatically win games. Before CoH, people would just run more medkits and could heal even faster.

Assuming it is actually on the chopping block, it’ll likely lose either the blanket healing speed bonus, or the ability to self care in the boon without a medkit. I don’t see them just changing the numbers like before.

Hopefully either only fast group heals or only much, much slower self heals. Not both. I’d prefer the group heals component, we need healing to require teammates getting off gens.

Nothing. Can’t take away survivors’ favorite toys.

I already see it as a useless perk, but considering Self-Care got nerfed when it was already ######### makes me think they might nerf CoH yet again lol.

I think what they might do is keep the heal speed bonus the same but nerf the self-heal rate like what they did with Self-Care. So it'd be the same for team-healing, but worse for self-healing.

Probably that it can't be used with a medkit for that extra speed

the english patchs notes only said eruption. German patch note was likely an error in translation. probably nothing as eruption change has been showcased in the ptb.

They mentioned that Eruption was done early due to the severe backlash the perk got, but that we should expect the REAL balance patch later.

1. Making the Heal-Area smaller
2. Cannot be reblessed at the same totem again.
3. Number-Changes.
Something like that, if they touch it.

Self-Care was overused in asia-regions it seems.

I mean, we would see less toolboxes, so at least that is something, kind of getting tired of seeing Commodious Toolboxes and BNPs.
(People can bring what they want to bring of course, I just find it annoying to deal with toolboxes constantly.)

I don't think pure Number Changes are the way to go. It will end up just feeling terrible to use even if it stays good. But I feel like this is the way BHVR will take if they decide to nerf it. But I don't like suggestions like making it help in a group heal only, giving it tokens, making it destroyable either. There is no both sides win situation here I feel.
But it does need a nerf bad. I will risk the monkeys paw even if it will end up like the new Self Care.
Assuming it will get nerfed and it wasn't an error on BHVRs german team.

Once COH is killed we can say goodbye to boons for good. Not that that’s a bad thing but it will be funny to see how rare a boon user will become

I wouldn't say it is useless, but it can definitely work against the survivors if they aren't smart about how they use it.
@topic if they change anything having it not stack with medkits would be the best change.

A useless perk?? You’re crazzyyy. It can easily be one of the strongest perks on a team of survivors.

I would just make it not stack with medkits.
But since we know how BHVR handles perk balancing, its either hard nerf so its useless and noone will even run it, or do nothing to it. No in between

Probably nerf self-heal to self-care speed. Still gives it to the entire team but now you either need someone to heal you or you waste a lot of time.

I hope they just nerf the increased healing speed for both self healing and healing team mates to 40%, or maybe 33% at the very most. Anything beneath that would just make this perk bad as well.
There is no reason to overnerf a perk, more viable perks mean more variety.
Honestly, items like medkits are clearly the bigger balance issue. Even if they are finite, the amount of pressure they can take away from a killer is much higher than CoH.

I love how changing something after 8 months is early to BHVR LOL

This. I think not stacking with med kits is the best thing. I've said this a long time ago. That's what makes it broken in my opinion. If it gets gutted, I'll stay injured and do gens as quickly as possible (or bring a med kit). That's how I played before the perk was added.

I do miss running other healing perks and not feeling useless as my teammates ignore me to self heal at the boon...
Would be nice if they could find a balance of not nerfing perks into oblivion though.

Boon:
-Wastes gen time to set up.
-Wastes gen time due to your unwise backside running to the AoE to heal.
-Lets the killer know where you'll go to heal, should they want to come after you again.
-Did I mention it wastes a lot of gen time?
Medkits:
-Best item in the game.
-Readily available to everyone.
-Faster than CoH. Wastes less time. Sometimes it actually saves time.
-Multiple qualities and addons. Can literally heal mid-chase with green medkit and a decent loop.
-Killer won't know where you're healing.
-Can 99 the heal if you're running Resilience, or for play potential in certain situations.
I really don't understand why people complain about CoH when me, countless others and their mother have been exploiting the crap out of medkits for ages. I'm glad I mostly play Plague or Nurse with heal auras tbh.
But feel free to be vocal about CoH 😂

My guess?
Only the perk user who blessed it has self-heal capabilities. The heal speed buff remains, but Circle of Healing now shows the auras of injured survivors within to ALL survivors.
Other survivors will have to meet/go there to heal up, taking pressure off gens, instead of the 4 Self-Cares at the cost of 1 perk slot it currently is.

i doubt it'll be changed it's only situational super powerful now with the nerfs they did to it
