I experienced this while playing dbd. Please do something about it.

I played a total of 185 games (a total of solo queue matches and with friends), and out of that, survivors or myself experienced being camped/tunneled out of those games 75.

That's a little over 40% of matches in total.

Please do something about tunneling/camping. And by doing something, I don't mean to make more "anti-tunneling/camping" perks or buffing survivors. That's pointless and it's a waste of a perk slot, and most of the time, very boring perks.

This game is becoming very boring and it's the same crap every other match. DBD is becoming to me, maybe not all, but tedious and repetitious due to the same gameplay/game style of killers.

Please make dbd fun again.

And fun to me doesn't mean winning, I don't mind losing even if I had lost all 185 games. But to be tunneled/camped out of a game within minutes is insane to me and not fun. Every survivor should have their two hooks count towards something.

More strict mechanics to control tunneling and camping can work, but only if gens cannot be completed fast af.

Allow more time to go for hooks AND mechanically restrict tunneling, camping + slugging. I'd bet money the game feels a lot less crappy after that.

For this reason, my friends stop playing it more and more. It's more like a toxic tunneling camping bubble that will soon burst and the players will leave.

Yesterday and the day before I had several games that were less than 5 minutes and a few that were only 4 because the gens were absolutely flying. If a team spreads out and applies pressure to multiple gens most killers do not stand a chance of winning. I have over 5k hours and regularly play both sides and am pretty good at both sides, when 4 survivors play safe and hard focus gens unless you're one of the top killers you lose. When I'm playing with my swf we might lose 1 or 2 games a night and that's usually because we mess up, survivors hold such a strong advantage in this game when played optimally and lately I've had to not play the killers I enjoy if I want to win.

Many more killers are tunneling because the moment 4 survivors that know what they are doing (SoloQ or SWF thanks to the Status HUD) are in your game you either take one survivor before the 3º gen is done or it is almost a lost game. Some high mobility killers like Wesker have an easier time, but most M1 killers without mobility powers don't.

Anyway, like it has happened with other things I saw in this forum, I started playing as survivor and I didn't see that the tunneling and camping "problem" is so frequent as people say, and many time I suffered it is because someone had the brilliant idea of unhooking me at 5 meters of the killer.

Also, your fun is not anyone responsibility but yours. You have to make your fun. Don't like getting tunneled? Get better at looping or play more stealthy. But you can't pretend for people to not play to win in a competitive game just because it interferes with your fun. It's like asking someone in Fortnite to not kill you at the drop site because "It's not fun to be killed before I could even get a weapon". It's how the game works, that's it.

I've played like ten games and I was not tunnelled a single time, nor did I see anyone being tunnelled.

There was even a point where it felt like it at the time, but no, I just went down a window and the killer never saw me until I landed right in front of them.

I'm not saying it doesn't happen, but I don't think it happens 50% of the time.

This is your experience and not a good metric.

I get tunneled/face camped pretty frequently, and on stream can see the killer face camping people in my squad usually one out of every 3 games I play. It's more common than people realize, I've got a whole record of just how often it occurs lol

Best post I've seen so far that wasn't some condescending person boiling it down to "get better," and "not our fault you can't have fun."

The core DNA of DBD is camping/tunneling which are things gamers have LONG had an issue with. I can't think of anyone who gleefully declares that camping is ok/fun without having at least THREADS of troll DNA in their system. I think the issue with DBD is they didn't try to find more unique things to do in the game (like utilizing more harsh lighting/luminosity contrast) and other things other than windows, pallets and random stuff. It's kind of like they painted them-selves into a corner, and here we are.

Yeah, we, the people that says that your fun is not responsibility of anyone but you, are the ones in the high horse. Not the entitled ones that want for everybody plays the way they say so they can have their rightful fun in a competitive game, of course.

No way. I flunked math. Thanks for clearing that up for me!
