The killer design is trash. It doesn’t say “this is a Dead By Daylight killer”. It’s a person with a lame mask, Pig’s claw and Freddy’s Mori.
I’m a passionate fan of the game. But this killer along with Trickster and Knight are just bad ideas.
Where’s Medusa turning survivors to stone? Where’s the Werewolf already!? Where’s Cthulhu? The Blob? And so many more ideas that invoke horror.
This chapter is just bad on so many levels.

I agree that Bhvr should say something about this chapter. Sadly they won’t but if they do I’ll be shock as well.

theyre doing all they can by buffing the skull merchant. they cant just remake the whole chapter, they cant just full reanimate her, her mori, rework the drones entirely, and give her a new model in a few weeks

our last killer, the knight, also looks like a fortnite character because fortnite invented knights, along with women with short hair

"the first sexy killer" people simp over the plague-a woman with a missing toe and a disgusting disease who pukes on people. the trickster is shirtless in his base cosmetic. dbd doesnt need to try and sell a chapter off of sex appeal, this community is down bad as is

It isn't in their business practice to do that (talk about the negative backlash) and so they probably will not and if they do. Very much indirectly.

You will get a lot more killers you maybe not like in the future.
If they keep the pace of 4 killers and survs and perks a year they won´t be great everytime.
I would like them to slow down with releases but i think this won´t happen.
But i guess there still will be some amazing chapters to come too...

I agree. If anything. If most ppl dont like the chapter, theyll just move on and give the twins treatment. No cosmetics, no rework until the far future etc

You are minimizing people’s legitimate concerns by saying they “don’t like it.” It’s like saying someone just “didn’t like” their steak because it came out completely raw.

I started in this game when spirit release, August 2018, and i never saw so much hate and disappointment for any chapter, and for me is the same. NOTHING about this chapter make me happy or excited, everything looks like recycle and boring. i have all DLC, i have everything unlock, perks tier 3, but, UNFORTUNETLY, i cant buy this new chapter, because i simply cant accept more lazy work about BHVR and any people should make the same. i really would be like keeping unlocking everything, but, i will be forced to avoid this chapter. If BHVR really care about their players, they should postponed this chapter, its not embarrassing about admit this chapter was below of the expectative and need more working on.

Kind of funny I saw this post then I hopped on FB to see DBD sponsored ad saying it's rated 88/100 on PC Gamer. They've done this before when people have been unhappy, all of a sudden ads for high ratings for DBD start popping up.

What do you expect realistically?
They release so much stuff. If you are a creative person you know how difficult this gets over time when you have restricted boundaries which you have to keep your ideas in all the time.
Some would say we already have too much different killers. You start to see some of them almost nowhere anymore. They could just always release the strongest killer from now on and this one will be played until the next one comes around.

Hi members of the fog
We noticed some people are not a fan of the new chapter so hereby we want to make a official statement that we are terribly sorry you don't like it.
As always we will be monitoring every killer that releases, we are digging through the feedback right now but it might take a while before we get through all the "girls have cooties, robots are cooler" comments.

But I'm more interested to see how the community will react to the fact that the meta will be the same for yet another 3 months minus eruption.
edit: at the time of my post apparently the dev's posted changes for eruption and the killer.. not that much has changed in my opinion still a 3 gen killer which the gameplay isnt the most engaging one. Eruption got reverted to actual regression minus incapacitated status it was overkill anyway..

Do you not think it's possible you're overvaluing the complaints because you agree with them?
The literal only complaint I've seen that isn't personal dislike is that her power might be too good at 3-gen strategies if it's not monitored carefully, and that's hardly on the tier of needing an official response. Everything else is personal dislike.
This isn't a completely raw steak. This is a perfectly serviceable steak seasoned a way you don't like.

While the PTB is live, we tend not to say an awful lot since we don't want to influence feedback. Whether people love the new content or hate it, we're hear to take that feedback to the team. Over the next few days, the team is busy deciding on which changes need to be made and budgeting the time we have before the build needs to be submitted. Once everything's locked in, we'll always try our best to share those changes (like this) as soon as we can.

Thank you! If I can have just one question about Skull Merchant... I didn't understand 100% the part where the blog talks about the cooldown. Does it mean she doesn't have a cooldown to place drones anymore at all? (Only there is that area limit before you can deploy another one).

Will you guys also look at Knight again? His guards doesn't go through pallets any longer. Is this intentional? Because I think it's a bug but I'm not 100% sure.
