Have BHVR followed up on making new cosmetics available for shards?
I remember a few months ago, BHVR stated that they were going to start making all non-licensed cosmetics available for shards. There doesn't seem to have been much progress on that since the first batch that were made available.
They also said that when they released any new Auric Cells only cosmetics, they would add a shard price for those cosmetics 4 weeks later. I haven't really paid attention to see if they were following through on this. I would quite like to get the Maurice skin for the Dredge, and that 4 week window would be up next tuesday or wednesday I think. So, will that skin get a shard price? I notice his doll skin still doesn't have one, but that may have been released before this announcement.

For some odd reason, they're rolling it out slowly. Right now I believe they've done every survivor released before Kate.
But it seems inconsistent, look at Spirit and you'll see that all but her licensed & newest outfit can be bought with shards already. Adam still isn't like that.

I'm more talking about the part where they said that new skins released for auric cells only would get a shard price 4 weeks later. I'm wondering if anyone has noticed whether they are following through with that part.

If that Lunar New Year outfit Feng got was anything to go by, then no, that went away before it was able to be purchased with shards.

That was most likely just a seasonal outfit that will come back with a shard price next year. I believe the 4 week time period was only for skins that would be permanently in the shop, but had an initial release with auric cells only.

They seem to be doing it in waves while every new cosmetic takes 4 weeks to be available for shards

If it will come back for shards I'll be surprised. There was several outfits that came back from last valentines day (Jake, Doctor, and Elodie) and none of them were available for shards. Don't wanna accuse but it seems like this is there way of skirting around the "well they will be available for shards after release" if they can constantly keep "releasing" it

It seems like the answer to my question is no, they are not sticking to their statement. I believe the Maurice Skin will have been available for 4 weeks as of today, and there is still no shard price for it. This is disappointing.

The answer is yes, they have as of now.
with the exception of event limited Outfits that stayed longer than 4 weeks as they will be available for shards in their next period. But those haven’t been introduced when they made that statement of all original outfits becoming available for shards.
it’s not exactly 4 weeks, Vittorios release skins also needed 1-2 days more for it

My grocery store has a loyalty program where I get stuff at discounted rates, money of gas fill ups, and even free items every now and then. So in essence, they do take shards

Weird company worship. But even so, BHVR specifically said that they would make these cosmetics available for shards within 4 weeks. It's not crazy to try to hold them to their word.

This was discussed by BHVR when they explained the Event Cosmetics becoming "limited time". Basically, after BHVR's 2 cosmetic updates (1. auric cell nonlicensed cosmetics being purchasable w/ shards & 2. limited time event cosmetics) Event cosmetics will be introduced one year (Ex: Halloween TP Dwight from 2022) for auric cells only, then available the next year (Halloween 2023 event) for Auric cells and shards.
Not sure if any in-game events such as Halloween, Winter, or LNY last over 4 weeks. But if they do it seems, that the new event cosmetics won't be available for shards until a year after release.

I will hold out hope and keep checking for another week. I really want to be horse Dredge, but it feels like a waste to spend money on cosmetics when I have like 120k shards burning a hole in my... wallet? Shard sack? Where do you keep shards?

So the Maurice skin is now avaiable for shards. It took slightly over 4 weeks, but fair enough . It does look as though they are following through with giving the skins a shard price about 4 weeks later.
