Killers get 0.2 secs faster pallet breaking speed and 0.2 secs reduced hit cooldown which barely ever makes a difference because survivors make it to another pallet 99% of the time. 10 secs added to generators is a joke, gen speed is faster than ever now thanks to the gen regression nerfs. Whereas survivors get basekit BT + Guardian (which also guarantees a free escape if hooked near an open exit gate) and information about the whole match on their hud, which further boosts gen speed. Also Dead Hard is still the most strongest exhaustion meta perk. Call this an "us vs. them" post all you want but you can't argue with reality and facts. Comparing the buffs both sides received it is clear that the killer "buffs" barely made a difference (0.2 secs faster, really lol?), while the survivor buffs were game changing (and they will still receive more buffs in the name of a "QOL change")

Where do all these come from?! Literally a pandemic lol.

It's barely 8 am for me, and I've already seen two of these.
5 -
Please tell us the number of buff you wanted!
3 -
the kill rate went from around 50% to 60% right? Definitely had some sort of impact. killers really didn't get buff that much rather survivors lost DS which made tunneling easier to do.
5 -
I won't call it an us vs them post.
I'll just call it a Dunning-Kruger post.
Killer is objectively the easiest it's ever been, not just comparatively to the past, but also on an absolute scale. If you load into a match playing to win, then you'll win 90% of the time against pub teams. If you don't, you're either holding back, or you overestimate your game knowledge.
17 -
Not seeing you arguing the logic tho. It's easy to just leave a troll comment and move on huh?
3 -
You spend your first hour after waking up on a video game forum?
3 -
Lmao
4 -
what happened to the gen regression buffs killers received too? oh right reverted lol.
2 -
It's either the forums, Youtube, or Twitter. Gotta do something while laying in bed waiting for my body to be as awake as my brain feel and scrolling through Insta reels on seals, puppies, and cows can only do so much.
12 -
Yeah and basekit unbreakable is gonna be the cherry on top.
2 -
Mainly coz tunneling was made a lot easier after DS nerf and dead hard was almost dropped completely. Dead Hard usage has skyrocketed again and so has survival rates, on nightlight killers have a 54% average killrate, not much more than the 51-53% it was before the buffs.

Bold of you to asume the time at which I wake up

OmG, KiLlEr so hard you guys!
Seriously, how does anyone even enjoy playing killer anymore?
Every single lobby is a complete sweatfest with these HUD changes too!
I just want to chill and have some fun but they genrush me in one chase, so unfair!
When will the Devs make Killer playable again?
Just give killers that instadown all survivors at the start of the match so we have a fighting chance against these SoloQ killsquads!
I'm kidding of course. Just play one ######### SoloQ match before you complain about the health state of killer gameplay. Because it's not even in the same ballpark as the actual unplayable game mode. The killer entitlement is even worse than the survivor one and that's a HUGE achievement. Pretty good job so far folks.
14 -
Yes, it is.
If you think not, then you have to reconsider your playing skills
5 -
Why is the title written so odd?
I've gotten two characters to p100 in soloq. It's...not that great. As someone pointed out and posted their screenshots, their description of the experience is quite accurate.
2 -
I mean it is.
1 -
I play survivor a lot.
I rarely feel like the killer is doing anything over powering.
Every single soloQ or two man SWF game I play, I feel like the other survivors are actively working to toss the game.
Most of my pictures show Claudette circling in a map corner while the killer face camps with 1-2 gens left.
I don't think its a killer issue, its a solo que player issue and what they want to do, will do in the match.
3 -
Yes, killer is the easiest it has ever been. If you're having trouble it's a skill issue.
8 -
I wish some people could play 2018 killer and reconsider their opinions
9 -
also killer = 70% kill rate
end of discussion
no but seriously, I did ask a few days ago why people were raging about dc's in solo q and I just now realized it is really happening. What's going on?
1 -
1) 60%
2) statistics that were collected after the dh change, when people had not yet learned how to use dh
3) after that, the survivors got an incredibly strong hud
3 -
Just because you can't seem to win as Killer doesn't mean the rest of us are having trouble.
8 -
I won't say killer is unplayable because objectively that'd be false but I don't remember ever getting stomped so hard and so frequently for weeks. I used to completely refuse to run any gen regression because I have more fun going for an aggressive build to help me get to the next chase as soon as possible but now I started running Pain Res nearly every game because I'm done with this.
For me personally, killer is the second hardest it has been in 2 years. The only time when it was worse for me was right after the hit validation change in 2021, mainly because that felt more awful than getting stomped. The amount of items and offerings I see in an average game is ridiculous. Yes, it is 3+ medkits and toolboxes every game and yes, they are in the best rarities stacked with addons that make you question your sanity. Before you ask, yes, I also see my fair share of offerings to go to Garden of Misery, Ormond, Badham, Eyrie etc.
It's so easy to play weak killers right now. You get sent to Garden of Misery begin a chase only for them to run the infinite. You drop chase and go for the next only to see them do the exact same thing. It's so easy to win a game in 4 and a half minutes because the gens are done by that time. It's so easy to deal with DH in every chase again and down survivors with 3 health states quick enough to actually be able to compete.

