The Devs Will Crash This Game
Obviously there are worse dev groups out there, but BHVR and their lack of an ability to realistically, consistently, and logically address community concerns has always driven me nuts.
No, I do not think the devs should do whatever the playerbase says.
Yes, it is there game and they have 100% freedom to do what they want.
But, both of those do not change how they are so disconnected from the community, despite the Fog Whisperer program, community surveys, and the posts on this forum and the Steam forums.
Lets not forget the dev opinion on making Kindred basekit.
The Devs want to make their game, and that is 100% cool, but I feel like if there is anything that will kill the game, it is them (which is obvious). Not the community (even though it can get super shotty), not DLCs (solely), not monetization (solely), not game health, but the devs, and how they treat things like the community, DLCs, monetization and game health.
It all comes down to them. This is nothing new, I'm well aware that I'm not uncovering new ground here.
Why did screams change? Idk
Where is the new Mori system? Idk (More like WHY is the new mori system? Idk)
Twins rework? Idk
Spirit fixes? Idk
Why have we gotten more anti-loop killers? Idk
Knight addon rework? Idk
Bloodpoint spending improvement? Idk
We get a new DLC pumped out every 3-4 months, and that will usually be hype, but WHERE ARE THESE CHANGES!?
A simple update with each developer post would suffice.
I'd be completely comfortable with the devs axing 1-2 DLCs off their yearly slate if it meant more focus on the base-game things that the community will ALWAYS come back to when a DLC isn't coming or in focus. If they replaced some slated DLC's with HUGE and HELPFUL updates or reworks then I would be 100% happy. More time to work on DLCs, more time to work on the base game or past features as well.
Gimme more updates like the 60 perk rework one a year ago. That was when the game what at its best last.

They really have gone off the rails here.

Can we all stop underappreciating the people responsible for the very existence of the game we are all playing and care about?

Why would we not complain about them crashing it as well? Nobody mentioned NOT appreciating the devs for making the game.
This thread is solely about critiquing certain directions they take in preserving and "improving" it.
It's people like you that tear their eyes away from issues with the game.
Person 1: Here's an issue with the game
Devs: *See the issue* We'll get on it! We see this! We wanna make the game better! (I wish they said this more lol)
People like you: Never mind that! Keep doing what you're doing! All is good! You made the game anyways!
*Cut to the issue still persisting and nothing changing*

Very least we knew the mori system wasn't being implemented. That was a PTB test of the concept and was never intended to go live with the corresponding patch. What's going on now, I can't say.

Fair enough.
I always felt that the Mori rework could be its own game mode. Like some kind of speed match mode. If they added a new survivor objective it could be fun and fast.

What did you mean by Spirit fixes? She already got hit pretty hard a year and a half ago….

You can add haggie fixes in the list too...she has bugs from 2018. Her Halloween cosmetic is still bugged, her power is still destroyed by flashlights with a simple click, etc.

i like how the community manager doesn't say a single word.

Just some of the genuine glitches people have been reporting.

There's nothing wrong with expecting better. They've come out with 2 pretty sub par chapters in a row. They're ignoring a lot of the older killers that could do with rebalancing. The game could do with a myriad of improvements and QoL stuff.
People are going to ask for changes they want to see. That's kind of the point pf the forum.
Imo most of the stuff we ask for simply won't happen because the focus is (and kind of has to be) about making money. Most of the effort goes into churning out a new chapter every 4 months. Because that's what keeps the money rolling in.
