Can't wait for the 3-gen Merchant
Tbf, there's not much they could've buffed without making her stronger at 3 genning. Her power is territorial by design. But I reckon this is another case of Knight disease that makes trials last until the 1 hour limit. Which I don't think is what the game needs right now.
At least, she'll get good cosmetics.

Pretty much.
This changes/buffs just encourage a 3gen strat even more, that's why there had to be a total reworking of her power and then proceed with appropriate enhancements

This is how you should play killers btw.
If knight can do it then SM should do it too.
Also if you are so concerned about gen holding, then you should ask for slowdown nerfs.
But BHVR just walked back on Eruption nerf, so will be still good choice for any genholder lol.
Another problem if they nerf gen holding, then most killer has nothing, and survivors would have nerfed to the ground

Her power still does nothing in chase or to injured Survivors. Only one possible way to play her which is not fun for most Survivors and for many Killers too.
I think they will buff her in future again, same like Knight. Until then, she will be underpowered.

I feel like if anything they tried to buff her for chase and made her way worse at 3 genning. Being able to always hack drones after 10 seconds claw trap or no nerfs her 3 gen game by a ton.

What have they changed, seeing as I have no clue where this set of changes was put (it's not in PTB feedback, general news, or the actual news articles, so where am I supposed to be looking? The surface of the moon?)

"Tbf, there's not much they could've buffed without making her stronger at 3 genning."
When she kicks a gen it could remove nearby drones and regressing gens can prevent drones from being placed nearby (just like how drones interact with hooking/hooked survivors).
Then she would have to choose between drones or gen-kick perks for her 3-gen strat.

3 genning is a smart choice on any killer. survivors complain about every single strategy killers have-three genning, camping, tunneling, the only thing killers can do apparently is chase all 4 survivors in order, giving the rest time to do the gens, resulting in a 4 man escape if the team is even the smallest bit competent at looping considering how safe the modern maps are
7 -
why not just put it on the PTB section... I don't really get the point of having a developer update one that separates relevant updates out from their parents. <_>
Yup, looks like camping gens is still her only viable strategy. She gets more information and for longer, but the stealth still has a delay for no apparent reason, and it'll never really come into it in chase. At least she's no longer slower (effectively, due to hitboxes) than Survivors whilst using her tablet?

Ironically they gave a anti-healing perk to a Killer who's power can be completely ignored by not healing
Something funny about that

Don’t see how the Demogorgon with his Lifeguard Whistle add-on isn’t better at 3 genning than the Skull Merchant?

You can argue that the problem is also just the game itself, and not her as a killer. I for one like her design very much, in general, but she might not fit into DBD that well at the moment because of how the game currently is.
One problem in my opinion is that Overcharge and Call of Brine still stack, for example. And 3 gens like the one on Haddonfield are also problematic.
However, they have changed it so that you can now disable drones while you have a claw trap on you. If that really wasn't possible in the ptb, her 3-gen might be a tad weaker when she officially releases.

Doctor has monitor and abuse? And blight has a perk that procs only on m1 hits? Its not the first time, hell dredge has two terror radious perks and his power takes away his tr.
1 -
Welp, time to abuse the killer

I never said it was the first time nor that It hadn't happened before
I was just saying it's ironic and it's funny. You have to remember new players picking up a Killer for the first time will likely on have their perks to work with, so if their personal perks don't work with their power or are even a hinderance then it's bad for those players
This is why Sadako and Pinhead likely do so well, their teachables are insanely good for new players.

Nah I was messing with you, yes its kinda funny but then again skullmerchant's mechanics and poer are funny as a whole.

I can think of something of hers that could use appropriate enhancements
2 -
dredge has 2 terror radius-based perks

Yeah weird right?
idk why they do it

You would see her for a while because she is new and some people want to try her but after a month she is going to have same or lower pickrate than trickster
1 -
And the best part is, she's still going to be way worse at three genning than most killers. What's the point of having all that information when there's nothing in your kit that lets you capitalize on it? If you ask me to win via 3-gen and I have to choose between Wraith with Surveillance and no other perks, or Skull Merchant with a full gen kicking build, I'm taking Wraith without hesitation.

yup, her entire gameplay loop will be to stall the game and hope you can snowball off of a few quick downs. Yet another killer where a 30 minute dc pen is less of a waste of time than actually playing against the killer
2 -
May I tell y'all I told ya?
Here's the second part. She will get changes, but those will be minor buffs and her game stalling ability won't be addressed at all (something something Knight).