jesus i didn't know it was back in the 50%
u sure? behavior said they would do something if this kill rates start falling again

You know, Killer can be the easiest it has ever been AND you personally can be struggling while playing Killer. This just means that "the easiest it has ever been" is not easy enough for you.
Both things can exist at the same time.
Granted, it will probably be a bit more difficult with the Eruption-Nerf, since some Killers really got boosted by it.
6 -
Nightlight is not accurate for kill rates. I've seen a dev on here actually say this once before. The real kill rates are 61% at the highest MMR. Even when the update to buff killers was new the kill rates were very different on nightlight vs the official kill rate.
3 -
"you can't argue with reality and the facts"
ok
Fact - Killrates have gone up across the board
Fact - No killer has below a 50% killrate (Meaning at least 2 kills)
Fact - New DH is still fairer than old DH, no matter how much you are annoyed by it
Fact - With a 4 generator slowdown build, matches will drag on forever if you choose to play it like that. This goes double for small maps like Saloon
Fact - Basekit BT does nothing against someone who is determined to tunnel you out (T. someone who tunnels when necessary)
Fact - Eruption was an uncounterable perk that turned any survivor hit by it into dead weight
Fact - Maps and map RNG is likely a big reason for deciding who wins and loses a match, which is why map RNG on certain realms is being reworked in the Skull Merchant patch.
Conclusion? Both sides are meant to win and lose a lot, that's the game.

This post here is just the opposite exaggeration to the main post of the thread here. Neither killer nor solo queue is impossible in any form. I do get that solo queue still suffers from bad matchmaking, but you can definitely win in solo queue matches as well, and the solo queue buffs surely helped.
Bad matchmaking is also not a matter of balance. And I think OP is more talknig about balance.
1 -
90% is quite the exaggeration I believe, unless you mean not tunneling and camping crazily with holding back. Then maybe.
I do agree that killer is not in a terrible spot right now, though I would argue killer was the easiest before the solo queue buffs. Killers do still have frustrations to deal with, which need to be addressed, especially maps that are still terribly unbalanced. But so do survivors, especially in the form of tunneling and camping.

OMG, you lost 1 match out of 50? Preposterous!!! We need to buff killer ASAP!
1 -
By holding back I mean not using what is available to a player in order to win, as I allude to in my whole post Tunneling and camping, for better or worse, are part of the game. And they're devastating in the current meta and not really difficult to perform against the teams encountered in public matches. If one is struggling under those conditions, then it's on them for not using what's available to them, not because the game handicaps killers.

I mean to be be fair, killers could use some QOL changes too. .2 seconds is still kinda a whatever compared to a 10 second BT boost. I wouldn’t mind better and more varied but pallet spawns along with changing window spawns. Perhaps even a rework of some of the main buildings. They truly just need to think about ways to help killers that don’t disrupt the game as a whole. The easiest way would be map changes

Killer is the easiest its been, that's a fact. How ever that doesn't mean that killer is easy. It will always be the more demanding role since you have to manage 4 other people who are supposed to be of equal skill.
As for the QoL Survivor buffs, they are just that. Any time I've been in a SWF, the icons might as well not even be there as its information I already had prior. What this did was tighten the gap between Solo Q and SWF. Now that its done, the devs can balance the game more accordingly which is obviously something they plan on doing since we're supposedly getting 4 meta shake ups a year now. Probably not as big as 6.1.0, but it should still be significant.
