you guys remember the dd gallows hooks?
yeah whatever happened to them they kinda just stopped spawning up there one day and idk if that was intentional or its just a bug

Yeah look at that, right on the dbd website too.
I honestly didn't remember hooks being able to spawn there, but went to the game site and under the map images was this picture of it.
Honestly a weird spot for a hook anyways.

Could have been early dead dawg, like real early. The main site has pictures of hooks being up there.

I do. Don't know if it was a bug. Probably not, given that many buildings spawn hooks upstairs. However, it was a very stupid hook and glad it got removed.

I remember really liking this hook when I first saw it. It felt like hanging a survivor from the gallows!

The stairs leading up there are pretty narrow so the killer could probably block them and camp someone to death.

They wanted to add the mechanic where the generator makes the gallows drop. So no more hooks.

It was removed to prevent Killer from blocking stairs. Yet they kept the Thompson House hook so idk.

I also remember a hook spawning up there. I didn't play that PTB so it was on the live version. Don't remember when that was though, it may have been long ago. Most likely it was removed, it should be in patch notes somewhere.

To anyone confused: it's been there until around last year or 2021. They removed it because killers could bodyblock the stairs.
